BROKE DOWN ON A SPORT BIKE RIDE
This was a great ride! These guys are brothers and they know how to ride well! I'm riding my CFMOTO 450SS, and we have a Kawasaki Z400 and a Kawasaki Ninja 300. Smaller bikes that carve the back roads and hight curves with ease. We met up at a gas station, then leaded towards Rose Valley Lake, through Trout Run and up Bodine Mountain in Pennsylvania. This was one of the best rides I've had on my sport bike. We have a few problems. The Z400 shut off once. We don't know what happened. My foot shifter fell off my rear sets. I'm gonna say it was my fault because I installed the new rearsets. Then we had some issues with the exhaust coming loose on the Z400. Nothing major and it all happened early on, so we were able to finish riding and having a good time. The Ninja 300 had to take off a bit early, but we'll get him out on another ride sometime soon. These guys were a blast to ride with. They know their bikes and are well connected when they ride. They also knew some backroads that I have never been on before, so it made for great riding.

Do you use earplugs? I am super happy with my AGV K5-S ...but I have like 12 helmets though with uses and opinions on each (yes I am getting help).
No I do not use earplugs. I have my Cardo speakers mounted in the speaker pockets. Helmet is very quiet. Cardo uses JBL speakers. Sounds good overall.
@@ROBSOLUTELY Please do yourself a favour and get quality earplugs that cut out the harmful frequencies and still work great with comms... even the quietest helmets get up to around 100 db and rides more than 20 min will start doing long term damage even if you don't notice it and your 50+ year old self will never forgive you. So I am a bit of a helmet snob and have a lot of high quality helmets as in I normally don't spend less than 500 dollars on one. Arai is the only one missing from my collection so that will be next to try and buy at a store with a decent selection and make sure I get that perfect fit.
I think it's the camera angle. I feel that cameras on bikes either make the lean look extra scary or non-existent
I agree.
Why not a cruiser? 😂
I'm a sport bike kind of guy.
Charming lot 😜
I've been watching this video for 5 minutes. When does the lean start?
If you are looking for knee dragging lean, I'm not there yet.
Bike gremlins
I believe that's what it was! 😄
I have the same bike and am doing g the same exact thing g !!!! Following!
I did it for a deep clean, polish, detail and ceramic coat. Then I put the fairings back on.

bro please let us know price of this bike i am asking from long time?
I do not sell bikes. I ride them. For the latest price, go to the CFMOTO website and check their MSRP in your country, then go to a dealer to check the final price.
Just casually blocking the road like a typical biker clown
Yes, on a backroad with no traffic to block. Bike was locked in 5th gear and shut off because the foot shifter fell off. I guess it's something you wouldn't understand. ✌
I'm JUST getting into the 450sr and up until it was stated that it's a self-installed aftermarket shifter, my nerves were literally on the edge lmao Even over a year after it came out, this model has barely any reviews so I have no idea what to expect. No regrets so far, it's the most beautiful thing ever, but... you know.
The bike is all good. I have had no issues with it. I ride it all the time. I would recommend CFMOTO to anyone.
Curious to see the follow up on this 🤔 I've got the same bike and not only interested in seeing you take it apart but also interested in potential customization.
I just took it apart to deep clean, polish, detail and ceramic coat. It's all good and put back together now. 😄
@@ROBSOLUTELY damnnn. I fell for the clickbate! 😂🤦🏻♀️
@@mershamia252 Good to know that the bike is perfect with fairings though.
@@ROBSOLUTELY this is true! I'm loving mine so far. Only have about 1800 miles though
@@mershamia252 1,800 miles of pure fun! :)
This one or any other such as yoshimura? Thoughts
Check out my more recent videos. I upgraded to the Yoshimura. It's a lot better.
Is it possible to remove the middle bolt on the handlebars to put a phone stand? Would like to know before ordering one. Also, any recs for good phone stands, I only know of quad lock. Thanks!
You mean the center fork stem? Yes, that big bolt comes out. I have my quad lock mounted on mine. I inserted a ball mount adapter in mine. Check out some of my recent full videos. I have one showing all of the current mods and accessories. I show how I have my Quad Lock mounted in the fork stem.
@@ROBSOLUTELY would I be able to just buy a quad lock option that’ll fit into the middle bolt or do I have to pair it with a ball mount
@@SHD_Agent6514 It's a hex mount. The Ninja ZX6R mount works for the CFMOTO 450SS.
@@ROBSOLUTELY do the carbon fiber-looking (black) parts bend when pressed?
@@SHD_Agent6514 Yoshimura uses real carbon fiber, so it's solid.
Cf Moto?
You know it!

Ok.
