@@michaellake2184 Is this an example of Murphy's Law?

Send bail money to Los Angeles pd south central Broadway depot 😥
I hate him and his mailbox head.
Based Quinn
This show was ahead of it's time.
Ahead of what exactly? XD
I miss the fuck out of sealab 2021
Dr. Quinn is getting canceled for that line
How? The US is so far from Marxism that we hate the working class. We have people who legitimately say about me, my hard working southern family, and everyone that’s not behind a desk 24/7 “You guys should be paid half of what you make now because you’re lazy” as they work 2 jobs.
I’ve worked since I was a kid. A lot of people here have because it’s the norm. I have 2 jobs, own being my own business. I’ve only ever voted Republican, I’m patriotic, love my culture,, and am good to my people. To be called “anti-work” makes realize this country isn’t what I though it was.
@@AmericaThePridefullySimple clearly has something to do with the effects of sitting behind a desk. I mean, everybody who used to work with me on the highway used to say wow you're a really hard worker. You do double what we do sometimes. Yet all of my bosses who didn't do jack s*** except jack off in the corner all day... Would constantly say how lazy I am like everybody else. I think it just gets to the point where they've totally abandoned the idea of actually working and they don't know how difficult it is anymore. I mean I have literally seen people promoted to desks become like 300 lbs fatties sitting there talking about work productivity and how we can get more done... And it's like... If this person was to do what I do for like 2 hours they would probably have a heart attack. 😈
@@AmericaThePridefullySimple The country is not what you thought it was.
@@AmericaThePridefullySimplethe patriot flying the flag upside down. Nice try commie.
@@AmericaThePridefullySimpleI’ll take things that didn’t happen for $500, Alex.

This is an interesting redistribution of resources.
“Inevitably creating an oligarchy more oppressive to the proletariat than the bourgeoisie it vilifies.”
Yeah historically speaking you trade bankers, mass real estate owners and members of the military industrial complex for the inner party/intelligentsia, who inevitably abuse their power and become de facto bankers, mass real estate owners, and members of the military industrial complex
That happens whenever you allow centralized power. Communism only works without the state. The joke is playing upon fascist socialist oligarchy societies that claimed they were communist, as when people do not own the means of production and the fruit of their labor directly you don’t have communism. They are making fun of people who think communism is bad, not communism.
@@logiconlyzone Dr. Quinn specifically critiques Marxism and its history moreso than communism, if we want to be even more precise. I think even discarding revolutionary rheorhic, communism and mass production is bound to lead to oligarchy. Easy enough to live in a small commune where people are artisan crafters and agriculturalists, but at a point of production logistical management is bound to emerge, and the value of a middle manager is even more murky through the lens of communism than capitalism. Though the situation portrayed in show is more like a round of Space Station 13 than a serious allegorical critique of communism.
@@MakoProfessionalJerk So, Quin is just espousing rhetoric, where totalitarian is equated to communism just because it was branded in such a way, and the captain of sea lab is doing nothing but focusing on branding. Think about it. That’s why it’s funny. There is no reason why leadership can not be shared and decisions democratically determined, the idea of a single leader who is an “expert” is a myth, most people can be great leaders, and all people should take leadership roles.
@@logiconlyzone I only watched this clip, so you are probably more on point with the general theme/joke of the episode since you've seen it. But also, being Sealab 2021 the joke needn't be too deep, and perhaps can be reduced to the idea that Captain Murphy has gone off the deep-end, and Dr. Quinn's critique/analysis of the current situation with a blunt assessment saying as much was where he should have stopped. His elaboration and personal views on why marxism is flawed historically is immaterial towards the specific issue, and in the clip this aside he brings up towards his crew-mates only confuses them more, but I do agree with his aside. Also I wasn't really mentioning experts, so much as the idea that while I have seen communism succeed in small communities, logistical management emerges when those communities expand, and I think effective logistical management, a service that produces no tangible materials but is essential to their distribution and production, is inherently at odds with the creative ownership aspect of communism
@@MakoProfessionalJerk All fair. :) You know, no medium actually has meaning in a vacuum, we can connect the dots based upon our perception. Then, a piece of art actually holds multiple perceptional meanings, so the artist does not determine the meaning. Instead, the reader, viewer, whoever that consumes it actually determines it’s meaning, because the art is nothing without an observer that interprets. But of course, the artist can do the same as the observer of their own art. Yet, that does not mean that the interpretation of the artist is any more meaningful than other observers. All interpretations are valid.
Yessir! Great clip.
I always liked sealab 2021
And then you said communism was bad... And that you are bad too...
Favorite [adult swim] show ever!
Holy Crap this is what we are in now!😳
LOL. VERY TRUE.
Far right wing government controlled by corporations?
@@murphy1927 No you fool. Don’t you see that Joe Biden is a communist because uh… uh… there’s not enough spray cheese on the food market shelves!? I’m afraid to speak out because the secret police might take me away, that’s why I said this out loud on a public forum. /s
@@murphy1927 No, liberals.
@@Tigerman1138 these aren’t liberals though, they’re leftists
Why is the delivery and style so much like Frisky Dingo (2006-2008)? Also BASED!!!
Same studio, they also went on to do Archer
It also aired a full 6 years before Frisky Dingo. So it would be more accurate to say that Frisky Dingo's delivery and style is so much like Sealab 2021's.
Lol. They probably wouldn't show this today.
Not because of topic.... But because it's Seth macfarlane network now lol
Nah. Just because a lot of zoomers are marxists doesn't mean liberal, corporatist media is going to go against it's agenda.
They don't show any Sealab today. It's about ratings, not ideology. Rick and Morty and Fox reruns bring in the views.
100 million people can't be wrong!
300 million people have died of hunger in capitalist countries since the 70s, no real academic would reach the 100 million mark because that number is a lie made up for a book paid for by the CIA
They’d never have the balls to play Quinn’s line today.
Harry Goz was the best!
Would like to remind everyone on the political spectrum that it’s totally fine to find this episode funny
Especially since it’s a joke and not actually communism.
Documentary about California. Interesting.
I love Newspeak!
the explanation of what is happening at venezuela
In a way yes, in another way no. The definition of a communist society is a stateless society.
Venezuela is not a socialist country, the means of production are private and the communist party is persecuted
0:17 this used to be common knowledge people
This used to be a common lack of knowledge people. It’s a parody of the stereotype of communism. It’s a wacky cartoon. There is no state or dictator in a communist society.
It still is among those that read.
