Coming from a Lexus LC 500 I should have been disappointed with the RX500h f sport but I’m not. It doesn’t corner like an LC but everything else is spot on. It’s quick it’s comfortable, corners well in sport mode, has fantastic tech and is beautifully made.

I never should've sold it a few years back. Agree this RX 500 is pretty amazing and so easy to use. Thanks so much for the comment and thanks for watching I'm excited for you! Enjoy that RX!
Happy owner of a 2022 RX450h Fsport/Handling Package here. I love it but admit I'm intrigued by the power of the 2024. Who knows, if the 4 cylinder-turbo proves as reliable as the time tested V6, perhaps I'll upgrade in a couple of years. It's funny, you said nothing bothers you and then the car beeped at you for momentarily looking away. Got to admit, that would bother me. Lol... Im not buying one for my kids... can barely afford one for myself (but it was worth it).
The 450H is AWESOME!! Agree the new engine will have to be proven...They keep adding it to other models like the new TX, so Lexus seems to be convinced it's the answer. Yeah, the "look away" feature is a bit crazy...I need to see if I can quiet it up in the settings, but I don't think about it much anymore, just used to the prompt and make the adjustments subconsciously....maybe that was their intention?? My son is a pretty cool kid and actually more self-controlled and responsible than any adult I know...so I wanted him to have something awesome, may trade it for something else, but for now, he's a happy guy! Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching 👍
Super excited for you to get one! It’s a joy to drive daily. It adds an element to the RX that’s just been missing but I have to say that ES 350 that you have is pretty fantastic too! A VERY COMFORTABLE car! Thanks for watching 👍🏼
I am very tempted by a used on and then keep it for a decade.. the only concern is fitting three children where one is in a car seat too. Shame they do not do a longer 7 seater version.
Just bought one! We’ve had many Lincoln’s which seemed to get worse with each newer model (our 2008 was the best overall MKx we had). We are trading a 2023 Passport Elite, which was so disappointing. This care was truly impressive and I can’t wait to take delivery in a few days! Black, fully-loaded!
The black is going to be incredible. Is it the caviar metallic or solid black? I know you’re going to love your RX. Great decision such an easy and comfortable vehicle to drive. Are you getting a 500 H or one of the other RX trims?
How is the legroom? I’m 6”3’ and have the Acura MDX Type S. While I love the car, the gas mileage I seriously hate at this point. The hybrid version will work in my favor big time when I’m on the road to visit family every month (5 hour drive)
My Son is 6'3, and he always rides in the front passenger seat and says it is great, but since the driver's seat has all the controls, steering, etc., My other son is 6'1, drives it and loves it!..... I'm with you on long drives because the performance seats should be great, but, TOTALLY drive on and test all the seat adjustments first. 🙏🏼 Thanks for watching 👍
@@GabrielSedlakOfficial thank you for responding and your perspective. I’m ALWAYS in the driver seat, so knowing your sons are tall makes the RX more appealing. I plan to test drive the RX soon.
Yes, they are very comfortable for sure, but they are definitely more performance-oriented, they hold you in the seat. The RX 350 is more daily soft. I would like it if they mixed the SOFT of the 350 with the PERFORMANCE of the 500 seats, then it would be a 10... it's a 7.5 for the 500 and a 9 for the 350. I like the thigh extenders on the RX 350 Luxury, I wish the 500h had that in addition. But they are great seats anyway, and they don't fatigue you while driving a distance... They surprised me...WELL DONE LEXUS! Thanks for watching 👍
Not so much.... a small learning curve, then it's second nature. But it's definitely not Honda-level intuitive... 😊 Most cars have become more and more complex. I hope it goes the other way soon
I apologize if I missed this, but is this a 2024 or 2025? Thank you for your excellent video. We were thinking of buying the 350h but after your video, the 500h may be the better option!
I have this car in Caviar with red interior. I really enjoy the car but unfortunately whenever it rains hard the roof leaks extremely bad. It’s been in the shop over two weeks and it might soon be a buy back from Lexus.
