Really loved this! Can't wait for your entire AC2 playthrough! Btw Meg, have you ever thought about reacting to the Kung Fu Panda trilogy? It's a franchise full of beautiful characters, intriguing villains, deep messages and a huge amount of meaning, and the animation is astounding. I think you would like it a lot!
Galleazo Sforza's murder in this short are based on historical incident in the church later on known as Lampugnani Conspiracy. AC1 treats history as a backdrop setting. In AC2 history is part of the main show.
11:01, as a martial artist of 19 years, and having a mother, sister, two cousins, an aunt and a godmother who are not only nurses but RNs (I practically grew up in a medical convention) I'm pretty sure you can't break a man's neck like that.
if im not wrong the movie ends in the same night AC2 begins, thats how giovanni knew of "this little visit to cristina" ezio did and federicco was already home because after the race he went there
Played all the AC games in order and i loved them all, but i will watch it again with you, already liked you AC1 playthrough, and now AC2, i'm excited for you to experience it all.
14:40 "I gotta get me a full outfit like this 'yall". Oh trust me, every single one of us thought the very same thing hahaha. In fact, I'm currently trying to customize my own contemporary assassin garb out of a sleek-looking white jacket. It'll take a while, but it's a fun process.
I love your reactions to this series because im so invested myself its nice to see someone else be invested. This and Bloodlines i had never seen myself so it was cool to see
Hey meg, if you're interested in knowing how this short movie was made there's a 15 minute making of on youtube, one of the things they said is that they got the enviroments directly from the game engine and then upped the resolution on the textures and geometry while the actors are the same people that got scanned and put in the game(except ezio which in the game is a completely original face), they explain it more in detail in that so i recommend checking it out.
Hi Meg! Just so you know there's another Ezio short film (Embers) that takes place after Revelations, and it's well worth a watch. It's animated, and you can really only find it on UA-cam anymore, but it's really well done and closes out Ezio's story. You don't have to watch it if you don't want to but I figured I'd let you know about it all the same! It would be well worth a watch after your playthrough of Revelations.
Usually I'm very careful of anything with too much bloating, but there are some good game/animated series that go against the "norm" and have important/interesting in-between content that doesn't feel like a filler, and actually helps to expand our understanding of the plot at large when you think back on it. This is definitely one of those times. Thanks for giving this a chance.
Without spoiling anything, history regards the names Medici and Borgia with importance and that will be relevant. Have a care researching, it may spoil stuff before it happens in game. As for other period related content, there is the Showtime series The Borgias. Beyond that, I confess having my own knowledge gaps. Enjoy the shows.
Why are so many of you insistent on giving information to her that she doesnt need? Just enjoy the playthrough. You are essentially spoiling things. Let her discover things naturally the way you or I did when the games were released one by one.
@@mattperiolat Why is it that every single person that spoils things, gets called out for spoiling, and then say it isnt a spoiler lol you guys need to learn what a spoiler is. idk if it was a good idea to react to this before finishing AC2. I mean, all you knew before watching this is that Giovanni was a banker lol But whatever it spoils it's nothing really THAT big. You will just lose a bit of the mistery since lineage reveals a lot of plots that you find out during the game since Ezio is kept in the blank for a while. It was fun to watch it again nonetheless.
@@laddanerskit3199 Bruh its like 90% of the story when ezio finally puts 2 and 2 together and knows whats really up and who are the real enemies. Lineage just shoves them on your face.

i understand that many of you have very strong feelings about whether or not meg should have watched this after finished ac2 or before. however let's remmeber that we are along for the ride on her journey in what we all reconize is a great series. so instead of arguing on what is the "right" order to do things let us enjoy this series all over again with her as she experiences everything the assassin's creed series has to offer. which alot of you will agree there is alot of amazing things awaiting meg as she goes through this journey. so let's relax & enjoy.
100% agreed. So many are too eager to give her information or tell her what to do. She should experience the games the same way we did as they were releasing.
This was AC man...the amount of love and dedication to perfect itself...was Incredible. And something that made this film so special. The only thing I have I. Doubt is...why didn't Giovanni use his assassin skill to save himself and Federico and Petruccio.
If you’re looking for a show with a very similar vibe, you should check out “DaVinci’s Demons”. It takes place at the same time and locations as AC2, very much an action/adventure with Leonardo as the protagonist. Warning: it was on Starz, so there is tons of nudity.
I think the reason the assassins creed film failed is because the lore is too big for film. If they sent this to Amazon prime or HBO max then assassins creed would work amazingly as a tv series. The Ezio trilogy alone would be at least 8-9 seasons. You can't cram so much to fit in 90 minutes or 120 minutes.
Im starting to think this playthrough wouldve been better live on twitch so mods could at least delete the backseating and spoilers.. People just cannot help themselves in YT comments. Hello Megmond and welcome to AC Lineage. First of all it's really a Shame and I apologize for not commenting on your Reaction Channel that much until now but most of the Time I just watch the Videos and forget to write anything. But I love your Reactions and I'm always happy when a new Video comes up ❤❤❤ Now I don't want to say too much about AC Lineage (others will do that 😁 ) but I'm glad that you watched the Film now. Well I wish you now a nice and pleasant Evening/Day, have fun with the Game and lovely Greetings to you and your 2 Sweeties 🥰🥰
My problem is.. Ezio from the short film is barely like the Ezios from the games. Ezio's portrayed like an inquisitive young gentleman in the film. Ezio in the game seems like a dumb horndog.
You are correct that it's a combination of live action and animation! All of the environments are taken straight from the game if I'm not mistaken. And yeah, most of the characters are played by their voice actors
The whole thing was shot on greenscreen. And 99% of the actors you see in the short are the same people who gave their likeness and their voices to the characters in-game. Giovanni, his wife, Lorenzo de Medici, the Gonfaloniere, Father Mafei, Rodrigo Borgia, ... basically all of them. With the notable exception of Ezio himself. The young man you see in the film is not the actor who voices him in game.
It's definitely live-action, but with low-budget, so the backgrounds don't feel real, and the photography is saturated, the first time I saw it I couldn't decide wether it was CG or real, it's both I guess ^^ It was their way to promote AC2, the franchise wasn't as popular as it is now :)

I really think this was PEAK Assassin's Creed. The direction and overwhelming passion that went into the Ezio saga, especially AC2 is unmatched.
