M365 beside Mechanical Disk brake has regen braking as well. When you realise the throttle regen brake kicks in. You can set it to low-medium or strong, also when you press the brake just slighty strong regen brake kicks in and slow the scooter down, if you press the brake farther more then Mechanical disk brake get's activated. So you don't actually need to use mechanicall disk brake at all only in emergency situations. Also M365 has upgradeable Firmware and latest one from Xiaomi unlock 720W peak power. Theere is also hack verison of Firmware that gives 1000W of power. Not to mention that M365 app has tons of useful information about the battery, temps, battery state, capacity, cells pack individual voltages, Electric lock, Range...
@mPky1 It doesn't have a motor that's been "rated!"to 1000w. A motor doesn't necessarily have a specific power it can handle. Its just they rate a motor to what it can handle in all environments without overheating in say a hot desert etc. So generally speaking most electric motors are well under rated in order for the manufacturers to protect themselves legally, so that they will absolutely not fail in all environments. My ebike for example has a motor that's rated to 3000w, I am running 10,000 watts through it normally, and 14,000 watts in boost mode. Most motors handle well over there rated power. Saying it cant go to 1000w of power, because it doesn't have a 1000w motor is like saying, your car cant physically go above 70 mph because the legal speed limit on highways is 70 mph.
Why were doing the acceleration test for the Segway with the additional battery installed? You've already stated this improves acceleration, but it increases the cost by another $250 so not very helpful.
@Vrig Then go ahead and pay $400, $500, $600+ for a scooter while I can get a Swagtron for $299. Bottom line it's about cost for me, I'm not petty or vain when it comes to it's name.
NPC #34254334 Response: is swagtron swagger five is terrible and over priced. I bought it twice and it can ebroken both times, terrible acceleration, the battery life is AWFUL I went three miles and then ran out of battery. It’s trash

Dan Smethurst it depend on your weight, I am 70 my 🛴 is limit for 110 but still can’t pull much and most importantly before start to go up you have run on good speed else it can’t pull up.
It's pretty amazing how much this has changed within 7 months for pricing. So I don't know if the relative price changes hold, and vs. newer models, but I just ordered the Gotrax GXL V2 for Amazon's $298.

Your rear brake pedal is an innovative way to reduce the complexity of your scooter, and an elegant way to make sure the rider has weight on the rear foot during hard braking. But scooters that fold the frame make me nervous, and I expect that folding mechanism to become a maintenance headache with wear and age.
@@murdelabop It not a problem at all (folds perfectly), I had my gotrax gxl for over 3 months now, and any issues they send me replacement parts for example the tire tube or rear fender I got free replacement from Gotrax when I reported issue, but I ride that shit like crazy, it is heavy duty for sure and fast as hell

Guys never waste the battery to low, because its a risk to losing range and it can stop working like it happened to me, I have a swagtron swagger5 and I was killing the battery let it go to low and it stop working, please don't let the battery go to low it will stop working.Btw the swagtron swagger5 is faster then the Segway swagtron swagger5 goes with me 19 to 20mph. And the gxl goes 18mph
I've owned the ES2 for 5 months on hardcore usage in NY for commute purpose. And so far the only issue I found is the front led light when is on the speed drops significantly to almost walking-mode. Then I found out it's the body controller that needs to be replaced which I won't bother doing so but installing a new usb flashing light instead. I also bought the extra battery and can't wait for it!
I use mine on the bike path down west side hwy. Upgraded battery so it’s an ES4 now. HUGE difference in power output. Range almost doubled. Wish it had a horn because people don’t understand the speed you’re carrying.
Louis Mayo partly legal and not. So far I haven’t been stopped and even ride past the cops without an helmet and they don’t do anything just looking with curiosity. The magic is ride responsibly and follow the traffic signs stop whenever needs to be stopped and youll be fine. I always use it commute to work from Queens to Manhattan, take the queensboro bridge.
Arslan Akhtar That’s so cool! Actually my scooter died in the middle of the road after upgrading it with the battery. I admit it was my fault because I bought a used battery off eBay for $110 apparently my scooter couldn’t handle its voltage or was defective. Now I bought the ES4 for $649 through the ninebot.us website they’re running a Black Friday sale :)
Swagtron 5 is priced at $230.00 on EBay deals with free shipping. Total was $250 with Tax (NYC). It came by ups today after ordering just 3 days ago. It’s brand new in box with warranty direct from Swagtron. Still more available as of today.
I'd been using the ES1 and ES2 for four months both with extra batteries. My experience is that whether you have or haven't got brake it makes no difference, because this is not like a car where you have a safety belt getting you strapped to your seat, if you brake hard on this your scooter will brake but you will continue to fly forward.
