I use this motor/esc combo for my kraton exb and its a monster. Never even thought about planting this set in a typhon 😜
Beautiful set up brother she's gonna be a beast 💪
to mod the esc mount I used an x-acto knife to shave that sliver off
I reckon basher. Typhon was always a basher. It's gonna fly with that motor. 👍👍👍
I changed the diff to 5k 7k 5k front center rear and it really made a difference on the track...it comes with 100k center so turning off power stinks
Cool ride
big like nr 17 my friend. Nice video 👏
Awesome stuff you’ve earned your sub from me
Anyone know what receiver that is?

Nice to see your build. I’m doing mine now. I’m thinking of putting the max8 esc in there though with the 2250kv motor. What do you think about that? Will never go above 6s. Mostly 4s. And I guess saving some weight could be good for the track. Another route would be the XR8 Plus and waterproofing with CorrosionX. But a bit scared if it would hold up in wet conditions. 🙂
If you want it more waterproof I would do the max 8 with non sensor 2250kv. The xr8 plus will be smoother and better throttle response because it is sensored. If your bashing and light racing sensored is not a big deal. I would also consider the max 6 for that motor as it will handle heat much better. If you have more questions give me a call at the shop. Thanks for watching.
No fan on the motor?
People don’t understand that racing is harder on a car then bashing.
Not a build by any means. I think it’s more like installing electronics to an rc that was assembled in the factory.
First thing you should do with any rtr or roller is completely dismantle the thing, if you don't, you often soon will😅
