@@asdwad59asana90 It's probably the biggest noob trap pet in the entire game because while survivability wise it's amazing, the issue is that it's an absolutely useless tank because the pet deals no damage and will never hold aggro. It does no damage and it will never get enough aggro to tank anything, it's the epitome of an actual useless pet.

I actually love the clip of the Dad dinging 60 with his kids watching. It's the equivalent of me sitting on the couch watching my dad beat Bowser in Mario 3 in 1998. Raising a new generation of blasters.
These compilations got me to buy a WoW sub for the first time ever 3 days ago. My first character was a troll priest where I already died at lvl 7 now I’m a human warrior at lvl 9

We got the best of both worlds. A Huntard mass pulling with pet. Then a giga Chad hunter standing his ground and playing to perfection 👌
To be fair Gnomeregan is hot garbage especially for that kind of stuff. There's so much bullshit cheap deaths like that Z axis pull in the instance that it should systematically be skipped. It's completely unfun and in HC it's a death trap. Oh, and the gear is mostly trash too. SM is infinitely better.
I haven't played WoW in years, but I enjoy watching these Hardcore mistakes. Also, that dad hitting 60. Good on him :) That was lovely :)

I never got into WoW as a player. But watching compilations of hardcore deaths got me...go figure. (Of course Asmongold makes me laugh with the commentary! 😂)
Mmos are not my thing but the way asmon explains what went wrong actually makes these compilations extremely entertaining

hunters come in 3 kinds, 1st, "huntard." 2nd, troll. 3rd, literal god of gaming. I swear there's no in-between.
everytime I see a hunters pet run off I just face palm. Guys its not hard to keep the damn thing on passive and just keybind attack and follow commands.
Mouse scroll wheel up = attack, down = passive.

@@dubious6718 i remember my friend has this kind of keybind for his pet. i take note.i copy and i bind my vanish and stealt for rogues and inner and shield for priest. it save me alot of time in duels.

Poor gnomeregan rouge tried to warn them and some ice for brains didnt get the memo. It was messy, but you could still tell that he called bottom pack being pulled by the pet, not just the one add behind the main pack. Whoever wanted to hold the door killed the group :c

9:14 these guys are horrible. They can't even take down regular enemies who are at level. They worry more about not dying than dealing with the enemies they are facing. They aren't even targeting the tanks target and focusing on taking down that enemy. They are so bad.
Compare that to Pomegranat at the end who doesn't freak out and gets the kill.
Hiffi's death, just over two bars from 60, was so sad to watch.

The thing I never understand about these situations is 9 times out of 10 they are not RUNNING away. Backpedaling, shifting, walking, jumping, moving away at some pace, sure, but they're not RUNNING AWAY. If you want to see behind you move the damn camera, don't move your characters perspective and slow him down. If you're going to hamstring, then jump and hamstring in the air and face away again before you land. It's really not hard. Your movement speed should always be 100% away from the threat no matter what you're doing. The second the warrior at 5:00 got all that aggro he should have just immediately tell hightailed it. Instead he kinda sits there, peers over, fights a few then halfheartedly tries to get away.
I think Asmon plays hardcore on the DL. Probably reviewed one of his own deaths too.
I love how the drowning players always manage to jump out of the water, just before the last damage tick kills them.
These clips of gnomer drive me crazy. If everything pulls in that hallway, wait until the mobs gets close, jump into the middle and hearth. The mobs have to run ALL the way back around, plenty of time to get away. Nobody needs to die here. Stop dying here.
Speaking of priests bro my priest in hardcore razorfen was legit driving while playing wow on his phone. My guy was literally risking his life in two worlds.
I got mount training at 52 and 3 minutes later got complacent with half hp in badlands, thought the terrain was flat enough to land on while going downhill but just kept sliding to my death, wasn't actually as painful as the 2 deaths in mid 20's realized it was going to happen sooner or later, better then than being geared 60 in dungeon and someone else causing it. Was taking way to much of my time anyway and felt quite freeing. Won't touch hc again lol far too slow paced for me

The upside: Maybe that makes the hunter feel a little less guilty.
It is frustrating when you make a clear call and someone just blocks it, without having any situational awareness.
Sounds like some ego shit going on, that he felt the need to "put you in your place".
Good that he lost the character to that for acting up, instead of trying to understand what even was happening before opening his (virtual) mouth.
The upside: Now the hunter can feel a little less guilty.
It is frustrating when you make a reasonable call and someone just shuts you down, creating chaos.
It sounds like some ego problem, that he felt the need to "put you in your place", not even trying to understand the situation first but turning it into some odd power struggle for no good reason.
Good that he lost his character due to his behaviour.
Also: well played, warning the group and trying to help them still.
I only feel a bit sorry for the healer, because he stayed with the group who dragged him down with them.
I’m so out of my realm watching wow content, I’ve never played it and generally have absolutely no clue what’s going on but I find it so interesting. And the fact that wow has been on going for most of my life is impressive in it of itself

This is why you have "aggro" and "passive" on your mouse so you can send your pet out and call it back very easily. Playing hunter is not that hard ppl

