Does anyone know Rui is an archbishop though? I only read until like half of Arc 7, so he may've told that everyone later, but if anyone knows anything about Gluttony they know Rai and Roi, not Rui.
@peppermint3808they never really follow Subaru in the first place just an image of the child of Vincent vollachia named Natsumi Schwartz.i still want at least one of them to follow subaru to the kingdom but even that is asking too much

For me, Arcs 7-8 aren't perfect, but I can't help but admire the level of ambition on display. Introducing so many important charaters, laying the groundwork for the final arcs of the story, setting up a massive war with several opposing factions and parties, killing off Priscilla, and much more all within 2 arcs. They, for lack of a better term, reached for the stars, and there's something to admire about that. Ultimately, I think that the events of these arcs will benefit the series in the long run, and I was really satisfied with the stories of Yorna, Eugard, Vincent, Todd, Tarita, Medium, and the others.
Honestly it's the aftermath post arc 8 that has me so shook especially Al. I do agree 7 and 8 had some short comings but reading them together like they were meant to be wasn't that bad.
I would be okay with arc 7 8 if he didn't have to crossdress or turn into a kid for so many chapters. Also the new concept of stargazer or whatver sound silly to me. Plot holes existed, like how he didn't get mana sickness. I prefer if Subaru was teleported with Beatrice as that would have fixed the plot hole. They didn't have to linger on the side characters so much.
I personally enjoyed the arc 8 fights way more than arc 5 and due to already dead characters returning the vollachia cast either got closure they needed or in Madelyns case was forced to come to terms with the fact that Balleroy is dead. I don’t really mind that Anastasia and Julius didn’t really do anything besides bringing Halibel in since it’s a Vollachia focused arc I don’t think it would’ve added anything if they were more active after randomly popping up with no buildup
Official illustrations might be mediocre, but fan made ones shown on WCT page made my imagination run wild during this arc. I wish illustrator could look at some of them and remade them into official ones.
Initially I was surprised to see this rank as low as it did for you, but I took a moment to consider it further and I get it. Many of the best moments of this arc happened via character interactions, but a large percentage of it isn't these moments, but instead just combat exposition. That's not to say there's nothing of merit in those moments, but it's hard for them to elevate the arc above others when, as you said, the main cast never really felt like their backs were against the wall.
I've kind of been coasting through arc 8 so I really appreciate the way you break it down. There's a lot of things I didn't piece together to be amazing things until you point them out
This was a really good video that does access some of my thoughts on the Arc while also giving me some more insight on things. It did feel like there were a lot of missed opportunities for the undead and while Sphinx was still good, she wasn’t another Todd (but still good). I feel what is impressive despite the issues of Arc 7 and 8 is that Tappei still hasn’t fully missed the mark with certain things, and we haven’t been given a TRULY bad ReZero arc. Can’t wait for the other phase videos to see if your ranking changes at all. Btw, we have the same ranking of the phases lol, phase 3 was a bit painful to get through.
Summed up my overall thoughts pretty well. Re:Zero continues to excel at character dynamic and overarching themes, but falters in pacing and keeping a handle on its scope. Many a time in Arc 8 I felt that its spectacular fights got too long winded and cumbersome, some characters not getting to do much at all (like Julius and Ram), and Sphinx really did not match up to the years of build up she had as a threat. However, characters such as Cecilus, Henkel, Al, Yorna, and Priscilla got exceptional moments. It really feels like Arc 8 is the culmination of both all of the strengths and weaknesses Re:Zero currently has. I truly hope that Tappei can properly develop the overreaching consequences of this arc, because I feel that it will be the true "make it or break it" of the series for me. There is so much potential with everything that's been set up, so I want Tappei to not lose sight of things with the current work schedule and continue to deliver on the masterpiece he already has written. Excellent video as always, Asa. You're a treasure to this community.
