I'd have strongly considered the 300NK instead of the Z400 I bought if they had been available. I feel like their Chinese origin would have helped keep their price from balooning like the stuff from the big 4 did. I could have walked out probably spending almost 2 grand less OTD than I did. And it's a really good point, that most small cc bikes will end up replaced before that 2 year warranty is up. Hell, I'm already planning my next bike and I've only had my Z400 since July.
@@ROBSOLUTELY Good to hear! When it's time to upgrade, the CFMotos are a tempting option. There's a 700 CL-X semi-local to me that is OTD just shy of what I paid for my Z400 OTD... I’m curious to hear from other riders who have this bike. I’m a 200 pound man and wondering what everyone’s top speed is. I don’t care if it doesn’t go over 100 mph but I’d like something that can cruise at 75 on a highway comfortably and still has enough power to pass or get out of trouble if needed
Im swapping out the windshield instantly when I get mine, I love everything on this bike except the windshield. It looks goofy and the taller one cfmoto sells is 100 times better.
I’m between this and a ninja 400. This has the looks and sounds, fast enough for my needs, ABS, and the beautiful price But at 6’2 250lbs I’d definitely have to try it. The ninja 400 ABS is more well known, already has a good amount of info on mods, and repair/service. Or I could just start on an 06 ninja 636 that’s already modified, as it’s my step fathers but he doesn’t want to repair it…..
@@101BadBreath I’ll probably just end up fixing my stepfathers 636 SE, and not send her to the moon (with me included). He says it has a ton of low end torque but I’m assuming that’s because he doesn’t know how to ride it well……

I'm a curious, possibly future, rider and have been looking at this one. I love how you listed some comp's at the beginning! Thank you! Edit: I noticed later on in the video you stated most people don't keep their 300cc bikes for more than a couple of years. So if I want a beginner bike that I can keep for a little while, should I look into a 400+? I've heard 650's are a good middle ground that aren't too much to learn on but have plenty of power so you don't feel like you're missing out on anything. Thoughts?
That bike is no question the best looking entry level bike out there. Performance is certainly way below appearance lol. And for $4299? Wow you really can't go wrong with this. I wish they made larger engine bikes that look like this but their other bikes are all naked
The CFMoto SR-C21 is in the works and is believed to be in the 700-800cc range. That thing looks incredible go check it out. It’s a full supersport model, not naked
I purchased CFMOTO 300SR 7 months ago. Got engine failure at 4 months, they replaced the engine. All good and at 6 month’s all electronic failure + Tbox failed. Unable to start the bike in the morning. Contacted CFMOTO dealer and been with them since, and still unable to get any parts for the bike. I believe it’s no worth owing too much problem. Very disappointed
as of now their bigger bikes seem to be quite a good alternative. Technically speaking they use engines from the likes of kawasakis ER650, Ninja/Z400, etc which are proven concepts. at last they produce parts for ktm like the dashboard, etc and ktm is considered a high quality brand (even though they kinda fail a lot with their in house produced things). in the end it's mainly about maintance and some bikes handle low maintance better than others
There is also a KTM colours :))......I wonder why :P........ And a circuit style colour patern....... But in EU, we have them from a a couple of years ago. Our thoughts were the same, there''s cheap bikes and there is this one.....FFS, it''s nicer than an R3 or CBR300 (here 5 year warranty).......but, we still need some years to see how they last on the road (currently 2-3 years without anything but maintenance).
Ask the dealer if they can make order from you straight from the factory coz that's what happen here in our country they'll do the order first and you'll receive your bike after a month or two
I've been looking into getting one soon and I've got questions about the quad lock. If I ordered one with wireless charging does the 300ss have a usb port? Or would I have to order the hard wire charger?

I almost regret getting my Ninja 650 as my first bike, mainly because of how good that bike looks.
If you look at the 450cc version it looks so good, name is cfmoto 450sr
It is 300SR in our country, I personally own one. It is a bang for the buck bike 👌👍🏍️
I've always been a Kawasaki fan. Still am, but I bought my CFMOTO 300SS for the price point. I love it! Every bit as good of quality as Kawasaki.
@@ROBSOLUTELY Good to hear! When it's time to upgrade, the CFMotos are a tempting option. There's a 700 CL-X semi-local to me that is OTD just shy of what I paid for my Z400 OTD... They're SUPER tempting, especially since they seem to be offering MORE for the money, with that nice TFT dash and rideraids.
omg i love this video i have watched it like 5 times already
Same goes to me :)
same. It's lust worthy.
Excellent review. I've liked and subscribed. 👍
Chase, is around 200lbs so the video is similar to what you'd experience. He calls out the rpms etc. Happy hunting.
alright this joint should be made the official starter bike for everyone.