Nah, I've never had an issue with any pet. Learn to control ya pets! 3-manned the entire raid there and had zero issues.@@MortimerFolchert
the priest didnt fail his group he was spamming a spell to try anbd save that rogue and it didnt go off because the rogue was either LOS or just not using dmg mitigation. im glad people can see whats it like being a healer and someone say its your fault bro... sometimes its just RNG on which nearly dead person i heal next.... lol
The bosses with full aggro on tank just to turn around and bop someone dead and go right back around like it was an accident and as a healer im just "wtf am I suppose to do if you get one tapped."
The worst one that I managed to save was actually on me. Can't remember the dungeon name but it was in Cataclysm the underwater one. its got goblins in there that do a wave knock back.
I had one spam that knock back on me all the way back to the other end of the hallway and it almost wiped us lol. Entire party was red before I got back to them.

if you bop someone accidentally, just use any other blessing after it.... it overrides it. that paladin was just bad

I dont think the hunter at the end is getting enough recognition. He played his mana bar there well, while not taking aggro over his pet. That was wonderful.
Weird shiit happen to me i was doing normal quests and i aggro random packs which i lost my lvl 30 char, guess what .. i lost my brother too after long health problem RIP

The pala tank in WC with "heals" in his name clearly didnt fat finger the bop, he waited for the perfect moment to dispose of the priest, who would otherwise roll need for the staff that dropped. Now the pala has it and can finally heal :)
That silly murderous paladin will feel extra silly when he remembers he can't use a staff.

I love these videos. I played wow for years, from the beginning. Stopped for 6y or so. Even after playing for years ,i often still don't know what's going on in these videos. I don't know all areas,quests,mobs... But i did try HC. Priest... lvl'ing very slow , no dungeons,avoiding caves if possible,...Made it to 37. Pulled two mobs of lvl 39 by accident and i was almost dead,but made it. BUT a horde player was watching me this whole time, and instead of helping, he , a hunter, pulled 3 other mobs to me and feigned death 😒.
i still remember back in the days, when i was with hunters, if they assumed they had no idea how the dungeon is, they were simply not calling their pet/ keeping it "passive" why can't they do that now
that gnomereagan grp was dicing with death taking a hunter and rogue in one run, thats nearly 50% of your grp with easy outs and no reason to fight to the end. big mistake.
Pretty sure we had a hunter and rogue in our run and we had no issues. You only vanish/FD as a last resort. If you manage feint and disengage you’ll be the last one alive regardless.
If I played hardcore I would play so safe and stack all the consumes like fire protection when I fight the bloodsea mages
Only fight mobs lower level than you and avoid group elite quests.
Imagine wanting a hunter in your group for anything
It is astounding that despite being 20 years old with written and video guides to compete in volume and quality with COOKBOOKS, people are STILL dogwater in WoW Classic.
Hc has attracted a lot of new players

Heres the thing about doing hardcore as a duo. If one dies... the other does not need to end their character too. Just... stop playing it and level up a new one with the other person. Even if its the same class. The character is a resource still. And... say down the line you are the one that loses a character instead of hear. Oh... Look... You have another character to level up with her.
The hunter's target was skull marked. Who ever set the mark is partially responsible.

"Everyone" knows that you stay away from the edges in Gnomer. Hunter was standing a bit close to the edge, so if he stood near the wall, this wouldn't have happened.

I think the thing that kills the idea of HC WoW to me is that I would never feel comfortable PUGing anything, I would get pissed when some troglodyte fucks up RFC so I can't even imagine being 80+ hours into a character to have some dipshits kill me from a botched pull.

I love asmon trashing groups with pally tanks. Makes me feel a whole lot better as a 2h Ret Tank slamming out dungeons without wipes. skill issue tbh with most pally players. Lack of awareness too. low game sense. Never trust a Consecration sword and shield pally. Go with a gamer Ravager Ret Pal

I don't understand what was so good about that last clip with the hunter. he jump down in the wrong spot. if he had run straight there's a piller he can stand on, to avoid any of that dangerous stuff he did. He was good enough to salvage a bad situation he put himself into. He wasn't smart.
I made the same mistake as dory, miner pre Q but I somehow made it all the way to westfall on about 20 hp

wow player obsession with CLICKING = BAD is just ridiculous. Even glads click, keyboard turn and backpeddle sometimes.
Sometimes it's the right thing to do, and allows you to do 2-3 other things in the same time. We only have two hands and 10 fingers.
If they were actually good they'd realise why it's not bad.
Only click bonker cooldowns like Light of Elune, Lay on Hands. Otherwise clicking should be banned

I'm not sure you'll see this or why I'm even typing it. There was a game, back in like 2000-2005ish that was pure skill and pure death penalty. Not like lose your character but like still lose the weeks/months of grinding. It was a 2D MMO that was full of straight politics, hard-core skill, it made men out of young adults, even though the graphics were 2D, it was literally in my day, the best game. Between people in Brazil, Korea, and China, the politics/badassery that we accomplished between servers...the good old days. It was called....Tibia
