    Upgraded the tires on my CFMOTO 300SS. Michelin Pilot Streets have a great grip on the road. What tires do you guys run?

    I checked around... Soooo difficult to find a good brand tire with these numbers... The 140/60 r17 is non existent here! I went to the DMV to ask which size would be legal, so in the future I won't have problems...they stated that 150/60 r17 is permitable!
    There are a ton of great tires out there with vthat size!!😊 Been studying all the possibilities for my beloved 300SR 2023 ❤
    And for my type of riding out here in Europe traveling and the Twisties and sight seeing at a nice pace is what I do here. I really wanted to be safe in the turns and leaning quite a bit . The OEM tires weren't bad same thing you said about them... But like you I want quality components on this little jewel...
    I went with the "Pirelli diablo Rosso 4 tires" just ordered them from the shop where I bought my bike new from.
    Should be a nice ride right?
    Safe riding ✌️

    My two bikes also use CST(CHENG-SHIN-TIRE 正新轮胎) tire, they are pretty good&solid all the time,compare to the other tires brands just kind like compare CFMOTO to other famous moto brands. it's true lots of bikes in the market here China use the CST tire. Glad to see you enjoy all the chinese products, Insta 360、DJI、CFMOTO、CST... have fun and drive safely bro. 👍

      Forgot to tell you, the name CF comes from "ChunFeng春风".That means "spring breeze" or "spring wind" in english, such a beautiful chinese name right? But the eng alphabet name.. it sucks i have to say that.

    Hi Rob, have a question ❓
    At 11.1 compression on the 300SR they say using super gasoline is good. Super gasoline can be used anywhere from 10.5 to 12.5 compression on engines...
    The bike I just traded in (350-GK) had 12.1 compression , I used super and it ran smooth as heck. In 4-5 days I get my 300SR 2023 sportbike. I will definitely be using super!
    Also wanted to add, I also had the CST tires on the 350-GK they were actually ok, but after two months I changed to Michelin tires (Road 5) I just feel more secure when laying the bike down in the turns...
    I probably will follow the tire tip you left about going 150 in the rear, sounds like the right thing to do. I tend to lay her down quite a bit so having that 150 may be the ticket... First I'll talk to an engineer I know, he's all about superbikes and racing out here in Europe see what his opinion is. I'm 💬 that just maybe, the 110 in front and the 150 in the rear may not match or compensate for the radius on a lean in the turn. I'm eager to see what he will illustrate on this subject. He always explains everything on a chalk board 😊
    Safe riding!

      Hey Lefty, Sounds like you will get it dialed in right for how you ride. Check with what others think on the tire sizes. I really didn't get too crazy on my 300SS, but it was capable. Really good bike to ride through the turns with.

    I have a CFMoto 300SR from the Asian market fitted with Michelin tires they're pretty great I've tried them on twisties and city ride and I do believe that the CFMoto 300SR is decent enough for some city use :) CST tires are decent everyday/temporary tires especially if you're on a budget but I won't use it for track.
    By the way can't help point out that your mic quality is pretty crisp!

    • @ROBSOLUTELY
      @ROBSOLUTELY  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks for the compliment on the mic quality. I'm using DJI wireless mics. I'm happy with the quality. Someday I'll do a video on my cameras and mics. Glad to know someone else that upgraded to Michelins. I kept the CST for spares. 👍

      @@ROBSOLUTELY what happened to the 150/60?

  • @agm8022

    Stock rear size is 140/60r17. Do you find the height or ride different with 150/60r17 instead of stock size?

    • @ROBSOLUTELY
      @ROBSOLUTELY  2 місяці тому

      I don't think the size really made much of a difference in the ride, but the quality of tires makes a difference in the handling.

      I got it on AliExpress. The link for mine is not there anymore, but if you search for CFMOTO 300ss Fender Eliminator, you should be able to find one like it.

    I have a 300NK and love it. Too many people are caught up with the whole antiChina thing. Their loss as far as I am concerned. I cant wait to add a 450SR. Or the next gen 850MT R
    Also I ride with On2Crew in Australia and I keep up easy enough

      People don't realize that CFMOTO is a big company that produced engines and parts for other bikes.

  • @dddddd7092
    @dddddd7092 2 роки тому +2

    I did a bit of research and found the CST tire actually belongs to the ninth largest tire company, Cheng Shin, as a subsidiary as well as Maxxis. This is the same tire as the indigenous version of CFMOTO 250sr (249 cc) in China. Most Chinese motorcycle media also said the OEM tires are pretty decent, but swapping to a higher performance set is definitely a wise mod! 👍

    • @ROBSOLUTELY
      @ROBSOLUTELY  2 роки тому +1

      I think the CST tires were decent for OEM. I'm keeping mine as spares. Good to know they are a sub of Maxxis. Michelins were not a needed upgrade, but I think a good one.

    Caught your feedback on the Ninja 250 vs CFMOTO... yeah old Carburettor Ninja 250 is a totally different generation so CFMOTO would be in a different league :)

    What’s your mpg? And how much to fill up to a full tank?

    • @ROBSOLUTELY
      @ROBSOLUTELY  2 роки тому +1

      I'm averaging about 80 MPH. I guess the price for a full tank really depends on what the prices are at the time I fill up. I haven't let it get below a 1/2 tank yet.