NO WAY!! leaking roof!... that is unacceptable. Are they going to take it back or are you keeping it! LOVE the Caviar with red.... mean looking! Thanks for watching, and would love to hear what Lexus does for you with that issue.
@@Fearless-1drains were not the issue. They checked that. Replacing the pano roof now. I had water coming in over every seat but the rear passengers side. I think if the tubs were blocked it wouldn’t be that widespread. Also at the time it happened the car had less than 600 miles on it.
What is your average gas mileage? I wonder bc many have complained about underperformance there compared to the Lexus released official figures of 27/28
@@GabrielSedlakOfficial What are you talking about? I've been driving rx500h for almost one year. Average is over 28mpg on everyday commute, 10 miles one way busy highway. When taking easy on accelerator it's maximum 33mpg.
@@bobsum1745tbh, I’ve seen on Reddit and comments and long term reviews a lot of extremes. Some getting in the teens and some getting the claimed mpg. Trying to decide, but appreciate both of you gents’ input!
No, it doesn't have massaging seats. That would be a great thing I think because of the aggressive nature of them they just didn't fit it within it. The luxury version of the 350 was more likely to have that work. The only Lexus I know of that has massaging seats is the LS I even had several LX's over the years and they did not have massaging seats either.
@ No massage seats on $100 000 car is a deal breaker in my opinion. Lexus is competing with the German Luxury brands and it is indeed a great alternative. I personally love the exterior design and the mechanical reliability. But Lexus RX is a comfort oriented option as an SUV. And it is their top of the line SUV. Not having massaging seats is a significant omission and not really logical. And I am not saying this to make you feel bad. Since you buy so many Lexus vehicles they will listen to feedback from you.
Excellent review. Subscriber now. 👍🏻. Couple of questions come to mind before I test drive this. First, has this model been affected at all w all the e fine issue la Toyota has been having re the new tacomas? Metal frags in engine block. I think this is same engine no? How are the tires? I live in northeast so snow weather plays a part. I’m all for high performance tires on a fancy car I get it but how are these tires in the snow and realistically how’s the wear? Are these expensive tires to replace? I know not every car is perfect, but I’m also going to be looking at the BMW X5 in comparison. I’m really looking for what car is built. The best makes the most sense for me has long-term reliability and holds its value which I know for fact, the BMW depreciates Significantly the moment you drive it off the lot, but BMW has always been a much more fun car to drive however, however this car may take that away Great review again. Thanks
@@jamieb6049 I have a Porsche but I'm considering this vehicle. Cost of ownership is drastically different. Be ready to shell out lots of money for routine maintenance on a Porsche but that is pretty well-known these days, unless you are willing to do some things on your own. Can't go wrong either way but I would say Porsche/BMW are more performance oriented.
@@scratchpar1710 that’s why I keep going back to looking at the Lexus. I’ve had 3 Toyotas and a Honda in the past and they’ve all been great. My Sequoia that I drive currently is a 2016. The only problem I’ve ever had is three tire sensors needed to be replaced. It’s just bigger than I need now. It’s still staying in the family though. Anyway, looking at the depreciation of other luxury cars just takes some of the fun out of the other luxury cars. I guess I’m too practical lol
@@ajkavanaugh1977 yes, the cost of maintenance is another issue. Also where I live finding a good mechanic may be difficult and the closest dealership for Porsche is over an hour away.
I like your review. Thx! Question: dose this car have a start-stop function? Meaning when car stops the engine shut off? This is annoying feature and I hope the hybird could help on this.
Sorry for my delay... just read it, Yes but not like the common "start/stop". It just naturally gets quiet when it needs to and the electric takes over, normally where the engine is always starting from red lights or stop signs it's a far smoother process than on other vehicles, I can't stand the feeling of other cars when it does it. The electric side just takes over during those gaps it's virtually undetectable. Hope that helps Thanks for watching 👍
Great video, own one myself in black. The only two issues that annoy me are the lack of auditory feedback for lock/unlock and the ambient lighting. Because they swapped over to an electronic door latch system you can't hear when the door is locked or unlocked and I had my wife/kids, and friends get pretty annoyed thinking that I didn't unlock the doors after they pressed it the first time. And, without any auditory feedback on some of the switches, I now have to look at the buttons to make sure I pressed them correctly where as in previous generations as long as I heard a beep or click I knew I hit the right button. Regarding the ambient lighting, I get that they muted it down but I wish they still gave the option to crank the brightness up considering the high cost to install the lighting in the first place. Maybe i'm blind but in the summer I can't even see the ambient lighting and the rest of the season I would have to be driving in the pitch black to notice it.
