The Noctua PC Fan what a delight ;) My ASUS Tuf RTX 3090 is as loud as a vacuum cleaner. Thanks for the breakdown. Will looking for a water cooled and hopefully quieter solution in the future
I was wondering about doing this, basically not for the enhance GPU because I hear slinging them only gives you 50% more power but for running multiple monitors/games at the same time.
this is a bit bigger debate. 2080ti has 12Gb Ram. It is 50% less than 4090 and slower MHz, based on my tests if your texture fits in 12Gb you can use 2080ti also. It's noticeable that the 2080ti bucket in render will go slower compared to 4090 buckets but it will do the extra work. The system will act up more than usual, especially if you get near 12Gb of GPU Ram usage. KUDAN 4090 is a king.
@@vincentschwenk No it's now, we all went true a deep exploration and made the same or similar mistakes. From a limited series of CPUs with high PCIe lines number and Motherboards with 6 and more sloths for GPU. As always everything was on the RIG..
@@vincentschwenk You can add another power supply. It will be connected only to the GPU. There is a simple jump-start solution (usually comes with a new power supply). I will take photos of my RIG and e-mail them to you, at least it will give you an idea. We all have similar issues, and we don't have some kind of forum where we can share information and learn (on an easy way).

Apart from learning all this 3d stuff you still have to learn all this computer stuff toooooo
did you just call the cables expensive when you have 2 RTX 4090TIs
Would've loved to see a comparison vid between the two setups comparing render times. Did you release anything similar on your Patreon?
not yet, but the single 3090 is waaaay slower
Awesome! Glad you did a tech breakdown :)

I will also make some tests with that
Ohh yes. Don't bend the cables even I kept mine straight 🤣
I think we need to teach you how to build an PC for C4D.
Is it that bad?😂

Before the update I had 4 cards in there and it all went fine.
Now I can only fit 2x4090 and 1x2080 because of the power limitation.

i need to buy some new gpus now lol
is it posible to use 2080 for display and 4090 for for example pyro simulations? I tought that GPU that is primary display card is used for sims.
ah thanks, that's a very good thought. Because the simulation didn't get faster. Need to check that.

nice ! Hope there will be some video about render performance with the dual 4090 setup. BTW, should you note the instant load of power unit ?
Motherboard?
How did you get windows to see both the 4090s?
💥💥💥💥
Sorry but don't complain about $60 cables when you put in two 4090s. That's just... oh well...
😅
How did you get around the issue of nvidia discontinuing sli?
for gpu rendering you don't need sli
@@vincentschwenk oh cool
what about 4way rtx a6000 ADA without water cooler 😂
4090 is better than a6000
I also got a 4090, and I am also a little bit worried about the bending stuff🤣
let's hope they are not going to burn 🔥
nice
