An optiplex 790 with a GPU is actually a decent choice. It works pretty well. I used it for a few months with a GTX 1050 slim and I could play most games I wanted easily and it did not feel too slow. It is a PC from 2011

Bro what I found interesting about your video is that I have a very similar spec to your pc, but with the order of the parts like ´´reversed´´, cuz i have got an i5 760 which is worse than your i7 but I have a 1050 2gb which It's better than the 750, it's a nice coincidence but i think the cool part of these old combos is that they can still provide some performance in lighter games, like in GTA V, and still be usable to everyday usage
You can even use a Q6600 with a Quadro K600 in 2024 as long as you are doing just Office work, surfing the web, watching UA-cam/movies, Facebook, online purchasing and doing online chat.... What made me sad with this CPU is the lack of AVX... Nonetheless, i still have a "Retro" PC with a i7 870 overclocked to 3.8Ghz and a GTX 680 to play some older stuff on W7. I honestly love this CPU due to how cold it is and how effortlessly if can overclock. Played a lot of PS2 and some PS3 games with emulation on this CPU and it was always nice
Wow, I'm surprised every time when I see a benchmark about these old chips, btw I have too a massive x58 setup . Firstly i had a i7-930 for so many years , This year I got upgrade to a xeon w3690 and I just overclocked it to 4.1 ghz with an Rtx 3060 12gb and 20 gigs of ram and its awsome!
even for back in the day, these PCs weren’t top-notch hardware, i7 is almost but the 750 was defo a lower card, and the 8gb ram limit makes it so much worse, about 35$ you could jump huge with more ram and maybe a 1050
