I saw dozens of videos and nothing. But with yours I finally got it. I think I repeated the beginning over 20 times. I guess I am a visual learner. The camera placement is perfect it's like you are recording with your own eyes. Thanks
I’ve always done under hand & I thought there was something wrong with me as all the videos I try to learn from do the “proper” braid style thanks so much for this ❤I was so happy to see u can do it both ways
Ma’am, I am blind and have been since I was a baby. Thank you. You taught me how to cornrow my hair. I am going to practice. Thank you. I didn’t think I could do it.
Wow that's a very big accomplishment, that's awesome! Happy for you. And i agree her instructions are well explained, but i don't think i could learn without seeing. So Kudos to you!
I watched this video over and over for a few hours and i was able to braid my 3 year old’s hair! Once I learned I was an underhanded braider, it clicked. I didn’t know there was more than one way to braid. Thank you
You are officially my new go to when I need a hair tutorial. I’ve been trying to learn for yearrrrsss and you’re the first one to actually make an easy to follow detailed but not too long and also great viewpoint tutorial. I love your life never stop ❤
Explained perfectly. I find underhand easier. I recently did my niece's hair with that method and it looked so good. This is the only video I found that explains the difference between the two methods so well ❤
I just want to say I’ve watched so many videos and after what yours I FINALLY figured out how to cornrow my daughter’s hair! I feel amazing!! Thank you! 😊
I finally did it!!! At the beginning there's a little tension in my fingers when I tried to follow this method exactly. But when I relaxed and allowed them to do what comes naturally to get it going.. after that, I'm on a roll!!! Thank you for this video !
Thank you for showing both methods I really love this idea for Longs while I've been struggling how to do cornrows after watching this video this helped me a lot better and learn what's best for me either over or under method . Thank you .
I believe you have finally helped me pinpoint why my cornrows aren’t coming out like they should I’m not giving a base and I’m adding way to much hair thank you very much for this video
Maaaan I watched my wife all year wake up and do my daughter’s hair. I came here to learn so I could do it every once in a while. Glad there’s others out here.
Finally someone explains braiding with overhand and underhand. Some videos would confuse me because I learned underhand and they would teach overhand. Thank you so much
I’m more of a hand-ons person, but this video was helpful. I just practiced on my daughter and had a few good braids! I’m going to keep watching this video until my cornrows come out perfect like yours!
I always wanted to learn how to braid, but being older and knowing my mom is not going to be here forever, I'm pushing myself to learn by the end of the year. Thanks for the video, this helped me out a lot
I’m a dad learning to braid I already know how to play really good I just want to learn how to braid and I must say this is the best braid tutorial I’ve seen thus far most of em just braid and talk a lil but she giving a full step by step breakdown and for that I must say THANK YOU this was very helpful you have successfully earned a official subscriber and future member
Glad 2 hear there no wrong or right way 2 braid all this time I thought it was a 1 way. I'm going 2 braid where it's more comfortable 4 me & that's under braid
Thank you so much today I watched your video nd did my daughter hair nd you helped me soooo much I still need more practic but my first try came out not to bad but I will be practicing more so I'll be watching your videos more until I get it nd even so on
The Lord really will help you, you don’t need to say his name and vain and those nice and neat cornrows will definitely come to you. Practice, effort and patience ❤ It’s very fun and quick to learn too! God bless
Her tone is so kind ; there is no correct way ; and here is me doing my very first perfect Conroe in just 15mins 🎉🎉🎉😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ am so happy thank you RUAR
I’m 12 years old and my grandma teaches me how to braid hair she even lets me practice on her hair :) it’s been 2 days and I’m already getting a lot better!!! But next time I see my grandma I want to surprise her❤
Learn how to do a simple Dutch braid first, it’s easier that way. With Dutch braid just put the middle piece over the outer pieces when braiding. Easiest way it was explained to me.
For real, like her hand is in the way and I don’t understand how she be saying what to do I’ve literally been trying for the past 3 hours, and now I’m giving up
I’ve always wondered this too. Thank you so much for answering this question! I never knew where to grab the hair from. I didn’t know if I should be grabbing from the sides or straight up from the middle.
Love that you showed the different types Is there a way as I learn to braid to smooth out the hair so you don’t see the section(part) hair that you grab to add as you’re braiding or it’ll come out like that everytime ? (I hope my question makes sense)
As a mixed girlie learning how to do things like cornrows, braids, crochet etc its like learning a whole new world. I do well on other’s hair but as soon as it’s my own it just doesn’t feel as natural and I have trouble parting. Do you have a video explaining how to do your own hair properly or techniques? Thank you hopefully I can perfect these cornrows so I can finally install a wig😅
I could be wrong, but I learned underhand is when you feed the hair under the middle piece and overhand is when you feed the hair over the middle piece. One is a Dutch cornrow and the other is a french cornrow.
Im struggling with this intensely. I can’t see when you grab the hair at 1:00. Like I’m genuinely getting confused as to which strand goes in the rotation
@IndyBindy Can you please make a how-to flat twist tutorial? I have watched numerous tutorials, and no one is truly explaining how to flat twist. They aren't showing how to move your fingers, how to properly do the movement and which hair goes where, etc. It's very frustrating.
I greatly appreciate your acronym..RUAR🎉... bc that's how I remember things better. You did an awesome job making this video!! You explained things so well while showing what you are talking about💯THANK YOU LOVE🫶🏿
I don’t understand. My hands won’t let me grab the opposite strand of hair. When I braid I always grab the middle first. I get confused trying to grab the opposite end piece first
I DID IT Y’ALL!!!!!!!!
Okay bet !!! ❤
Congratulations!!!! I’m still working on it! Wish me luck!
Congratulations!!!
ayeeeee let’s goooo!!!!
Thank you!!!