I got the Voss 988 and I love it. Wish I would have gotten the 989, but overall I’m happy with the 988
Nice. I like the 988s too. I went with the 989 for the graphic on it. One of the best looking and most comfortable helmets.
@@ROBSOLUTELY yup, the graphic is why I chose mine too haha. Good looking, comfortable, AND AFFORDABLE! 😂
Wrenching on your own stuff has its upside and its downside. Ya feel dumb when stuff like this happens. Barely worth the $$ saved. But you might have noticed if it was loose also?
Not a hard install. Just something that I didn't think about putting lock tight on.
Dude I live in Williamsport and I’m about to drop the money on one, hope to see ya out there!
NICE! Where are you getting it? I'm on a bigger bike now, but we'll still have to get out and ride sometime.
Looks like a ninja 300 to me, as I have a 16’ 300.
I rode my CFMOTO 450SS, one guy was on his Ninja 300 and the other on his Z400. It was the Z400 that shut off and my 450SS that the shifter fell off. My fault on the shifter. I had just installed aftermarket rear-sets and didn't put lock tight on the shifter. Lesson learned and it's on there good now.
Its really relatable for me 🤣🤣🤣
Same thing happen to you? This was my fault. It happened because I didn't put lock tight on my after market rear sets. I got them on good now.
Happened to whoever owned my first bike before I bought it.
Mine was my fault. I didn't use thread lock when I installed the rear sets.
I can say that 10-15 years ago I wouldn't have bought a Chinese bike. I got the chance to see the factories and did some investigations and was literally blown away! The technology they are using is incredible. They even have their own patents on several engines and more. From engineering, to the finished product, it is the best value for money... We all wish the U.S. would do the same but that's never going to happen. Building the same bike in the states would cost double, or even triple in some cases! For folks who don't have a lot of money it's probably the best shot... I've had three so far, very surprised, the build quality for the price is amazing.
Yeah I love the bike and the quality is as good as Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, etc. At least they are building in the USA and expanding the dealer network, so keeping American's working in sales, service and parts.
🎉🎉
Party Party!
🎉🎉
Stay happy and ride safe.
I just hate that people just automatically have negative thoughts on a product because its from china and they never even tried it out mean while they run and workout in nikes and type comments on phones that were made in china. I love my CFMOTO450SS. The quality is great and the performance is amazing and i have owned BMWs, hondas, suzuki and kawasaki. The cam shaft on my bmw S1000XR broke into pieces when my bike had 400 miles on it and i bought that thing brand new. How's that for quality and german standards.
I agree and you made some great points. I still love my 450SS too. CFMOTO has been a great brand for me.
Whats crazy is that people have a problem with Chinese made bikes but then buy Japanese or "american" bikes aka harley and all of those bikes are either made in China or have parts from china and this includes BMW bikes. Kawasaki bikes are made in china but built to Japanese quality. Google which motorcycles are made in china or have parts made in china.
I've mentioned this to so many people. KTM and Yamaha have A LOT of quality CFMOTO parts in them, but people with those brands don't like to hear about it. 😀
It was good time 🤘
For sure! 🤘
I got thread lock on my shifter now. Should be good. 💪
It’s made in 🇨🇳 these thing’s just happen 😮
Crazy when you say that because I had just installed aftermarket rear sets on the bike. This problem was my fault, because I didn't put thread lock on the foot shifter when I installed it. Certainly NOT a fault with the bike or where it was manufactured. I learned my lesson and it's back on with thread lock now.
What's the point of seeing a bellend riding his peddlebike ? 😝😝😝👎👎👎
This was a really fun ride. These guys know how to ride their bikes well. They are so connected and both have a lot of skill.
I’m switching the exaust on the bike for a KO lightning, do y’all know if I need a tune???
For a slip on exhaust, where you aren't messing with anything other than the exhaust, you typically don't need a tune. Check with your dealer to be sure.
Chinese quality
The bike is strong. It's an after market rear set that I installed. Issue was my fault because I didn't use thread lock on the foot shifter.
Let me guess, you are wearing a Voss helmet?
Yes.
Engine hot 🔥
Nope, temp was good. We don't really know what happened, but after it started back up, it ran strong for the rest of the day.
Electrical conection is lose somewhere check the kill switch first
I'll let him know to check.
Nice bike keep up the good work man❤
Thank you! I appreciate you watching.
So rev it hard when it starts...
I'm glad it started back up and he was good to ride again.