Disagree with your Sphinx comment She really started an apocalypse, escaped her soul getting burned somehow alive, refuses to die no matter how much she is getting beat up, used multiple super weapons (the core of the crystal palace, the crystal palace Canon, the water sword rain, the that when she dies she explodes, moguro at the end, reflecting the Canon blast, the magic circle that was prevented in the last second, valga cromwell's strategem.....) It's unfortunate that subaru's death count wasn't shown because the last loop alone gave him a huge amount of deaths. She really appeared as an unkillable entity with multiple tactical nuke's at her disposal and only got defeated in the end because Al and Subaru can cheat fate. At least that's what she seemed like to me
@@JB-fd8jy See, I get all that, but I just felt a lot of her potential was underutilized. Her and Roswaal basically got nothing, Wilhelm nor Rom were even there, we barely get anything from Garfiel or Beatrice. For a villain who's worked with, fought against or been related to a lot of characters in Re:Zero, only her dynamic with Priscilla is really explored all that much. That was my main issue with her in the arc. Regarding her as a threat, most of that was lessened by two factors. One, most of the cast being being incredibly strong and capable, to the point where most of them came out of the conflict unscathed (sans Priscilla). Compare that to the injuries a lot of the cast took in Arc 5. Ricardo lost his arm and Crusch can't even walk anymore. Here, basically everyone made it out fine. Two, shifting away from Subaru's POV meant that we did not get to see what things looked like when they went wrong, outside of brief moments with Subaru and Al. Sure, Subaru definitely died a lot, but it's not like we actually got to see that happen. It's a matter of scale, I suppose. Sphinx's deeds were great, but you can't fully comprehend them when the consequence of them isn't properly shown, in my opinion, anyway. Todd feels like a way bigger threat, because we actively see him affecting Subaru and people around him, despite the fact that Todd is not nearly as powerful as Sphinx. Those are my gripes with Sphinx in Arc 8. While I like her enough as she is, she could've been so much more.
The antagonists weren't really weak, you're looking at them through the lens of people like Cecilus and Halibel. The very real threat of the zombie outbreak wasn't the strength of the zombies to begin with, but rather their ties to Muspel, and thus the fate of the empire itself.
@@_NIKOS9_NIKOS Palladio was the Evil Eye dude who was mentioned in Chapter 26 as being the guy who marked Subaru, Vincent, Roswaal, Beatrice, and Ubilk. He reappears in Chapter 61 as the commander of the undead army's attack on Garkla. His death was never confirmed, so it's possible he's survived and will return in a side story.
Damn, this is where not being fully up to date on arc 8 yet caught up to me But well, just another motivation to power through phase 3 as quickly as possible and get to peak
I really agree with the end of the video. Arc 8 is great for what it is. But near the end of the story, i was personally just excited to see the story wrap up and end. I like the character interactions, and I like a lot of the stuff the author did with Subaru. But at the same time, I don’t think I can call this a favorite. It’s good, But personally goes in the middle of my arc rankings.
I would say that my main issue with both arc 7 and 8 is that the cast is just too big, Tappei introduced far too many characters and it is simply impossible to make the reader care about all of them in such a short amount of time, it also doesn't help that many of these characters probably won't appear again in the main story. Still, there were many that i did like, like the Cecilus and Rowan plotline, the little group between Rowan, Heinkel, Al and Groovy was really fun to follow. Al chapters were amazing. But still, i don't believe it is better than either arc 6, nor 4, nor 3, nor 5, at the most i would put both of them below or equal to arc 5 but above 1 and 2. I consider arc 7 and 8 to be the same because they basically follow the same plotline.
@@hyrrs345 Probably just Cecilus though, he's the strongest and the one that likes Subaru the most, Vincent of course would have to return for diplomatic things and all that. The thing is, i already like those characters, it is most of the rest of the cast that i feel neutral or disinterested about.
I would hardly say 13 volumes (which is about 1/3 of the current story) is a “short amount of time”. By the time you get to Arc 8, you already have an idea of which characters you are to focus more on and which not to, especially if certain character arcs ended in Arc 7. As for whether they’ll appear again, due to the alliance between the Emilia camp and Vollachia, the chances of seeing these characters again in the future as part of reinforcements for a greater threat is entirely possible.
I agree with you, but the time isn't that short its just that we already were introduced to characters we care about, so introducing them and writing about Vollachia just seemed like something in the way, but by the end of arc8 I quite enjoyed the arc.
