I always thought Mr PBH was a fourth-wall-breaking meta-parasite in the minds of us, the audience. 1. He appears in the intro making you go "was this guy always there?" How many of us went back and watched previous intros because we doubted our own memories? 2. We only have good memories of him. 3. He can't be killed by the characters in the episode because he's in our minds, not theirs (also explains why he can watch the show with us). 4. Now he's a canonical character who we're all willing to accept has always been around. I honestly thought that was the whole point of the episode. Am I the only one who thought that? Something I have been thinking about for a while is that Mr Poopybutthole doesn't implant a good memory. They remember him having them trapped in an elevator. It is a different parasite who rescues them.

Good points, but you're forgetting one detail. In Gravity Falls "Weirdmageddon," we find out that Bill Cipher CAN'T leave Gravity Falls, unless Ford tells him the equation. This won't be possible for a while, because he's currently trapped in a deep corner of Stan's mind. Unless somehow after hundreds of years (because of the date on the postcard) he somehow is able to trick them and escape. He still doesn't know he equation though, so unless Stan leaves Gravity Falls, and then he escapes Stan's mind, I don't see how this could be possible.

The way I see it, Mr Poopy Buthole is a viewer of the show. He remembers being in all those opening scenes cause he watched the show frequently, and like many friends considered the cast family. He somehow gets into production and his character needs to be introduced, so they make the memory invaders episode, to take advantage of the new character to make the final gag of the episode. He got shot, so he cant work anymore on the show, but is still friends with the cast. Of course, the idea of him being one of the memory aliens is also very interesting, in which maybe helped him actually get into the show he loved, one day simply showing up and making everyone believe he was supposed to be there.

No it's stated there are a finite number of universes. Its why they can't just switch universes whenever they want. Because technically if infinite number of universes exist then they could always go to one that's exactly the same, but ONE MAJOR thing is different like no coke, or no dogs, etc.

So that means they can't just keep jumping from one universe to the next because each time they'll have to find universes farther from the central flow of their shared universe. Like Jessica being white throughout a lot, or how Morty usually always has a yellow shirt, etc. You'll just end up with totally different laws of physics and what not. It was explained that way by the creators so they couldn't just use it for plot convenience. Always why they don't touch time travel. It was never stated that the amount of universes in Rick and Morty were limited, but merely that they had a fixed amount of times where they could settle in another one. We have not received a conclusive explanation as to why, but it has been mentioned several times that the number of universes is indeed infinite. But since each variation of the universe will have its own similar versions, and they in turn will each have their own too going into infinity, the further we get from the original, the more different they will be. So it could simply be that a certain amount of similarities and identical traits must be present for Rick and Morty to live in a new universe.

Good points, but you're forgetting one detail. In Gravity Falls "Weirdmageddon," we find out that Bill Cipher CAN'T leave Gravity Falls, unless Ford tells him the equation. This won't be possible for a while, because he's currently trapped in a deep corner of Stan's mind. Unless somehow after hundreds of years (because of the date on the postcard) he somehow is able to trick them and escape. He still doesn't know he equation though, so unless Stan leaves Gravity Falls, and then he escapes Stan's mind, I don't see how this could be possible.

The way I see it, Mr Poopy Buthole is a viewer of the show. He remembers being in all those opening scenes cause he watched the show frequently, and like many friends considered the cast family. He somehow gets into production and his character needs to be introduced, so they make the memory invaders episode, to take advantage of the new character to make the final gag of the episode.
He got shot, so he cant work anymore on the show, but is still friends with the cast.
Of course, the idea of him being one of the memory aliens is also very interesting, in which maybe helped him actually get into the show he loved, one day simply showing up and making everyone believe he was supposed to be there.
Its almost a statement from Dan then saying that his viewers are not just his livelihood, but also an advanced form of parasite that is able to add itself into anything made and shown in front of itself!

@@Malthizar also, there is an episode were they talk about the central finite curve meaning there are technically "infinite" numbers of universes, but the farther you get away from the curve the more random it is. So that means they can't just keep jumping from one universe to the next because each time they'll have to find universes farther from the central flow of their shared universe. Like Jessica being white throughout a lot, or how Morty usually always has a yellow shirt, etc. You'll just end up with totally different laws of physics and what not. It was explained that way by the creators so they couldn't just use it for plot convenience. Always why they don't touch time travel. @@friedpickles3941 You are twisting the meaning of a phrase and going against what has already been established in the show. It was never stated that the amount of universes in Rick and Morty were limited, but merely that they had a fixed amount of times where they could settle in another one. We have not received a conclusive explanation as to why, but it has been mentioned several times that the number of universes is indeed infinite.
But since each variation of the universe will have its own similar versions, and they in turn will each have their own too going into infinity, the further we get from the original, the more different they will be. So it could simply be that a certain amount of similarities and identical traits must be present for Rick and Morty to live in a new universe.

Counter Theory: Mr. and Mrs. PBH didn't go through a spa session and thus didn't have to re-fuse with their toxic traits.
Evidence 1: The photos are from a single photo booth session, indicated because the photos are all connected on a strip that's narrower than the average photo in the scrap book.
Evidence 2: Even if Mr. PBH had used a Detoxifier, the Toxic traits could not have been photographed as those Toxic traits would have wound up in the holding tank.
Evidence 3: The change had to have been abrupt and in the real-world photo booth, because it took place between the first and second photos (an average of 5-10 seconds).
Conclusion: The photos showing Mr. and Mrs. PBH becoming Toxic were from when Toxic Rick transformed everyone on Earth into Toxic People with a hacky Toxicity Beam (Rick really does overthink things when he's angry).