'Break' is too fancy a term for it. It merely causes friction between the mudguard and the rear tyre - that's OK for kids push scooters but really not a serious solution for a faster moving machine.
I just bought a GoTrax and it actually reaches 20 MPH in second gear. The motor is a little bit loud, but can climb streets of San Francisco easily. It also rides very comfortable. I used the Ninebot before and you feel SO much bumps ta feels like the scooter will brake, plus the maximum speed I got was 16 MPH. In summary, for me the GoTrax is the best cost x benefit.
@@gaberamirez1203 It worked well for quite sometime. I have to mention though that I had a strange issue with the charger where it short circuited and damaged the charging port. Contacted GoTrax's customer support and they shipped a new charger and charging port at no cost. Couple of months later the plastic fender over the rear tire broke, which unable me to proper fold it. I also had a flat tire so I highly recommend getting those honeycombs-type of tires.
Have you tested the durability and longevity of the folding mechanisms? So far the thing I like best about the M365 is that its folding mechanism only folds the stem, and not the frame. Those mechanisms that fold the frame worry me.
It is legal to drive (yes drive) over a zebra crossing right? Cause last time i did it a woman went sicko mode and flipped me off like heck i didnt Even do anything wrong! I just wanted for my time to drive over (wich was when the cars stopped for me) and went over and then she just yelled at me.
Those are nice and cheap scooters, but I want to know how long they can hold before needing a complete checkup or before breaking. I have an INMOTION Lively and I just brought it to a mecanician for a check up after 3 years of perfect and secure usage.
So, what is the max body weight for each? I am not a small guy but need to get a commute scooter after having a seizure and losing my driver's license for now. Has the Swager 5 improved it's range and battery ever since? It would also be helpful to see if any can be placed into a shoulder carry bag for when you have to get off and on a bus ..
Your testing of the segway is incorrect. With the extra battery it is the ES4. Your braking and speed tests were done as the ES4 even though you call it the es2.
@Mister Lee.F: this is true, you are correct that in the acceleration/brake test it is the ES4 (the es2 + battery). We will add a correction in the description!
M365 owner here, You can unlock 800watt mode with an app called m365 freedom. that will give you about 3 times the power that it comes with as long as It was made after January 1018. I have been using that mod since day 1 as the scooter was basically useless to a 230lb dude in Hawaii with hills everywhere. With the mod, It's just okay "for the price its great!" 40%"ish" inclines I still have to push it while full throttle. Less than that I can zig-zag up a 35%... oh range is trash modded with crazy hills I think 3 miles maybe 5 never ran it down all the way. but you can get battery expansion packs. I don't really have an issue with the range or charge times for my use as a coffee or corner store run.
what about the kugoo s1 pro? isn´t it better than at least 2 of the scooters in this video? I really need to know because I am thinking to buy one. Thanks! great channel
U forgot one small thing about the es2 - it may be the worst at braking, but it technically doesnt count as braking cuz when you "brake" it enables the friction charger therefore charging ur battery a lil bit while braking
I'm debating between getting the ninebot ES2 and kick scooter max. Aside from cost, how would both be comparable, in terms of durability and efficiency? I can buy an external battery for both models, right?
I just bought an electric scooter on Ebay. I bought it for both recreation and shopping as I needed a unit that could take a combined weight of 100 Kgs so I could also haul supermarket shopping. As batteries improve these vehicles will find more and more applications.
M365 for 600usd? Where? I bought it last week for less then 450usd. If it was 600 it might not have been my first choice, but at this price for me it is the best out of the 4.
I bought on TomTop.com. Ordered on a Sunday night and arrived at my door on Friday. They have a wearhouse in Germany so to Belgium it goes pretty quick. In GearBest you also find it at lower prices, but usually takes longer (a month or so) at least to where I live.
Nice review. Though, In the acceleration show-down, it is actually a Segway Ninebot ES4 performing. The ES4 is the ES2 with extra battery. Should be mentioned I think?
I feel the swagtron swagger 5 is a very hard ride over the littlest bumps. It makes a loud noise when hitting bumps. They should definitely add a small shock to the rear.
it is not clear if the test results for the segway are for base version or the version with the extra battery! Imo it is for the latter which makes the segway really expensive.
that ES4 was on amazon prime for $777 and then was sold out the next day! haha... prices on these things have been rising since march..... popularity is increasing and man..... makes sense. They are fun and very useful.