I still hold the belief that this arc not being “planned” had nothing to do with its quality. I really wish RZ fans understood how writing actually works, an entire book can be basically finished but something can added right before its publication and you would never know. In that same vein, Tappei will continue changing and shifting the story because its an ongoing story and people are forever changing. The real reason this arc is a hit or miss for some is because of how controversial it is to what we are used to for RZ. It doesn’t do the conventional things we expect for RZ, so stacking it against the rest of the story will inevitably cause some people to love it or hate it. I personally love it, it was a great experience and I enjoyed arc 8 significantly more than arc 7. The lows in arc 7 were lower for me, arc 8 didn’t have as many low points for me. The start of the arc was the weakest, but the way everything progressed was good if not partially rushed at times. Maybe its better to rate these arcs as one whole, as arc 7 didn’t really feel like it had a thematic conclusion like other arcs. Its just leading up everything to here, its ending wasnt as emotionally cathartic. Although it ended well due to Subaru meeting with everyone again. Arc 8 on the other hand doesn’t have the setup that other arcs had, due to it all being in arc 7. Which is why I think they’re a package and its hard to rate them on their own. I don’t really care too much if they are separated, theres nothing saying arcs cant be combined or rely heavily on one another. Its just one really big arc
things being unplanned is really not an issue, and has led to all kinds of positive things. if i recall, most of wilhelm's character that was visible from arc 3 was unplanned, but he became a fan favorite, with his own trilogy of backstory volumes. it's a weird assumption that unplanned things are inherently bad, when they work out in other stories all the time
Yeh, I mean, Hunter x Hunter is considered one of the best anime/manga out there and it is entirely unplanned, almost the same with Dragon Ball as well
Not all zombies turned instantly good though actually just the minority that was faced with their loved ones, it’s not like they been resurrected out of their free will so in this case it’s fine some of them changed sides imo. It’s not like they just suddenly made sin archbishops fight alongside them in the end those resurrected were just flawed people but they weren’t irredeemable
i never said all zombies turned instantly good. i never said it was bad that they changed sides. i never made any claim about anybody being irredeemable.
@@NL-D96 thats not being defensive. you made a comment saying "not all zombies turned instantly good though", the word though implying youre responding to what i said.
@@AsarathaHSYT well yeah that part of the comment was in direct response but also just sharing my opinion on the matter. Whenever it’s good or bad is subjective anyways
Great discussion video. I agreed with most points and even with the bad parts of this arc, I loved it so much that I didn't mind them! However the secret bad part of arc 8 ending is that we probably won't see Flop and Medium again for a long time
Arc 7 and Arc 8 will always have a special place in my heart for being the Arcs where I joined the fandom and live reading experience Also, being a member sure is useful
Thanks for the warning but I like knowing ahead of time random bits and pieces. Gets me hyped to see the full story come out in the anime eventually. What is it Arc 5 being adapted now... this should be fun.
I love arc 7-8 so much because of subaru's journey and growth. I can't help but admire his new self since being flung to the empire, experiencing all the struggles alone before meeting up with emilia and the others, being a kid, leading the gladiators, befriending the emperor and so much more. Basically being one of the empire's heroes! I can't help but be proud of my man Natsuki Schwartz!
Tbh I figured this was how Sphinx would turn out. If we put all the big setup antagonists we have in the series she's the one with the least stake on the future of the series compared to the likes of Pandora and Capella who just create a singularity of revenge matches and plots by existing, Hector and all the lore he's hiding with the witch hunters, not to mention Omega who is quite literally just the better character in Echidna's immortality project gallery. Aside from those she's only really higher in priority than Sirius who I can't see actually being the main threat of an arc by herself and Roy who's just genuinely not even threatening at this point. And I'm pretty sure this was what Tappei intended in the first place before arc 7 turned into a Vollachia arc and the scope got way bigger, I'm assuming it was just: The Barielle estate with Rem and the Priscilla camp, Sphinx as the main antagonist and zombies for side story characters like Leip or Yae Tenzen. The kid plot point would likely still happen, it would just come from Yae instead of Olbart and I assume Sphinx becoming Echidna and Priscilla herself going zombie before dying was also on the table.
bro I think Al is a clone of Subaru or Flugel if Subaru is flugel. I think Al was someone created to fill the role of the past sage that died. Maybe Subaru is even a clone himself, and he just holds the original soul, unlike Al. Whatever the case is I do think it's related to cloning.