NIce Bike Chase.... Looking forward to the CFMOTO 300 NK First Ride and Review
Are you guys picking this over the Yamaha R3?
Have you heard when and if you guys are going to get the 2023 300ss and 450ss to ride and do a review on
Im swapping out the windshield instantly when I get mine, I love everything on this bike except the windshield. It looks goofy and the taller one cfmoto sells is 100 times better.
I’m between this and a ninja 400.
This has the looks and sounds, fast enough for my needs, ABS, and the beautiful price
But at 6’2 250lbs I’d definitely have to try it.
The ninja 400 ABS is more well known, already has a good amount of info on mods, and repair/service.
Or I could just start on an 06 ninja 636 that’s already modified, as it’s my step fathers but he doesn’t want to repair it…..
With ur size small bikes will look small and be slow af...go 600+
@@101BadBreath I’ll probably just end up fixing my stepfathers 636 SE, and not send her to the moon (with me included). He says it has a ton of low end torque but I’m assuming that’s because he doesn’t know how to ride it well……
It is a gorgeous little sport bike....but do you need power modes on a 29hp machine? Probably could have made it even cheaper without modes
Can't wait to get mine
We sell the cf moto atv and utv. Have really good results from them. Good options on them, good price point. They are coming back in for service work, not broke work. Good machines.
Love the video!! Will you also review the SR450?
SR450 is not available in the USA yet. Hope we get it.
You should do a video on new rider myths. Like revving your bike to redline will hurt it.
Thoughts?
650 not a good starter bike 450 is better.
Omg...this bike looks amazing for a 300cc. And very affordable. 🤷🏾♂️ it's prob a really good commuter bike.
Hey Owen what are your opinions on which a newbie should get the 300ss or 450ss
That bike is no question the best looking entry level bike out there. Performance is certainly way below appearance lol. And for $4299? Wow you really can't go wrong with this. I wish they made larger engine bikes that look like this but their other bikes are all naked
Their 450sr was just released in asia. 50hp at only 168kg. this one is a power house!
Honda cb500f only has 44hp!
Any updates?
Yeah, what's the latest news- are you back on the road?
now if only they'd release their 450 in the states
Hey Chase you should check out the Royal Enfield line up if you want to see another spectrum of affordable beginner bikes.
Might be my beginner bike but idk about the bigger bikes because idk if their bikes will start fall apart after 2 years
as of now their bigger bikes seem to be quite a good alternative.
You need to do a first ride for the cfmoto 450 sr
I think I've watched this video at least 40 times... I have a problem 😅
I'm really waiting on cfmoto's 450sr to make it to America
There is also a KTM colours :))......I wonder why :P........
And a circuit style colour patern....... But in EU, we have them from a a couple of years ago.
Our thoughts were the same, there''s cheap bikes and there is this one.....FFS, it''s nicer than an R3 or CBR300 (here 5 year warranty).......but, we still need some years to see how they last on the road (currently 2-3 years without anything but maintenance).
Nice bike I was looking to get the ninja 400 but after this video this might just be the one
You should test the new rc 390 i heard amazing things about it!
Love the taillight. The front looks like an owl face a little.
You should really see the orange and blue they do here in Australia
Hopefully they’ll release the 450 one on the States.
Supposedly sometime in March or April.
Hehe yey they did it
i'm very disappointed that cf moto doesn't offer their 450 sr in the US
Ask the dealer if they can make order from you straight from the factory coz that's what happen here in our country they'll do the order first and you'll receive your bike after a month or two
please do all the rest cfmoto cheers Chase
Please try to do a review of their 450sr. Love your videos 😁👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I’m about to get my first bike in a few weeks to learn on and have some fun. I’m looking at one of these or a CBR300R. Which one would you recommend?
Cfmoto 300ss or the new and soon upcoming cfmoto450ss.
I would get the CFMOTO. They have about the same performance and the 300ss has more tech.
I've been looking into getting one soon and I've got questions about the quad lock. If I ordered one with wireless charging does the 300ss have a usb port? Or would I have to order the hard wire charger?
OC
I am loyal to Honda bikes,(7/9 bikes I have/had are Honda, non are sport bike), I would consider the 300NK for myself to try out the ride style.
I wish this had came out a couple months ago when I bought my Honda CBR300r. This CFmoto is the exact price range I was looking for smh.
When I bought the Honda, I couldn’t find a brand new bike in the 4k range at all. Everything was 6k and up
Same. I just got a cbr300 right when this hit the US market. It was brand new and everyone seemed to say it wasn’t worth the risk getting a new Chinese bike. Now I’m regretting it
