Well my personal favorite part is when the professor raised his briefcase on top of its head as the umbrella against the rain right after he was taken from the middle of his class and chopped to the government intelligence center, like every spy movie

Imagine how interesting a concept this would be for a story if they were humans instead of snakes. An astronaut goes out on a deep space mission only to return ahead of schedule and while the world is both celebrating and questioning this return the higher ups learn that the astronaut is not the same person they sent into space. It looks the same but acts primal and speaks a language that is almost english but not quite. It would be crazy unnerving until you learn the twist that some alien just accidently killed the original astronaut due to negligence/ignorance.
I remember a movie with that exact plot.
So the ending to Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes, but with some tweaks?

I kind of thought it would be like if we sent an astronaut into space and got back a caveman. Might look human but they're gonna act like an animal.
Yeah seriously if he wanted to make it right he should have taken the body back and explain that they were traveling and an accident occurred, I really think when they got the flat it was the car smashing into the ship and the Snake astronaut bit morty out of anger and frustration that her ship was destroyed and chances of peace were ruined. Morty would even have the bite mark to prove that he’s not just making stuff up

spino zilla true, overall leaving the planet alone was honestly the best option and Rick actually was very right about it. The bite could have just been because she was a personally bad choice for first contact situations. Just saying that mortys plan was not only half baked it was stupid in its entirety. He left them with a primitive alien that only had more questions then answers and while it united the planet it was out of fear of the beyond, aliens who look like you but are more primal are not the best source of comfort in realizing your not alone. The other attempt would be a little bit more preferable cause at least it would be a failed gesture at honouring a brave soul who went beyond knowing the risks and at least give more answers and more room for better communication. And remember the animal translation helmet Rick built, morty is pretty well versed in “Rick tech” at this point he could probably cobble it back together in order to communicate with them

Complex is a long stretch considering that this is like... Cliche. I can't grasp around it But it use a lot of common tv tropes to create the feeling of familiarity
@@Soulxstar Yes, but that’s the point. The show knows that we know these tropes, so it has absolutely no actual dialogue, instead using tropes typically associated with a very specific type of movie. If this movie were translated into a real story, it would still work. It’s not “super complex” but it works. And that’s all good storytelling needs to do: work. From then, it starts to say something.

The story being used in a "stupid way" (that being a world full of sentient snakes that don't speak in a language we understand [which is actually quite smart for what the writers were trying to accomplish]) doesn't change the fact that the original story isn't complex, let alone "extremely complex".
The fact that they don't even use subtitles and force you to figure out what they're saying is what makes the whole scene work.
This was boring filler. Too long of the same joke. And this is what they wrote with the season being delayed...

MaximilElon Mus it actually is considering that you can still understand exactly what is happening without any spoken dialogue. That takes good visuals and commitment, not to mention the characters we are watching aren't even human so we can't rely on normal body language. It's not anything groundbreaking but you have to respect the work that was put into this skit.

I like how after Slippy grabs the professor the President is taken aback and looks to the other scientist and he hisses real quick. I can easily imagine the scientist snake just being like "Nice."
Imagine this from a human perspective, a female astronaut is replaced by some primitive woman who had the originals birthmark or something drawn on her by something else and behaving like a wild animal only to wind up banging a psychiatrist.

There was an Outer Limits episode in the 1960s penned by Harlan Ellison called "Soldier" where a futurist grunt is blasted through time into his past - 20th century America - and gets captured but nobody can understand what he's saying, so they bring in a linguists expert and inside of 30 seconds he realizes the future grunt is talking futuristic English slang.
Wasn't there also a movie about an astronaut who went to space, came back, then started acting alien? Because I'm seeing parallels between this parody, and that movie, which I can't remember the name of

Coming at this from an animator perspective, realistic snakes are extremely tricky to get right, particularly during the sex scene part. Amazing work by the animators and riggers here to make it look so effortless

You know, this is actually a really good example of "Show, Don't Tell." Since there's no way to understand the snakes' words, you have to infer what's going on through their actions.
God, I LOVE the details this show provides for repeat viewings. Name of the ship "S.S. SSSS" and how at 00:50 the roads and rivers are all wiggly like snakes.

In case people were wondering how this scene lead to the rest of the episode.
The Snakes knew it wasn't one of their kind, so they tried to communicate with it. In their planet they were divided because of racism, so they never bothered learning the language of other Snake races. Morty planting an Earth Snake into that planet kick started their efforts to learn each other's language AND creating multiracial/multispecies Snake hybrids thus ending racism. However, this started a new timeline where Snakes became intergalactic and eventually made peace with Humans and started making Snake-Human hybrids (like the one that tried to save Jerry on a plane) unfortunately the early peacetime leads to an technological advancement (and not nuking each other into the Dark Ages like Rick said) leading to the inception of Serpicorp (Skynet). From then on the plot of Terminator plays in with Morty as the stand in for John Connor.
I think it was more so that the snakes found out other snakes exist (aliens) and realized it came from earth. Earth snake (after being able to communicate) tells the snakes theres a much bigger threat out there than him; humans
So basically they were referencing Arrival :D (sorta).

My favorite part is how the snakes have their entirely own language and have developed exact snake analogues of our technology and society but they're also just snakes with no hands.
Think of how much more powerful these snakes are than we are?! They had to work so much harder, and more collectively I'd imagine, because they only have the one little nub as a manipulator!
