Cow's Head Tacos, Grasshoppers, and Mezcal: Chef's Night Out with Pablo Salas

- Mexico has one of the richest, most diverse food traditions of any country in the world. From north to south, east to west, you can find an infinite variety of delicious plates on your table.
Even with this in mind, Toluca City-two hours away from Mexico City-is not exactly the first place you think about when you think of Mexico's food culture, but that's likely about to change.
Chef Pablo Salas was born in Toluca, and is one of the first chefs to put the city's gastronomic style on the map, earning his restaurant Amaranta acclaim as one of the top five restaurants in Mexico. We visited Pablo at Amaranta for some of the best high-end versions of Mexican street food that we've ever tried. We miss you already, Toluca!

this is probably my favorite one to date. absolutely amazing.
Great food, great drinks, , great places, great episode. The drinks at Carmen Mezcaleria looked awesome. Munchies is killin' it.
I LOVE COWS HEAD MEAT. Every other 2 weeks , my dad buys one for the whole family. I love the tongue the most.
my mom cooks the tongue in a slow cooker. comes out delicious!
FearlessP4P1 yup.
FearlessP4P1 we just bought some good Tripas and Cabeza de Vaca.
hell yeah ruben.. its so bomb!!
Gabriel C yup , we bought a cow head today in the morning. !
"Mis ayudantes de cocina estaban hasta la madre... Jajaja!"
i would have liked more footage of the guys out on the town instead of a third of the video just introing them. overall though I always enjoy chefs night out, the main guy seemed nice. dont listen to these ignorant people that are always in your comment section, keep doing what you are doing. I appreciate the look into other cultures, and i enjoy listening to other languages. keep it up munchies
This guy makes everything look so nice clean and delicious
Who else comes to this channel when there high
Really high rn dude
Funny how Mexican poor people food has become popular chic. The growing middle class in Mexico has kept it's taste for their staple dishes but enjoy it in a more refined atmosphere. But they're still magic in a mom and pop corner taco stand.
I'm a fan of yours Chef Pablo!
They enjoy the life :)) Great!
Man the food in mexico is bomb even the vegetables even though i dont like to eat vegetables ,
esos taquitos Se miran a toda madre
awesome fun episode
Lovid it!
50 Years! That tells you something
yum yum
Get on the street food !! In mexico its where its at !! The humble street food people know what there doing
More chef's night
Did i see a saint louis cards hat? It took me a while to notice.
I love the fact that they drank Mezcal here, because the mantra in bars & restaurants is that you should NEVER drink Mescal unless it's to get drunk on the cheap. Only drink tequila. I'm glad the spirit is getting some respect.
They drank more than they ate LOL
Tacos de lengua are THE BEST.
Oh wow, this is my home town. They went to one of my favorite bars. This is surreal, how the fuck did I not know this was happening!?
Súper buen pedo el chef pablo pero se ve que le gusta la Mary Jean
miguel carrillo si es bien grifo por que crees que después de los tacos le cupo tanta comida jaja
:v
For you ignorant people saying Mexican food is only tacos if you didn't have the attention span of a goldfish you would hear the chef say that his restaurant and his favorite foods are street foods and tacos are by far the most popular street food, which is why they are showing all types of tacos. It's like saying Americans only eat hamburgers.
jlopez1017d no one really means that. They’re just jealous and trying to troll. Look at all the different foods that are made in this video. It’s amazing. And people all over the world eat tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, guacamole, nachos... all these Mexican dishes and the people complaining don’t have even 1 or 2 dishes in their country that are as popular in the world as Mexican dishes. They’re just jealous. 🤷🏽♂️
I would be so full from eating all of that.
There are definitely a lot of jealous whiny people in the comment section. Sorry but they like Mexican food. It’s popular. Why you so mad? Mexican food is bomb. Many people say it’s the best in the world. And if they don’t show your country’s food I don’t know maybe it’s not as popular? It’s just food.
Jaja fumando mota en la van
Awebito desde toluquita la bella.
comen un chingo
donde les cabe tanto? jajaja buen video
Pura motita
lolol
No mas sirve una prueba?
This is a great episode but the translation is pretty bad. Anyway, goos job as usual!
better: Drunk Chef´s Night Out with Drunk Pablo Salas
Q vidas. Q no c acaben
I almost fell asleep.
sooo they ate 4 diff types of tacos? lol
Is there nothing but tacos in Mexico?
theres also a lot of pizza and chinese food
+won1853 take a peek on how big mexican cusine is and you will see your comment is pretty much stupid.
is the only thing they eat in Mexico tacos? Damn, obviously I know that there is alot more to Mexican cuisine than Tacos and Burritos but damn, thats like the only thing they ate in this video
not once did they eat a burrito you uncultured swine. also burritos are a mexican-american thing. they dont eat that in mexico.
americas equivalent to the taco is the burger, and when american guys hangout they go for burgers or other convenient foods. in mexicos case dudes eat tacos
FearlessP4P1 You misinterpreted my comment and thought too deeply about it. When I said " there is alot more to Mexican cuisine than Tacos and Burritos," I wasn't even talking about the video. In North America, people most commonly associate Mexican dishes with Burritos and Tacos so that's why I listed them. How does that make me an uncultured swine?
FearlessP4P1 It's still weird how majority of the things they ate were variations of different tacos. In Canada, we don't just eat different variations of the same food as often like that, so it was a bit of a culture shock. Relax.
In the beginning of the video the chef said how his restaurant is inspired by Mexican street food and what is the most popular street food in Mexico? Tacos of course. That is why they showcase a lot of taco variants because his restaurant is inspired by the food street vendors sold growing up.
jlopez1017d makes alot of sense. Thank you.
That wasn't tripe
+boostamante64 ¿De qué hablas? obviamente es tripa dorada.
+David Alva si, los tacos son de tripa. la traduccion de la palabra tripa es incorrecto.
Ah sí, supongo sería "guts".
No mames.
What is the leading cause of mortality in Mexico? What are the cancer rates, maybe especially bowel cancer?
im sorry im not hating but this guy oh my lord the way he speaks so damm flat! without highs or lows. i couldnt understand whether he started a sentence or ended it...like one sentence of information like a robot voice without stopping...Otherwise great food great people nice episode
Do you guys not have enough enough in your budget to do videos on other countries? Yes, Mexico has very rich culinary culture and gastronomy, but there are plenty of other countries that do too in the world. I wanna know about those other countries. You're acting like Vice, always putting up a video about Mexico because you're lazy. Do something new.