Hi Rob, have a question ❓ At 11.1 compression on the 300SR they say using super gasoline is good. Super gasoline can be used anywhere from 10.5 to 12.5 compression on engines... The bike I just traded in (350-GK) had 12.1 compression , I used super and it ran smooth as heck. In 4-5 days I get my 300SR 2023 sportbike. I will definitely be using super! Also wanted to add, I also had the CST tires on the 350-GK they were actually ok, but after two months I changed to Michelin tires (Road 5) I just feel more secure when laying the bike down in the turns... I probably will follow the tire tip you left about going 150 in the rear, sounds like the right thing to do. I tend to lay her down quite a bit so having that 150 may be the ticket... First I'll talk to an engineer I know, he's all about superbikes and racing out here in Europe see what his opinion is. I'm 💬 that just maybe, the 110 in front and the 150 in the rear may not match or compensate for the radius on a lean in the turn. I'm eager to see what he will illustrate on this subject. He always explains everything on a chalk board 😊 Safe riding!
Hey Lefty, Sounds like you will get it dialed in right for how you ride. Check with what others think on the tire sizes. I really didn't get too crazy on my 300SS, but it was capable. Really good bike to ride through the turns with.
Chinese brand…get ready to have it die on you in a few years.
Short circuit
We're not sure. Seemed to start back up and run good after that.
The connectors in the 450ss are a 🤬
Not sure which connectors you mean?
@@ROBSOLUTELY the connectors for the lighting wires that you have to unplug. Not damaging them was stressful.
@@billygould9362 Oh! They should just pull out. There is some resistance to keep them connected, but it should be that bad.
@@ROBSOLUTELY I have a 2024 and they were really tight. It took me like 30 minutes to disconnect them because I didn’t wanna man handle them and cause wire damage.
@@billygould9362 Wow! Yeah mine were tight, which they should be, but didn't take me 30 mins to get them unplugged! That's crazy. Maybe they crimped yours a bit too tight.
Been there done that
I'm just glad it wasn't anything major.
In your humble opinion do you think it’s worth the money for this exhaust if you already have the KO one ?
I don't think it's necessary. However it is a very good quality exhaust. Much better made than the KO lighting. But it's also expensive.
You know, I certainly think it looks amazing... As a matter of fact, tomorrow l will be hopefully cutting a deal with a trade in for a CFmoto gray/blk 300SR superbike !! This one is offered here in Europe Spain!! 6 years ago I moved out here from California in order to take care of my folks (they are at that age where they need help) so I sacrificed everything in good ol' California 😢 but I've always been into bikes so we'll see if I can get a deal cut tomorrow 😊 I absolutely love the look of the 300SR superbike! I've always had big bikes but recently changed in what to ride... I'm done with going 250 kilometers per hour, I love the feeling of a smaller sporty bike especially out here in Europe! The roads were made for the bikers! The scenery, mountains, Twisties out here are just bliss!!😊 It's always nice to be ecstatic, excited about a new purchase on a bike. Take care, and safe riding!!
I hope you get a great deal. Let me know how you make out!!
@@ROBSOLUTELY Hey there Rob, just finished working out a deal. Keeping in mind that my (Zontes 350 GK Sporting Cafe 2023) already has 21.664 kilometers on it, I've agreed to Pay 1.850 euros... And that's out the door, with all the paperwork done. Man she is a real looker!! In trade INS we always lose a bit of money, but hey what the heck! I'll be breaking in a brand new bike. Every bike I've ever had I've treated excellent 👌 so hope this one lasts a while 😀! Take care, and safe riding bud!
That's why I check my hardware before I ride :)
Yeah, this was my fault. I didn't use lock tight on the shifter when I installed my new rear sets. Lesson learned.
@ROBSOLUTELY it happens to us all. I lost a windshield wing nut and had no clue until the group I was in stopped. Thankfully we had a cage with us to put my windshield in til I got home.
She’s out of her mind. Sick woman 🤦🏾♂️
Can I top off my 450ss coolant with another name brand as long as it’s the same color?
Check with your dealer first. Coolant isn't actually always the same. Why is your coolant low?
Well it’s brand new and it was barely at the low marker. I’m still in the break in period. Found out from the dealer that it’s fine and that I used the brand that they use in them and it was the green Polaris with ethyl propylene
@@jlolo2598 Ok good. I haven't needed to top mine off at all.
Rear sets? I’m not a rider could someone enlighten me?
It that part on the bike that holds your foot peg and foot shifter on the left side and the foot peg and rear brake on the right side.
@@ROBSOLUTELY thank you!
@@Jpw824 You are welcome.
whas this recent? i just bought mine and the transmission feels a bit clunky but i also havent ever ridden a sports bike like this
This happened to the aftermarket rear sets that I installed. No issues with the quality of the bike. I should have installed lock tight on the shifter. The transmission on mine is very smooth.
Mine jams over centre 450 sr problems
This was not an issue with the quality of the bike. This happened on the aftermarket rearsets that I installed. I should have used lock tight on the shifter bolt. My fault, not the bikes.