LOVE it in Black! I need to see if there is a setting somewhere that can change it from the electric beep to an actual horn or another setting I think I had it set in our LX's over the years... Agree about the door lack of sound. One thing that the G-wagon had down that other manufacturers should add a bit of is that audible lock sound that assures whats happening... you can hear it 50 feet away 😁 I go like analog feedback for sure ( classic). Also agree that the ambient should ba adjustable. It's sure a great feel good feature! Almost got the Dark red interior, but my wife wasn't a fan. Appreciate you detailed comments! Thanks for watching 👍
Nice and well done video. I have the exact same vehicle. Same color exterior and interior with all the same option. I love everything about it except 2 things. The Mark Levinson system. I love ML in other Lexus but in the RX is just not very good. Also, I wish Lexus would have the "walk-away-lock".Those are the only 2 things I do not like about this car. Please let me know if you're agree.
Perfectly said! YES I totally agree..... The ML is great but there are MUCH better experiences in the LX and LS for sure! And the lack of sound in the locks are always a bit odd. Having had G wagons.... it has set a high bar that's almost impossible to beat, bad comparison I know but I SURE DO miss the lock sound! Lexus could up it just a bit. Other than that, HARD TO BEAT the RX! Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍
I need a new car but can’t part ways with my 20122 Benz ML 350. It’s such a fun car to drive, pretty powerful, but they don’t make cars the same anymore. Im thinking of a Lexus but still doesn’t convince me 🤦♀️
Have you had a chance to drive any of the new Lexus?? They are great! Even if you don't get one you get to experience how solid they are. LOVE Mercedes, I've had a bunch, can't go wrong there either. Thanks for watching 👍
For us, it seems to be around the high 30's... I need to test it out on a road trip and then do a video about it. I found this from Lexus: good info on how it all works Thanks for watching 👍 During light acceleration at low speeds, the vehicle is powered by the front electric motor and rear electric motor*. The gasoline engine is shut off. During normal driving, the vehicle is powered mainly by the gasoline engine. The gasoline engine also powers the generator to recharge the battery pack and to drive the motor. During full acceleration, such as climbing a hill, both the gasoline engine, the front electric motor and rear electric motor* power the vehicle. During deceleration, such as when braking, the vehicle regenerates kinetic energy from the front wheels to produce electricity that recharges the battery pack. While the vehicle is stopped, the gasoline engine, front electric motor and rear electric motor* are off, however the vehicle remains on and operational.
The EPA rates the 2024 Lexus RX 450H+ at 35 mpg combined when running on hybrid power and 83 MPGe when including electric driving.Oct 26, 2023 right, you dnt have the plug in any reason why you didn’t choose a plug-in/ hybrid
The HUD is NOT faint, your sunglasses are most likely polarized, and that gives you that result. It's not Lexus, you would not see any other brand's HUD with polarized glasses. Don't knock something until you have all the facts. Also you can adjust the HUD brightness in Setting on the main scree.
Yes it does but it's so subtle that you don't even notice it which is different.... the electric is so smooth mated to the engine they are both virtually silent and interchange seamlessly. Most hybrid are far more clunky...Lexus did a great job. Hope that helps? Thanks for watching 👍
My major gripe is that instrument cluster.I simply couldn't endure looking at it while around the steering wheel.Very disappointed that Lexus has incorporated it in this new RX and most of their new models.Wouldn't purchase any Lexus with it.