Interesting, I live in Czech Republic in Europe and few months ago the price went down from 655$ to 480$ including taxes. The Segway ES2 costs 700$ plus 200 for the additional battery. Try to save some money by it, when normal car consumption here is 40 MPG... Tires for car is 50$ each and you can go 20 000 miles on it. The scooters wouldn't go 1000 miles on one tires and each costs 40$ here.... Why are the scooters so expensive?
The ones by Ninebot is like the newer versions of Xiaomi. Both Xiaomi and Ninebot are manufactured by the same company (Ninebot, which is owned by Xiaomi and Sequoia Capital) and the Ninebot scooters are released one year after the Xiaomi.
I have tried segway ES1 and gotrax xr ultra. ES1 has better acceleration with a top speed of 20 km/hr on sports speed mode and range cover almost 20 km (if you ride 10-15 km/hour). Due to rubber-made tires ( mortar is at front tire and tires are smaller in size compare to XR ultra), you will extremely experience shock and bumpy. I wouldn't recommend it if you use it on the sidewalk. If it's a plain road, you will love it. This scooter has a Bluetooth lock system which is quite impressive. On the other hand, XR ultra gives a smooth ride even on the sidewalk but due to slow speed which is 15 km/hour max, you will be bored. It covers the same range as ES1. The choice is yours to make if you really need a scooter at a low price. I would suggest expending few extra bucks for range, speed, and smooth ride and buy an upgrade scooter. All the best
I got my Mijia m365 directly in a official Mi Store here in Madrid for 379€ with two-year warranty. Something the video doesn't mention is that you can easily unlimit the speed of this Xiaomi scooter by an android app and get a top speed of 30km/h and a significant better acceleration, being able to scale hills with no problem. Unfortunately battery range decreases a few kilometres, but still I have enough for 20 to 25km
How does someone contact you to do a review as there are better quality scooters out there in the market and would like to have you review one of them.
A very important question 💡 Please answer it I am waiting 👌 When the battery runs out, is it possible to use leg to push it like non electric scooters? Or the engine gets locked? ⁉⁉⁉⁉ ✔
بنده خدا most of these bikes are pedal assist which means that you have to pedal a little bit before the engine kicks in. So yes they’ll work with kicking after the engine stops and won’t have an engine lock.
Moe Kro That scooter uses arguably the highest quality cells out of any scooter out there so the battery won’t degrade nearly as quickly, uses an e-brake, and the tires are pretty straightforward. I’d say it’s arguably one of the lowest maintenance units o the market (Glion Dolly). It’s pretty slow and is useful only as a last mile solution.
I got the “Voyager ION” Electric scooter for Christmas tell me if it’s a good one has brake lights and everywhere it has different speeds the max speed is 15mph tell me if it’s good or no thanks!
Hello there, I saw the location that you record is in Boston. So I want to ask about which E-Scooters I should get. I commute from Allston to downtown Boston. Thank you!
All of them have some problems, with time will be released better ones, but I think for now I'll buy the es4 ninebot because of the range... But the zoom look cool as well, light and small board with good specs...
It was not bias. But it was nothing at all. They tried to be friends with everybody, and criticize as little as possible. Maybe it is really that way. But I noticed that build quality, and material feel was not mentioned. Furthermore, the extra battery on the Segway ES2 is horrible on the dynamic of the scooter, which is already not that great, as batteries on the bar are not a great solution.
I'd love to see torque info or a hill test. I have an M365 and it is great but it does slow down quite a bit going up hills. Hopefully they will bring out a version 2 that has more torque.

I bought on TomTop.com. Ordered on a Sunday night and arrived at my door on Friday. They have a wearhouse in Germany so to Belgium it goes pretty quick. In GearBest you also find it at lower prices, but usually takes longer (a month or so) at least to where I live.
$650 for a Xiaomi is a scam, their official Amazon page had it at $500 and you can often find them for $450
Why you Put segway’s app?
Nice review. Though, In the acceleration show-down, it is actually a Segway Ninebot ES4 performing. The ES4 is the ES2 with extra battery. Should be mentioned I think?
Wat about Jetson Pro Element. On the fence about it
Also available in 2018 was the Swiss micro scooters Falcon, Eagle and Condor. The Falcon is only 7.5 kg whch is quite light with regen breaking
What’s the app?
I hate having to convert speeds and distance. I'm sure not just Americans watch your videos
Miss Clark Americans? What does that have to do, lady lmao
Miss Clark smh 🤦♂️ either way i don’t think the videos was for north Korea (example) or some shit lol
@@adanmendoza5360 You are one stupid human lol, he means that the youtuber uses miles and pounds (stupid american measure system).
@@adanmendoza5360 Where are you from?