Good point cause didn't echidna make clones of that girl? Rzuzu and she was close to flugel so she could of took some of his DNA and had a failed clone aka al maybe he also has memories of being flugel cause he failed satella and has a off brand return from death
After the first 13 chapters of Arc 9, I have a question. Spoilers ahead obviously: If Al's name is not Al, why is his name on his Book of the Dead still Aldebaran?
Was it ever confirmed that the name on his Book of the Dead was actually "Aldebaran"? He said "my name", but never did the narration say what the name on the book was. Now personally, I think I'm being pedantic here and that the name on his book could have very well been "Aldebaran". That's also not to say that it's impossible Aldebaran's "name", or rather his "identity" according to the world could have made his name change somehow. We've never seen like a case where someone who's married and changes their name dies and receives a Book of the Dead, if the book there will use their "birth name" or their "new name", yet in Felt's case, the world seems to recognize her by her unknown birth name ("??? Luugnica", probably). I don't think it's infeasible for Al, given the unique man he is, to have met the qualifications to change his "name"/"identity" in the eyes of the world to replace a potential "original name" with the name "Aldebaran" if Od Lagna would so allow it.
@@ShadowKoto Hell, you've got me convinced. I'm just champing at the bit for more chapters. It always feels like right when the arc is heating up, Tappei cockblocks us with cliffhangers.
I think arc 8 built up the end game, subaru is once again dealing with his hero complex, we see how al might be what subaru becomes if he doesn't know WHEN to give up and things will change forever for all involved parties
I’d have to reread the entire arc to have a more solidified opinion on where to rank it, but I agree with a lot of what you said throughout the video. Arc 8 has some very high highs and some low lows
And this, my friends, is WHY YOU SHOULDN’T CLICK ON VIDEOS THAT OBVIOUSLY HAVE SPOILERS IN THEM. AND THEN LOOK AT THE COMMENTS AFTER!! WHY!!!??? WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO YOURSELF??? WHY HAVE I ALREADY SEEN ATLEAST 4 PEOPLE COMPLAINING THAT THEY GOT SPOILED AND I’VE LOOKED AT ABOUT 3 COMMENTS AND 1 REPLY SECTION??????????
I had mixed feelings reading Arc 7-8 (it didn't surprise me tho Nagatsuki-sensei confirmed that he didn't have this arc planned), but I honestly have expectations for Arc 9 since in theory it will be a lore arc 🔥
Could you do your reviews of arc 8 I’ve read till the start of arc 7 stopped reading and later found ur reviews letting me know everything without having to read it they’re really high quality and can honestly be substituted for the real thing thanks
in my opinion arc 7 and 8 are good but not as great as other arcs bcoz tappie stated that this arcs are not planned due to this he can't structure this arcs properly but in my opinion arc 7 and 8 are soooooo damn peak
First time I see someone with a ranking that's damn near the same as mine both in phase rankings and overall arc rankings with the slight difference of me having arc 6 slightly above 4 instead of equal.
1:27 i don't remember this illustration, where is it from? It is obviously before Arc 7 and 8, and after 1, 2 and 3 but that's all i can remember. I would appreciate it you can tell me
@@AsarathaHSYT thanks, it is actually more helpful to say volume than phase and arc since they are listed as volumes in the wiki cuz it is LN illustration, so i really appreciate it.
I know you don’t know anything about cecilus so if you want to know mayors about his character you need to read the ex novels the give you more about his character and it also help if you read the wrath if story where he works for purge king Subaru. He the wrath if was what got me into his character and halibel because they both work for the most evil version of Subaru.
Uhhhhhhhhhh, what are you talking about??? He *does* know nearly everything about Cecilus? Asa's read Ex 4, Ex 5, the majority of the Vollachia shop specials with Cecilus in them, and most of the other relevant Vollachia side stories. He's only missing out on Sword Identity, which he'll probably check out sometime in the future, as well as most of the IFs, because he's not interested in them (Minus Rem IF and Kasaneru IF).
@@dilynhoward1088 1: You should have phrased your comment in such a way where you weren't assuming Asa hadn't read them. 2: He has done a video covering Ex 5, among other side stories. It is under the name "The Sun Princess - Re:Zero Priscilla Side Stories: Summary & Analysis".