You should totally test drive one and put it on your vision board even if you got a preowned one. It’s going to be sought after… The RX is surprisingly fun to drive and comfortable. Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
No, I'm not a dealer.... 😵💫😁 It's just the 2010 LX 570 was the first nice vehicle we ever bought when we started having some success with our company. Our family got hooked on it, and we just kept on trading them in whenever new updates or body changes occurred because we loved the LX so much. We've traveled extensively across the country in them and all of our children were raised in LX's. We just thought it was time for a change to see how we liked the RX. Great so far! Thanks for watching! 👍
Hey, do me a favor I’m not sure I understand. What do you mean steering memory? Are you talking about an auto parking feature or the steering the assists you keeping and on the road while you’re driving?
The one thing that has me scratching my head is how lexus released this new gen rx but failed to address the rear doors that when opened, result in the rear tire being exposed. If you lean into the car or are not careful getting out, you will get tire dressing and/or tire grime all over your pants. One of the biggest engineering flaws i have ever seen.
If you end up going this direction it's a pretty fantastic car. One of the best things about it is how effortless it is to drive it maneuver it and park it. If this one's a little too pricey, the RX 350 luxury is incredible it's not as peppy, but it's more comfortable because the seats are much softer, either way, the RX is a great option. Thanks so much for the comment and thanks for watching👍

You didn't talk about the controls. Many reviewers say the controls are frustrating to use. Do you agree?
Not so much.... a small learning curve, then it's second nature. But it's definitely not Honda-level intuitive... 😊 Most cars have become more and more complex. I hope it goes the other way soon
I apologize if I missed this, but is this a 2024 or 2025? Thank you for your excellent video. We were thinking of buying the 350h but after your video, the 500h may be the better option!
Well done video. Thank you for providing an honest and authentic personal opinion.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the kind words 🙏🏼
The problem is usually a clogged water channel drain, pretty easy to diagnose and fix at home.
@@GabrielSedlakOfficialI found out yesterday they will replace the pano roof. We’ll see if that fixes it! I hope so 🤞
@@Fearless-1drains were not the issue. They checked that. Replacing the pano roof now. I had water coming in over every seat but the rear passengers side. I think if the tubs were blocked it wouldn’t be that widespread. Also at the time it happened the car had less than 600 miles on it.
@@pklemm1 hi, did you get the issue fixed in the end?
Wow this ford is a firebird! Nice baby raptor
Excellent review.
Really appreciate that! 🙏🏼
Thanks for watching👍
Oh bravo 👏🏿 review of the RX 500h am sold over the Volvo XC90 Hybrid.
Glad to hear it! You're going to love it! 🎉
What is your average gas mileage? I wonder bc many have complained about underperformance there compared to the Lexus released official figures of 27/28
It's more like 19-22.
On a long road, it is better. 😵💫
Been waiting for the GX 550 but it’s taking forever….BUT, I’m not keen on 13-17 mpg with the GX. Looking for an alternative and the RX seems doable….
The mileage is not the best for sure on the GX. Have you driven the new GX yet?
You didn't talk about the difference between 2023 vs 2024 which the title of this video.
Thanks for the clarity....meant to say 23/24 because they are almost exactly the same except for a slight price increase, and a couple small updates.
The 2023 RX500H has had some issues of dying and leaving owners stranded on the side of the road. Did they ever fix the problem?
Goodness!... I haven't heard of that....I'll look into it as well.
Thanks for the comment 👍
Great video just test drove one today,
lol and bought one caviar color 500 h other rims
The safety features include your insurance data about drivers habits and will base on your safe driving record
Do the F Sport seats have a massage function?
If they have is it good?
Since you buy so many Lexus vehicles they will listen to feedback from you.
thanks for such a thorough review! I'm waiting for the 2025 although not sure if we'll see any major changes.
I appreciate you watching, and congrats! Excited for you the 500H is wonderful!
0:59 That gap on the front fender / wheel well looks odd.
Great review!
Really appreciate that!

Thanks
I’m in the same boat. Looking at the BMW and Porsche. But research is telling me that this might be the car!