On behalf of Americans, I vouch that we get it, and we're kinda sorry about the weird measurement system. :/
What is the app for the xiaomi
Hi which scooter is good and would do about 4o miles on one charge anyone know
a pretty heavy one. 40 miles is not a hard range to get.
I feel the swagtron swagger 5 is a very hard ride over the littlest bumps. It makes a loud noise when hitting bumps. They should definitely add a small shock to the rear.

I have a gotrax gxl and it does have cruise control... you have to hold throttle down for 10 seconds
Why is there no Zoom Stryder in any of those reviews?
The review I've been waiting for!
Is it available in India?
I can cotrol by app gotrax GXL please tell me
I’m thinking about getting a Ninebot to ride from the train to my job in Amsterdam. But is it reliable in the rain??
Je kan gewoon rijden door de regen
On Amazon the es2 is 589 on amazon
it is not clear if the test results for the segway are for base version or the version with the extra battery! Imo it is for the latter which makes the segway really expensive.
For the tests it is with the extra battery, the Segway ES4
Can you make a video of the best for scooters for shoplifting please
The segway ninebot was es4 as u used the extra battery…
that ES4 was on amazon prime for $777 and then was sold out the next day! haha... prices on these things have been rising since march..... popularity is increasing and man..... makes sense. They are fun and very useful.
Yes we noticed the prices going up and also can be out of stock. Will probably get worst as the holidays get closer....
Any reviews on the Levy electric scooter? similar to the models you have here but with a swappable battery pack and 20mph top speed
Looks like an upgrade over m365 in terms of specs for a similar price
Is it available in India
Hmm, do you expect some newer version, improvement or lower price until next summer ? For example Xiaomi is doing this scooter since 2016
Yes we expect new versions coming out before next summer. We will be reviewing them as they are released!
Xiaomi use to cost $250-350 and now cost double due to increase exposure of electric scooters.
How much price please
Great info! Used this video as well as others to help me decide on which scooter was right for me.
The gxl battery meter fluctuates
I don't need anything super fancy with digital things and what not. I have 250 bucks what would you recommend?
For an extra 50 bucks at 299 get a GoTrax GXL.
How do these do off-road? More specifically gravel trails?
Mine is good on gravel and grass
I got my Mijia m365 directly in a official Mi Store here in Madrid for 379€ with two-year warranty. Something the video doesn't mention is that you can easily unlimit the speed of this Xiaomi scooter by an android app and get a top speed of 30km/h and a significant better acceleration, being able to scale hills with no problem. Unfortunately battery range decreases a few kilometres, but still I have enough for 20 to 25km
How much price
How does someone contact you to do a review as there are better quality scooters out there in the market and would like to have you review one of them.
Our email can be found in the contact section. Happy to discuss!
A very important question 💡
Please answer it I am waiting 👌
When the battery runs out, is it possible to use leg to push it like non electric scooters?
Or the engine gets locked?
⁉⁉⁉⁉
✔
بنده خدا most of these bikes are pedal assist which means that you have to pedal a little bit before the engine kicks in. So yes they’ll work with kicking after the engine stops and won’t have an engine lock.
Which scooter requires the least maintenance? Honestly, I think I’ll just go for whichever has.
Good question. It would be the Segway ES2 since it has solid tires (doesn’t get flat tires) and no disc brakes.
Glion Dolly would be a good choice for a low maintenance scooter.
themystx2 Really? I heard that scooter was very nice. Isn’t it true that parts and repairs are difficult?
Moe Kro That scooter uses arguably the highest quality cells out of any scooter out there so the battery won’t degrade nearly as quickly, uses an e-brake, and the tires are pretty straightforward. I’d say it’s arguably one of the lowest maintenance units o the market (Glion Dolly). It’s pretty slow and is useful only as a last mile solution.
But solid tyres wear out once also
I got the “Voyager ION” Electric scooter for Christmas tell me if it’s a good one has brake lights and everywhere it has different speeds the max speed is 15mph tell me if it’s good or no thanks!
What about durability?
What’s the app
we are one step closer from inventing floating couch that can move us from place to place!

Hello there, I saw the location that you record is in Boston. So I want to ask about which E-Scooters I should get. I commute from Allston to downtown Boston. Thank you!
OLÁ ALGUÉM PODE RESPONDE ?
ESSE PATINETE SOBE LADEIRA?
All of them have some problems, with time will be released better ones, but I think for now I'll buy the es4 ninebot because of the range... But the zoom look cool as well, light and small board with good specs...
I like the non bias approach of the review of these scooters. Need a better cut or countdown between each scooter.
You can instalate firmware for more power