@@ShadowKoto that video never work for me until now I tried playing it but it was always saying that their was a problem it play for me now so I will watch it
@@ShadowKoto I just got done watching the video and I was just as I thought it only covers ex5 a volume that doesn’t go into the full detail of cecilus and his character we get more of how he is in ex4 but he hasn’t made a video on that novel and in this he ranks that novel as the second best he has read. If he doesn’t like cecilus that is find I’m just saying that the reason he is hyped up so much is because of how his character resonates with other characters and especially Subaru. Literally everyone was hyped up for arc 8 because we had the full wrath trio from a what of where Subaru had both these guys as his right hand men and cecilus willing works well with Subaru. If he makes a video about cecilus I would like that because if I have a better understanding of his point of view I would very much appreciate it
Arc 7 and 8 are wasted potential when it comes to rem and Al Also fk Priscilla. She's toxic and the story never punishes her for that like it does to Subaru or others
Priscilla is not a bad person. She is just annoying as fuck because she is a princess that thinks world is made for her. But i like that part of her character. She doesn't need to be punished. New Rem is infinitely a better character than old Rem. Al's character was also utilized well with his betrayal.
Look I don't like Priscilla, but the side stories make her so much better. And well... story did punish her in the past and finally in Arc 8... Arc 9 is Al's time to shine
@@stevieveringus3857 Story didn't punish her lmao. She literally went down as victorious. Even her death was her winning and world working in her favor. Her literal last words were declaration of victory.
@@Phapchamp That's the punishment meta-wise. Character screentime in a psychological novel like Re:Zero is supposed to be proportional to growth and exploration. Her path is cut off forever. There is no necessity in making righteous/good proportional to less punishment - then Subaru and Crusch paradoxes this sh1t to the distant horizon. The biggest virtue of Priscilla was being honest to herself and that paid off. Edit: Just mentioning, she's got good intuition and all, but world working in her favor is slightly self-copium considering her past.
@@stevieveringus3857 A character's story ending doesn't necessarily mean its a punishment. It just means her story had a closure. And it was one hell of a story and closure. She hasn't done anything wrong to have a punishment.
Arc 7 was decent. I am not gonna say it was bad but it was nothing special. Maybe its because it served as an introduction arc for Vollachia as a whole. In contrast i absolutely loved Arc 8. Stakes were high some fan favorite characters were developed and Vollachia's plot in itself is quite interesting. One thing i didn't like about both of them is how backstories of characters were locked behind limited edition shop specials and things like that. Its like novel edition of DLCs that you cant even buy. Overall Tappei cooked again. Not much to say.
All i wish for are my questions to be answered, like who is flugel, what rule does subaru, Al, clind, or emilie will subaru save satella for here being fated to die like those questions.
hey I have no idea of ARC 8 and I just want to know one thing, One of Ryuzu's is Sphinx and is it a Sin archbishop ? or some Witch Reincarnation type of shit. But if it is a Archbishop I want to know of whitch sin that is
This is going to be a bit long: Sphinx is a clone of Ryuzu that Echida wanted to copy her soul into (in order to effectively revive herself). But the vessel turned out to be too small for her entire soul and thus became an incomplete version of herself. she has some of her personality/knowloedge and some of her power. as an artificial spirit she has to fulfill the purpose she was made for, that purpose being becoming a complete Echidna. artificial spirits can't really exist without a purpose and furthermore not being able to fulfill it causes them a great amount of suffering. The name "Sphinx" (which is a name specifically taken from our world's mythology) was also given to her by Echidna. She came closer to her goal when the soul of "Sphinx" was burnt away by the Yang sword, leaving only the parts that were Echidna behind. Also somewhat related to this: In the epilogue of arc 4 (was cut from season 2) Echidna completely takes over Ryuzu Shiima's body and escapes the sanctuary. She was able to implant herself into Shiima when she ran into the trial to get Garf out of it. Since then Echidna slowly had been taking control over Shiima's body. This time it worked because she left all of her magic power behind, just taking her personality and knowledge with her. Due to the knowledge gained from Subaru's mind she calls herself "Omega" which she learned means "the end". She also carries a magic crystal with all the witches' souls with her.