@@jamieb6049 My only hiccup with BMW having owned an X5 years ago, the depreciation on the X5 is deplorable
Also where I live finding a good mechanic may be difficult and the closest dealership for Porsche is over an hour away.
whats the range for fully ev mode?
Thank you for a great review. Just one question re transmission. Is it CVT or 6-8 speed transmisson.
Great question…
It’s a 6 speed with the hybrid… does a wonderful job and super smooth!
366 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
I like your review. Thx! Question: dose this car have a start-stop function? Meaning when car stops the engine shut off? This is annoying feature and I hope the hybird could help on this.
Sorry for my delay... just read it,
Yes but not like the common "start/stop".
Hope that helps
Thanks for watching 👍
Fantastic review... All the car you'll ever really need in the real world.....
Agree..... does everything great. Exactly Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍
I wish the camera didn’t move SO MUCH!! the movement and zooming almost gave me motion sickness. Other than that great review
I got the 2023 RX 350 platinum plus the only thing I don’t like about mine, It should be one color all white and I love white
I bet you LOVE IT! The 23 is Awesome, and proven!
Thanks for watching 👍
One thing that the G-wagon had down that other manufacturers should add a bit of is that audible lock sound that assures whats happening... you can hear it 50 feet away 😁
I go like analog feedback for sure ( classic). Also agree that the ambient should ba adjustable. It's sure a great feel good feature!
Almost got the Dark red interior, but my wife wasn't a fan.
Appreciate you detailed comments!
Thanks for watching 👍
couldn't agree more

Im with you on people not being able to use phones while driving
I know right! 😵💫
Love it‼️
Great job with sharing your vehicle 😊
Thank You‼️‼️‼️

No physical buttons for drive select?
You have me looking at 500h im still in a 2017 ls460. Hate that i only get 16 MPG. With this RX i can keep the 360 hp and get better mpg.
I think you'll REALLY enjoy driving it... Have you tested one yet?
I need a new car but can’t part ways with my 20122 Benz ML 350. It’s such a fun car to drive, pretty powerful, but they don’t make cars the same anymore. Im thinking of a Lexus but still doesn’t convince me 🤦♀️
Have you had a chance to drive any of the new Lexus?? They are great! Even if you don't get one you get to experience how solid they are. LOVE Mercedes, I've had a bunch, can't go wrong there either.
Thanks for watching 👍
Very nice Review Brother. Kool 👍🏼🖖🏼🙏🏼🔯
Thanks for the kind words!
It's a great vehicle 🚗 🚀

what’s mpg,
is it really 83 miles w/ hybrid?
For us, it seems to be around the high 30's...
I need to test it out on a road trip and then do a video about it.
I found this from Lexus: good info on how it all works
Thanks for watching 👍
During light acceleration at low speeds, the vehicle is powered by the front electric
motor and rear electric motor*. The gasoline engine is shut off.
During normal driving, the vehicle is powered mainly by the gasoline engine. The
gasoline engine also powers the generator to recharge the battery pack and to drive
the motor.
During full acceleration, such as climbing a hill, both the gasoline engine, the front
electric motor and rear electric motor* power the vehicle.
During deceleration, such as when braking, the vehicle regenerates kinetic energy
from the front wheels to produce electricity that recharges the battery pack.
While the vehicle is stopped, the gasoline engine, front electric motor and rear
electric motor* are off, however the vehicle remains on and operational.
The EPA rates the 2024 Lexus RX 450H+ at 35 mpg combined when running on hybrid power and 83 MPGe when including electric driving.Oct 26, 2023
right, you dnt have the plug in
any reason why you didn’t choose a plug-in/ hybrid
The HUD is NOT faint, your sunglasses are most likely polarized, and that gives you that result. It's not Lexus, you would not see any other brand's HUD with polarized glasses. Don't knock something until you have all the facts. Also you can adjust the HUD brightness in Setting on the main scree.
Does it have auto start stop feature?
Yes it does but it's so subtle that you don't even notice it which is different.... the electric is so smooth mated to the engine they are both virtually silent and interchange seamlessly. Most hybrid are far more clunky...Lexus did a great job.
Hope that helps?
