I e always found the best shows always get better after season 1. I’ve enjoyed it so much better than most shows today-I know it’s a low bar comedy is awful now.

I ALMOST said it in this piece, but since Peri originally turned down being on the show, and then all of a sudden, she was coming back for an episode...and we now that we know that Roz is going to be in episode 9 or 10, I wonder if its setting up that she'll be in season 2, after they found season 1 wasn't really working. David Hyde Pierce was adamant he did not want to come back full-time, and it would be hard to write Jane Leeves back in without ending the marriage between Niles and Daphne, so Peri is the one to bring back...and I think there's still tons of story to tell with Roz. And I read one criticism of this revival that there was no one to call Frasier on his s**** or put him in his place like Roz would. We'll see.
if they all came back it would just be a continuation of Frasier, only decades later. Do we really need to see that? or know about that? With it ending the way it did, we all have in our minds how we think their lives had turned out. I am guessing this re-boot is supposed to be a different concept all together ???? maybe??? We were told Frasier was trying to get back with his estranged son???? I think?? Frasier wasn't a good father, well, I don't think he was, he lived clear across the country and hardly ever saw the boy.@@GraemeONeil
There was so much animosity between Frasier and Lilith in this episode that they didn't have in Frasier 1.0. In the OG Frasier, he always said things behind Lilith's back and to her face he was civil. Lilith had these kind of barbs and slights with Niles at times. I watched the last episode of the OG Frasier with Lilth and they were in a beautiful cordial place. They even fell asleep on the couch together, and nothing happened. So for them to hate each other after all these years, especially for two psychiatrists. They know what an effect it can have on their son. They would have resolved their issues or kept it to themselves and gone to therapy. And then start kissing each other seems so out of place. It's like the writers forgot the original series, or don't care. They'll do anything they can to get a cheap laugh. Gone is the wit, clever dialogue and heart the old show had. I only watch because it's Frasier. If he weren't in it, I would watch. People say give it a chance. I did like Ep 7 Blind Date, but it's the only I've liked so far. The OG Frasier came off of Cheers and by Ep 3, the Timber Mill episode, it kept me coming back for more. I didn't have to try to like it or give it a chance. Give people credit that they know what they like. But I'm glad others are enjoying the show, and it's reaching success. A

When we first see Lilith in this episode and the barbs at each other start, it's almost as if they were doing it because it was expected. After watching the eighth episode, I find myself enjoying the interaction between Freddy and David most. David looks up to his cousin, and Freddy helps ground David a bit.
Lilith RULES. The rest of the revival looks awful - but she made this episode terrific. I'd rather watch a new show "Lilith!" She is also doing great work on "Julia" season 2 right now.
Lillith was always a treat to see. I think by her not being a regular on the Frasier show, that when she was on, it really was a treat. I love every episode that Lillith was on. She was my favorite character. Frasier was my least favorite character. Seasons 1-3 when he had that long curly hair in back while balding on top, (I know he can't help balding) he looked horrible, plus the fact, JMO I don't think Kelsey Grammer is a nice looking man anyway, I think he is funny looking. He has a horrible funny looking shape mouth. I'm shallow, I know....
I just don’t find any of it funny, I am old frasier’s biggest fan, the original Frasier was v witty, classy, cryptic and the comedy timing was unbelievable. This time it’s slapstick and very childish like “comedy” which is not at all comedy. So sad for Kelsey. All the other actors are absolute garbage.

I loved it! The writing has been passable....I've always been a huge fan...but in part because of the writing. Some of it feels so forced....especially Nile's son (Anders Keith) and Olivia (Toks Olagundoye)....hopefully there will be some changes going forward. But yes....nice to see Lilith back!
People can't live in the past...I was young and single in the orig Cheers and Frasier...as were most of them...now we are all older and wiser w a different story line...i love it😊and all the new characters and would love to see some cameos... But not a bunch of old people on the make or sitting around a bar...old people constantly in a bar is just sad...frasier 1 tried to bring back some of the orig cast which seemed out of their element...but then frazier progressed to a coffee shop and drinking at home...now w everyone considerably older...all the alcohol and sexing would seem creepy...so yeah...continue on ... its great and cameo some Frasier 1 but be careful on cameos of Cheers...not slamming the characters either because back in thr day each was absolutely mg fave show...but we all get old😢😂😅😮❤❤
The people behind the reboot don't seem to understand the original Frasier and Cheers characters. The new characters are one-dimensional and built on tired stereotypes. Not every citizen of and around the Boston area is a huge Sox and Bruins fan. They mispronounced Mattapan twice in one of the episodes. There is no attention to detail. The guy who plays his son is unlikable, as is his female roommate. The David character is painful to watch and listen to. Kelsey is the only consistently good thing about this show.
I have a long history with Frasier Crane.I watched "Cheers" and then the re-runs again...I watched EVERY episode of "Frasier" (Frasier in Seattle was the best) and now,I'm trying to get into "Frasier" in Boston.I think,the show is okay,but they're missing some chemistry...(No,I'm not giving up on Frasier..."Seattle" with Niles Crane,Daphne Moon and Martin Crane was too good,to be giving up on "Frasier",after a few episodes. He will come around....
what i want to know is what's David doing there hes not even part of the show anymore didnt want to do it for some ridiculous reason...seriously you would think that after all theve been through you would think he would help out his friend one last time its not like he's doing much same with Jane leeves 🤔🤔
I remember watching Cheers with my parents (the ONLY show my Dad watched growing up) and then Frasier was on, but only as background noise growing into my teens and beyond. This series is enjoyable to me, despite having missed paying attention to the Frasier in the middle. I like it.
I have been a huge fan of the original show, the reboot proves you cannot recreate the past. The constant witty, sharp, humour is missing from the reboot. Also watching Frasier and Lilith thirty odd years later, is a reminder of how old we have all become. I will keep watching, just to see if the show evolves.

Yes, this is what we will do. Not funny, and just to get a way to have them all under the same roof.
The new Frazier was a DISASTER until Lilith appeared in Episode 7. So far it looks like a very sad legacy for Kelsey Grammer. He's in Boston now, where he HELL are Sam, Cliff, Norm, Woody and Carla? GET ON IT!! (And LOSE the brain-dead nephew, he's a MASSIVE source of cringes and ZERO laughs).
Omg!! Is everyone watching the same show?? My husband and I have laughed constantly through every episode so far and think the writing has been really great. For a reboot l think it’s been very well done through most every episode. I think people are just so used to the original cast members that they aren’t making room to get to know the newbies for themselves. Most people do not like change! I hope there will be a season 2!

It’s had its ups and downs I’ll give you that . Star Trek the next generation didn’t find its footing until season 3. I would say give it time.
