Hey! My name is Darryl Syms, and uh, well, I play guitar! I mean, I do a bunch of other cool things too - hopefully you can get to know me a little bit more through some of my videos.
On this channel, I predominantly post instructional videos to help inspire and encourage like-minded guitar players. My goal is to help you expand your musical vocabulary, to broaden your understanding of music, and to entertain. There are already thousands of guitar related videos out there, but I try to set my videos apart from the usual by exploring a modern approach, and by simply being myself! 💁♂️
Other than music, I have many other passions such as surfing, snowboarding, nutrition, advocating a vegan and sustainable lifestyle, yoga, photography, and a mixture of other things. Maybe you're interested in checking out my website: www.darrylsyms.com ✌️
I hope you enjoy what I have to offer, and I look forward to growing as a musician with you!

Dude, you've sold this to me after just the first two kits, the default one and the blues. I use Steven Slate Drums 5, and they're great, but the mixer options seem better and bleed options sound more natural to me than on SSD. I'll probably get SD3. I mean, I have leveled up my music composing, recording and mixing game.

My problem is not using SD3, it is how to get Cakewalk to recognize it. Not your fault and I don't want to sound like I am complaining to you. I appreciate how well you explain, and teach. Thanks.... I learned allot from this video about SD, but after you create a drum track how do you incorporate it into the Logic Pro X to create the rest of the song ? I have created some things I like allot on Logic Pro X. but I am far from knowing the program. and I want to buy an electronic drum set so I can play my own drum parts on the songs I write. so I am interested in Superior Drummer. but I am wondering how you incorporate the Superior Drummer in with the Logic. in this video you were just inside of superior drummer. but once you create a drum track. how do you then ad the rest of the instruments and parts that are in logic to it ? or how do you move your drum track into Logic ? thanks

Here to see if this is the tool for me to get some drums on my track on the go. But it worries me that after you made grid changes that you didn't play it back. My experience with both expensive and free open source products is that often you have to go in to each individual sound that you alter and edit out static sounds created when making changes. And because you didn't play it back after changing things in the grid editor i get a feeling that that's exactly the issue this software has as well. But there is just no way to be sure for me ???

Nope. Perhaps they will integrate it as it’s AI integration seems to be the hype. Though it’s controversial to use AI in art 🤷‍♂️ Do I want it? Eh, it could be fun to play with. I don’t speak on behalf of everyone though so do ping them your suggestion if it’s something you’re interested in 🙏

@@DarrylSyms hmm, it’s more to help speed up the creative process… not to just take over creativity. I used to use toontrack drum products religiously… since the onset of EZ. After years and years of producing inside the box, the biggest burn out is scouring menus. I went back to tracking real kits, software drums started just feeling more and more clinical.
There is a tap in option in superior, yes? Where as you tap in the beat that in your head and it compiles or narrows the search? Is there a full walkthrough video on sup3

@clemdog76 there is a tap function yes. The organisation of grooves in my opinion is very straight forward and easy to use. I love how they’re organised. I hate long lists of endless items, but Toontrack have done well with their organisation.
I don’t work for Toontrack, so I can’t point you in any other direction than their website or Google/UA-cam search unfortunately 👍
