Spontini is a restaurant chain. Their pizza is good, smooth on the top, a little bit crunchy at the base, but here in Italy Spontini it's kind of "fast food pizza". The real pizza is thinner. Ingredients make difference of a good pizza and one not: good flour, good water, good tomato and good mozzarella, not any stringy cheese. Cheers from Italy :)
I thought this style of pizza was from Milan, not entirely sure the name but I always thought thin pizza was more common in southern Italy. Want to go to Italy and try it all out one day :)
@@theweb3182 You should not criticize before having tasted it and everyone has their own pizza recipe. What is a real pizza? There are many other ways to make pizza in italy….even in Napoli. Koreans have mastered making these food videos. The best ones on YT are Korean... its a combination of great camera work and cooks who take pride and are very good at cooking.
So, I'm a pizzaiola from the USA west coast. I would consider myself a journeyman in Neapolitan, American Midwest, Alforno/grilled, Sicilian, Detroit and New York varieties. The more I study pizza, the more I realize that there isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to do it. It's all bound in culture, available ingredients and local experience. I see a spirit of abundance and generosity in the way they slice their hard salami, and I find it super interesting that they make a kind of "salad" with the olive oil, tomato and basil to top it after it's been baked. Please give them my regards and love if you go back there, again. I love what they're making, and I hope to come to S. Korea to try it, one day.
@In kognito, I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. Processed foods do have stuff in them you shouldn't eat much of. However, our grains are as good as anywhere else in the world (much of that thanks to our revived beer and artisan baking industries), as well as our produce, meat, etc The issues plaguing the US are much deeper and more systemic than the contents of our snack foods.
Now that’s a piece of ham! That’s my kinda pizza! I reckon it might be the only pizza I couldn’t eat all of it at one go, but I’d give it a heck of a go trying! It’s screaming for pepperoni and mushrooms. I can’t get over how delicious those slices look! Making my mouth water! The crunch of the crust, and all the cheese. Just WOW!
The assembly is like they are building a Kia. Even have an auto pizza slicer. The thickness of the dough is more of a focaccia style pizza. One of those pieces and your set for the day. Nice stuff.
In Italy are both very popular the thicc pizza and the thin pizza, the thicc pizza is called “pizza al trancio” it’s a square pizza, and is made predominantly at bars and bakeries, while the round thin pizza 🍕 is classical pizza served in the restaurants and pizzerias. Also focaccia and pizza are two really different things

toppings need to cook into the cheese. there is no winning this. If you pick up a slice like that, the toppings fall off. On the other hand, if you are one of those "pizza = knife and fork" people, well... the video shows how every slice the toppings fall off.

because that ain't no pizza, take all that salad sh*t off lol. Also, why ruin something that's traditionally been great in America for decades? Sure it looks cleaner, but you're going to have an amazingly better pizza at a hole in the wall suburban Chicago joint than you will in a country that strays far from the traditional recipe. edit: yes yes Italy started pizza, but guess what - America PERFECTED the pizza.
its a pan-style pizza, like how pizza hut does it so it's not exactly not traditional but not weird either. pretty sure the way the u.s makes pizza would offend many italians and it is not similar at all to a traditional italian pie

This is not Korean street food. This is an Italian franchise called "Spontini" which started from Milan (they after opened several shops worldwide) and has nothing to do with precision or mastery (as I saw written in some comments). It's just an industrial product and you cannot eat more than one slice of this "pizza" if you want to avoid digestion issues (since this dough has almost zero leavening and maturation). Italian pizza is something else, if you want to eat a good product for sure you'll have to prepare a dough 24-48 hours before to cook it (at least).

A cardiologist’s dream.

However, our grains are as good as anywhere else in the world (much of that thanks to our revived beer and artisan baking industries), as well as our produce, meat, etc
The issues plaguing the US are much deeper and more systemic than the contents of our snack foods.

I came looking for this comment. Thought I was the only one! The crust may as well have been focaccia. Regardless, it looks amazing. 😋

This is not Italian pizza
Italian pizza has a thin dough
Unfortunately, this is the American way
actually, this is the Milanese way of making pizza, the "pizza alta", if you go around the most famous and oldest places in the metropolitan area they all make their pizzas this way...unfortunately, Spontini is a chain that brings out a very mediocre product.
SI,
NO ES DE ITALIA
ES PIZZA ARGENTINA DE MOLDE
In America that pizza would be $400. That's miles above the amount of labor we put into a pizza. I wish we had restaurants like this here.
because that ain't no pizza, take all that salad sh*t off lol.
The thing is we do you just have to look for it.
I live in Asia and in quite a lot of countries prefer to do this kind of stuff by hand and not use machines
its a pan-style pizza, like how pizza hut does it so it's not exactly not traditional but not weird either. pretty sure the way the u.s makes pizza would offend many italians and it is not similar at all to a traditional italian pie
@@xeon2773 and yet funny enough, I will always enjoy any other pizza over the Italian Margherita style 😅

@@NoorVlogs389 hello

This is not Korean street food.
This is an Italian franchise called "Spontini" which started from Milan (they after opened several shops worldwide) and has nothing to do with precision or mastery (as I saw written in some comments). It's just an industrial product and you cannot eat more than one slice of this "pizza" if you want to avoid digestion issues (since this dough has almost zero leavening and maturation).
Italian pizza is something else, if you want to eat a good product for sure you'll have to prepare a dough 24-48 hours before to cook it (at least).