Thanks for watching 👍
Video on iPhone was superior at 17:00
I need a truck like this. Small
My major gripe is that instrument cluster.I simply couldn't endure looking at it while around the steering wheel.Very disappointed that Lexus has incorporated it in this new RX and most of their new models.Wouldn't purchase any Lexus with it.
این ماشین مدل چه سالی هست؟
Seats are too squeezey for larger people
Agree they are definitely designed to hold you tight... My sons love them 18, & 15 LOL!
Thanks for watching 👍
I like to have one but it's beyond my paygrade right now.
You should totally test drive one and put it on your vision board even if you got a preowned one. It’s going to be sought after…
The RX is surprisingly fun to drive and comfortable.
Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
Somehow far LESS cargo space than a RAV4. Crazy.
Are you a Lexus dealer? Why did you have so many LXs 😭
No, I'm not a dealer.... 😵💫😁
It's just the 2010 LX 570 was the first nice vehicle we ever bought when we started having some success with our company.
Our family got hooked on it, and we just kept on trading them in whenever new updates or body changes occurred because we loved the LX so much.
We've traveled extensively across the country
in them and all of our children were raised in LX's. We just thought it was time for a change to see how we liked the RX. Great so far!
Thanks for watching! 👍
My mom likes lexus rx 350 2024 and Nissan muruno.
They are both wonderful cars!!
She has good taste 👍🏼
Does it have steering memory
Hey, do me a favor I’m not sure I understand. What do you mean steering memory? Are you talking about an auto parking feature or the steering the assists you keeping and on the road while you’re driving?
The color is whatever the wife says it is ;)🤣😂
The one thing that has me scratching my head is how lexus released this new gen rx but failed to address the rear doors that when opened, result in the rear tire being exposed. If you lean into the car or are not careful getting out, you will get tire dressing and/or tire grime all over your pants. One of the biggest engineering flaws i have ever seen.
Goodness! Yes, I need to check that out... totally makes sense, and definitely way too open to the tire... THANK YOU! and for the comment 👍
He said it was like a sewing machine😂
Never liked Lexus but this one looks really nice but also expensive.
What is it with your white cars !?!
Lexus has such beautiful colours in their range…….
I was part of a color theme for our business, which is over now. Excited to explore others!
Thanks for watching 👍
Yes its nice but the olny way I could afford 1 is if I won a lotto....thing cost as much as a house
Agree in a few years every car will be 100K, they keep climbing... this one is 68-72K
Thanks for watching 👍
Can you have vented and heat at the same time ? Suggestion Lexus ...no one else has that and it would be awesome
We tried and couldn't make it happen.... would be a great feature.
Thanks for watching 👍
These is the new Lexus I’ll be getting. Trading my BMW 2011 335i convertible. Only 38k mls on BMW., but I want something bigger for travel. I’m excited to get this new 2025 rx 500h. SOLD SOLD SOLD.❤❤❤
Congrats, you're going to love it! 🎉
Seems like the design team ran out of money and hence the design without proper exhausts
Sometimes, the most simple things are overlooked... 🤪
I have this car but you need to learn a lot before you drive this car. Safety is the first thing you need to learn. Dealership don't tell you all safety.
Agree It's definitely a car that needs to be learned, not just driven! 🙏🏼
looks like you like white vehicles :-) Very nice car !
Appreciate that! .... it does look like white is a pattern for us LOL!!
Thanks for watching! 👍
I really don’t need a car, or a government, telling me where to look.
I think ambient lighting overboard like in all the Germans looks stupid.
The ambient lighting can be overboard that’s for sure and when it’s super bright, it actually is distractive…
Great video quality on iPhone
THANK YOU! 👍
I miss the roar of the engine
Nothing like the ROAR!!! 🚀😎... agree!
I love lacroix and I know when I see a lacroix can 😂

I don’t like the mirror put on the door lock unlikely
It's a decent ride but not MDX ride
Hey, appreciate that it’s pretty awesome for sure, but hey, I cannot deny that that MDX is fantastic. I think Acura does an incredible job with that vehicle!
