pretty poetic given that also towards the end of his Assassin career, Ezio also broke his hidden blade the same way in Masyaf, defending himself from a spear attack.
Eh, an AC film adapting the games would contribute nothing unless it's somehow a parallel universe and if it's involving the POE from AC1 that manipulates time; Now an AC film making its own story that actually _contributes_ to AC lore? Now that would be amazing. The movie we already have was pretty close with it and already a love letter to the franchise, but if they make another and fine tune its flaws, it'd be amazing.
There is more heart and soul in this 35 minutes than in ALL of the 2016 film. Got to love and respect those behind this, who knew the material and how to bring it to life respectfully and creatively.
It would be so incredible, the actual movie wasn't made for real AC fans, if they can pull it off with the witcher. I mean start at one and every season is another game, even the first 3 seasons alone could follow Ezio and Altair. Damn I need this in my life.
I think people were expecting an exsact replica of the game, since everyone else are exsact copies (since there the actors) and elevate the material. People wanted to se game Ezio come to life
@@WednesdayMan I think they didn't want to make cinematic Ezio look like in-game Ezio, Altair, and Desmond. Plus the motion capture actor for all three was too old to pull off looking. 16-17. It's more easy to make characters look younger in games compared to using CGI for films. And CGI de-aging back in 2009 would have looked even worse then it does today.
the reason is actually very simple. the model face actor for ezio, desmond & altair couldn't come to an agreement to act in the movie, and he took other contracts. so they (ubi) replaced him. it's quite simple and happens all the time. Francisco Randez is the model's name.
This shows how much passion they had for the series. I've played all the AC games and Ezio is still my favourite. Creating a short film before the game? I mean who wouldn't be hooked up on that? Ubisoft should make a movie which they write themselves and not trust the writing to others. We work in the dark, to serve the light. We are Assassins.
I believe they're pretty much the same actors for the games, as their likeness was used for the characters they play. With Ezio, he shares his likeness with Desmond and Altair, as they share the same base likeness/model, Francisco Randez, so Ezio's likeness did not look like his voice actor, same with Desmond and Altair.
My three biggest takeaways from this short film, having watched it in full for the first time (I had seen a 3 minute trailer version before and had assumed for the longest time that was all there was), are: Firstly, the love between Giovanni and his wife. The stolen glance from the dining room to Giovanni's office makes her loss all the more heartbreaking, making me actually believe in her waking-coma like state. Second, that Giovanni was so dedicated to his cause, so skilled as an Assassin with this short film adding to the feeling thst Ezio really followed in his father's footsteps, and that he got so close to the truth only to be blindsided by trust. And third, that the true tragedy of Giovanni as a character is that he would have given anything to keep his family from harm and protect his identity as an Assassin. Not only were two of his sons killed alongside him, but he would have grieved to learn that Ezio would follow his path. He would be proud of the man he became, no doubt, but sorry that he ever had to step up to the role. Though he seemed stern with Ezio in the first few chapters of Assassin's Creed II, I think he was always proud of Ezio, however he expressed himself, whatever he chose to do. He would never have wanted him to face the life he did. But if he hadn't, so much of history would be changed, not to mention the fact Ezio reclaimed the lost knowledge of Altaïr, a pet project of Giovanni's it seemed, and interacted with his future descendant, Desmond. As much as Altaïr should be credited for reforming the Assassins in his time, and he should as he still goes under appreciated by much of the fanbase, the Brotherhood and moreso the future of the world would never have been the same without Ezio. And we have Giovanni to thank for that, though he would wish otherwise.

Giovanni's outfit has always been my favorite outfit for Ezio. I think the Brotherhood one stands out way too much from the overwhelming presence of white color and Revelation's outfit is too bulky compared to what the people wear.
@@shira_yone I will say that the colors and patterns made Ezio blend in, but once you start putting on armor, he stands out. Without it, he looks like a wealthy old man.
Nice. All the actors played their parts well. The cinematography was beautifully done. The choreography was well shot as well. This was a very well done short film. If only the producers of the movie had taken example from this.
For all the people thinking the assassin is Ezio, you're wrong. The assassin is his father. For proof, look up this movie, read the description box, and look at Ezio's father in Assassin's Creed 2.
Ezio didn’t become an assassin until his family was executed. He had no idea what his fathers robes or blades meant until he met with his Uncle and started to understand what it means to be an assassin. Ezio went from being a rich kid enjoying life to wanting revenge for his family to being an assassin that fights for a cause that’s bigger than himself!
+Nickolas Marchuk They'll butcher it, just like every other game to be brought to the big screen. This is the best we'll get, because this was made by AC fans, not money-grabbing film studios.
Well there's actually an assassin's Creed movie something about the main character being kidnapped by the government and the government said that he's family/the assassin Creed characters are powerful with advanced speed and stealth and the government use the main character as an assassin and the story continues
James Dominic Fenix Well they used the actors faces for their models in game. They couldn't use Ezio's because he didn't have a unique face at the time. So this is probably Ezio's real face when Desmond isn't in the Animus.

Not only that, it's well written and perfectly matches the game, the actors, the movements, how they talk, it's amazing how they were able to execute it.
I'm not gonna lie, I thought that for a second too, but this is actually very good. I love how it looks authentic, down to the way they speak and their accents. Ezio's mother is so pretty, when they were having her dressed for this movie, they really nailed it.
Absolutely amazing, wonder that no one decided to pick this up for a series. Besides from the assassins using torture, this was quite well written, acted and the cinematic made it surreal, a mix of game and reality. Brilliant.
that torture was the beautiful, gutsy, ballsy and grim... required move, shows no side is white or black, but grey!.....reminds me, when movies and art were not afraid to show reality. not like woke shit we are forced to eat today.

At that time, clothes were quite flamboyant and flashy so yeah, the Assassin robes don't stand out that much
Also lets not forget Altair hiding with monks.
Giovanni's outfit has always been my favorite outfit for Ezio. I think the Brotherhood one stands out way too much from the overwhelming presence of white color and Revelation's outfit is too bulky compared to what the people wear.
It's because in game you have all kinds of armor and weapons strapped to you, it looks kinda goofy

Emperor Reign Don’t blame Hollywood, blame the Directors
Netflix is working on an assassin's series. i bet it will be like the game, starting by altair
Their animus looks so bad tbh, it just doesnt look like any of them
Emperor Reign Ubisoft is what’s ruining AC, by making games like Odyssey which completely lose the purpose of the original games in favor of mindless RPG action. They’ve completely forgotten what it’s meant to be and keep giving it to game directors like Melissa MacCoubrey who do not understand or don’t care about the Assassin’s Creed and its meaning.