Exactly I just commented on that. All this time I thought u supposed 2 over braid not under now I know it doesn't matter

You did it so well to where's both braids look the same. I'm learning to braid for my daughter lol
Few minutes watching and i really got it🎉
exactly the angle and explanation i was after, thank you
I’m curious, when you pick the hair do you pick a whole line of hair or 50% of hair from the left/right side each time?
like 50%!! That’s a good question, there’s some left but eventually it gets rotated into the braid
I’ve always wondered this too. Thank you so much for answering this question! I never knew where to grab the hair from. I didn’t know if I should be grabbing from the sides or straight up from the middle.
you earned a new subscriber
Wow ! That is wonderful , you make it look so easy , lol , I am still working on it , I am watching you video over and over still learning 😊

You are good teacher
Thank you 😍it's clear finally I got it😘
i love this. would it be too much to use three different hair wax colors to differentiate each piece bc it’s so hard to follow the strands 😢
Hello, RUAR, which piece are you adding to, all pieces? Thank you!!!
Great job done
I would love to try this on my son’s hair. My one question is: Do you tie the cornrow braid off with an elastic?
That depends on the texture of the hair. If your son's hair is loose and/or silky, it would be best to use an elastic.
Omg you’re the best!!!!!!!!!
awww stop itttt🥺💕💕 thank you!
Thank you so much for your video
You just have to practice on fake doll hair over and over again. Takes time. You learn this better by actually doing it manually.
I will do this to at least get the technique down more and to say I’m trying lol
I could be wrong, but I learned underhand is when you feed the hair under the middle piece and overhand is when you feed the hair over the middle piece. One is a Dutch cornrow and the other is a french cornrow.
That's how I learned it. Now I'm confused
Im struggling with this intensely. I can’t see when you grab the hair at 1:00. Like I’m genuinely getting confused as to which strand goes in the rotation
Same with me
Your moving without saying exactly what your doing. I appreciate the help but it’s not working.
Very nice
do you grab all the hair at the scalp or half for each side
half for each side
I can't really see close up on what you are doing. The hair is one color which is confusing go me.
How do you secure the braid knot when you reach the end of the twisting?
@IndyBindy Can you please make a how-to flat twist tutorial? I have watched numerous tutorials, and no one is truly explaining how to flat twist. They aren't showing how to move your fingers, how to properly do the movement and which hair goes where, etc. It's very frustrating.

I usually braid overhand. Never knew that all it took was a subtle shift in hand position
Can you show this on short hair?
I like this video
Am still learning
Thanks pls can u do for braids
Do you just Dutch braid ?
How do I tie it so it doesn't come undone?
Where can I get the doll that you are using
Amazon!
This a tehnik like a dutch braidi ng?
I don’t understand. My hands won’t let me grab the opposite strand of hair. When I braid I always grab the middle first. I get confused trying to grab the opposite end piece first
Do what's comfortable 4 u I seen a lady do the middle 1st remember she said there's no wrong way of braiding hair
U grab the middle bit that pull in either side
Learning how to cornrow for my man😂
