Damn when his dad said that the photo he was holding was from a medallion/chain that he sold to buy pots and pans and a register to start his business... man I teared up. THAT is what it’s all about. Orgullo Mexicano!
The most diverse Munchies crew yet
Zayd Shakur us Mexicans don't stick to the " hang with your race only rule" you are all family to us! mi casa es tu casa!
FOH, you guys only do the "black and brown let's unite" act! When it's beneficial to you guys. African-American blacks changed so much for immigrants and minorities in the States and as a African myself i must say y'all show such a lack of respect towards them.
mi casa es tu casa my ass...
72vince27 Mexican-Americans had the first anti-segregation in schools legal case in the US, The Lemon Grove Incident in the 1930s. They have continuously fought for civil and human rights since day one. Learn your history, not just the history that is convenient to you. Mi casa es su casa applies to anyone and everyone.
I know c any yellow's
preach brother.
As a Mexican from Mexico, I'm absolutely DELIGHTED that real Mexican food is seriously going stronger and stronger in the US. Keep it up, would love to see this food go worldwide.
How could it lol? Mexican food is AMAZING! I’m a super picky eater and I love that I can always find something good to eat at a Mexican restaurant!
Mexican food is worldwide and nothing new in the US either.
come to new zealand. i know it's far away, but we need more mexicans. our mexican food is shit. bring mezcal with you. mucho mucho gracias
As a gringo from South Texas, I am blessed to have so much Mexican food available to me. I've been working hard during this whole Covid thing on my Mexican dishes and perfecting techniques. The pandemic was good for something!
I always tell my European friends they’re seriously missing out because Mexican food just doesn’t exist over there.
I love his father .... A hard-working man......
Suzanne Baruch you obviously didn't work very hard at shutting your fucking mouth, fat lard
Gaspar, why don't you shut YOUR stupid mouth? Or better yet, get a face transplant you ugly idiot.
Suzanne Baruch maybe he felt more comfortable speaking in Spanish. He probably has a thick accent and thinks people won't understand. It's very common for older people who know the language to be shy. I'm pretty sure he knows but has an accent. He's been a business owner for many years and worked his ass off. You can see and hear because his son talked about college and finance. Mind boggling how little respect people have for old timers who have broken their backs for their families. Chill with the negative comments. Live life, enjoy the good times fuck outta here with that negative nonsense.
What did Suzanne say? did she delete her comments or something?
hi how are you yea she deleted her racist comment, in sure she felt stupid afterwards lol
These guys pretty much drank the whole time and didn't even break a sweat! Fucking walking tanks
Shervin Laghaie lol
Mr. Light lol
Mexicans from Chicago can drink you under the table.
Chefs are hard core. I have a lot of Chef friends...I have tried to hang and party with them. Always ended bad.:)
He really named a drink Sorry for Harambe. The meme lives on.
that father's story is so inspiring.. selling one of the things he most cherished in a bet to make himself a better life. You could see him just about to tear up when he said that story.
Great Episode. Please make more like this, showcasing real people and real chefs/restaurant owners.
LouB3rt agreed, enough with the fake people and fake restaurants. If you're not working-class, fuck your hard work.
Someone got triggered.
Tacos Varios
Someones taco’s a little dry.
this was one of my favorite episodes.....all these dudes were chillin and having a good time! Not one pretentious moment. Got drunk but remained respectful.
Ahuevo. This is what makes life worthwhile. I'm Mexican and my group of close friends consists of more Mexicans, white cajuns, Cambodians, and Algerians. It always brings a smile to my face when they come to my mom's house for some mole y flautas con arroz y frijoles. Con unas birongas para que amarre bien
luis alcala that's awesome!
Please feature more Chicago restaurants!!!! Pilsen will always be my first home. Actually went to Carnitas uruapan for my birthday breakfast last year. My family is also from Michoacán. Great episode!
Andi Hernandez i
"We also sell nostalgia from Mexico" -that made me tear up. My mom is such a good cook her aunts taught her after her mother died. I was born here I've never ever met them in my life. My mother always talks about their cooking. She misses them, I miss them even though I do not know what they look like I know their food so I feel like I know them too.
Oh god... I love mexican food... this guys are really something. Next time I visit Chicago I will go to this neighbourhood definitely.
Just left this place. Omg the food was GREAT!!! My hubby had been wanting to go here since he watched this video and finally we got to go. This place is authentic and Marco was there!! Super sweet guy. Again GREAT place!
I'm 34, i used to go with my parents to the original location before the second one opened. Great staff, and great owner+son combo. I swear these people are why im proud to be Mexican. My father and i own a business now too. These guys were an inspiration.
what a nice, genuine guy. he and his father are doing amazing work.
So much respect for having a corrido made for his father !
I've been going there all my life. Real carnitas
Bro, if the carnitas shop says uruapan in the front, youre on for a good fucking flavor ride.
So refreshing to see an episode of this that doesn't consist of a bunch of drunk hipsters...these seem like genuinely good guys.
Mexicans always do epic drinkouts
This is amazing. It made me so nostalgic of mexico and it was also really relatable because I am a Mexican American living in the USA
I had a smile from ear to ear throughout the whole thing. I miss Chicago .
When I was a kid my grandma with stop at Carnitas Uruapan and buy 1 carnita taco. She split it into 2 tacos with the 2nd tortilla and give me one.
These type of things make me feel more proud of being Mexican never forget your roots
Most honest and feel-good episode of 'chef's night out'...easily.

this video made me really happy for some reason, could be that I've actually ate everything on this episode before lol
These guys make the best carnitas! Awesome to see them featured on munchies.
Great episode, great food, great family story and neighborhood. I am definitely checking these places out when I go to Chicago.
This is what the real America is like no matter what the media portrays. My Grandparents lived in Brooklyn 60 years ago and their friends were Italian, Irish, Jewish, native American, African American etc, building trades people working together. I love the melting pot we are, people of different cultures showing love and respect for one another.
This hit home. Saludos desde Tejas!
Favorite episode!
I loved this so much.
I noticed they served Menudo too which is one of my favorites. They're gonna need that in the morning.
My fav Chefs Night Out yet! 🇺🇲🇲🇽👍

Big ups to San Juan, Michoacán 🙌🏽

Best Munchies Episode 🖤🖤🖤🖤🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
What an amazing video
Fuck yes. THIS is the Chicago I know and love.
Italians do the same thing. Regular English accent, than hardcore overkill on pronunciations. Great episode as always!
Jason Sawatsky speaking of italian, you guys have great food.
Mexicans and Italian are first cousins thats why.
Definitely prefer this guy over the hipster living bois.
Definitively the greatest Chefs Night out episode to date, most of the other ep's are boring, these guys should have a reality show, and its a plus that theyre from where my fams from too.
food great guests were interesting positive familia vibe
holy shit how are they still standing?
So proud to hear Michoacán being mentioned, especially on this channel !
Elizabeth Contreras what part are you from?