@@thewildcard600 You misinterpreted what happened to Sphinx. She did not burn the identity of "Sphinx" away, she "completed" her soul and became the "Witch of Greed", avoiding the flame of the Yang Sword as a result. This, however, didn't change the core of her identity as "Sphinx", and the rest of her character arc is about her accepting she cannot become a replacement for Echidna and that she is ultimately her own individual.
I think the next volume already has been scheduled if I recall correctly. Imo it wasn’t as big of a problem this arc and will be even less of a problem the next arc since that one’s already been planned out
Peak video And Peak Arc 🔥 I love Vollachia Arc so MUCH Cecilus is Peak 🔥 And Eugard and Yorna story is one of Best storyline Waht Tappei had made And ther is That Iris King of Throne 🌹 EX Side story its SO Good still we need to Wait Wen it get Translated 🙏🙏
Sorry but as a Priscilla disapprover (do not know well enough to hate; but her first impression was the worst of the candidates; tho Al is cool). I just see her as to arrogant. So I am happy to hear it for now. Tho I do wonder about how the story going forward will be effected.
Also arc 7-8 were written really fast so tappei should've maybe took some time to form the arc into a better msterpiece, even though i dont mind because i feel like arc 9 is going to be incredible only going off of the consequences that will have to be resolved so im VERY excited
@@bryangarcia5207 there's not much you can do to change the overall story and lacing with cleaning up the WN for the LN but they will surely cut some stuff that doesn't really move the story along and slows it down
For me personally arc8 actually has a chance to compete with arc6 for the best arc. Sure it was absolutely not perfect. But after the arc7 buildup i came to quite like a lot of the new characters and we had some really impactful and beautiful chapters be it vincent in early arc, the madelin and balleroy backstories, not to mention the priscilla and al stuff at the end. However what I liked most about this chapter is that we got SO many interesting and huge reveals (some/most came with more questions ^^) that are really relevant for the endgame of re zero. and those mysteries and reveals are always what hype me up the most. thats why in the past arc4 was my favourite since we got the reveal of the books of wisdom, we got to see all of the witches, we had emilias trial and emilias real parents were mentioned, we saw the old witch cult, pandora was revealed and the huge reveal of the seal and its implications. arc6 then went completely nuts with the reveal auf shaula and her relatiionship to "master", the trials, volcanica, the door which need 7 witchfactors to be opened at the location where satella is actually sealed. Now we have arc8 and it doesnt stop. starting with arc7 the observers were revealed which has huge implications, more people know about authorities, spica is in camp subaru now but what are the implications here. what happens if she gets her memories back/reverts to louis? how will it impact their camp if they house an archbishop in their ranks? dragonhusks were revealed and how dragonkin are made which has pretty big implications on volcanica, aldebaran for me was the most interesting character in the series and by god we ate good this arc with him. All of the reveals to his authority, his relationship to subaru and priscilla, reveals that he knew echidna and she was his teacher, the fact that she named him, that subaru failed him and set up an interesting dynamic to be seen if al ends up antagonizing subaru or if they work together when their final goal is the complete opposite (killing vs saving satella). then ofc the implications where this part of the story was the first real time where non antagonistic side characters that were a bit more important died for good and we had the huge final of an actual main character as the candidate to the throne died for good. The only other real character that died for good and was not an antagonist was archi was it not (and he barely got screen time)? in s1 it was all unnamed characters in the whale fight, etc. and if we believe the season 3 theories which seem quite likely fortuna is not dead
These arcs feel shoehorned in the overall story. For me, they felt like mostly filler arc, with important things happening in the final parts of the arcs. These arcs had so much ambition and introduced so many new characters, that it got tiresome, it felt like homework to get through. It got so tiring to read, every second chapter of Arc 7 they'd introduce another 20 new characters. I personally fear for the future of the anime, I don't know how they'll possibly adapt so much content. They'll have to adapt the side stories, the EX novels and the main story, they'll need 40+ episodes for Arc 7 alone!!! And people won't have the patience and willingness to care for all the worldbuilding and all the new characters. That's my opinion at least, Season 3 is gonna be the best, covering arcs 5 and 6, and then Season 4 we'll have Arc 7... it'll be a huge drop in quality. Or rather, in "Re:Zero quality", it's still good, but I'm afraid it's no longer "peak". And I fear that Tappei needs a looooooooong break, his writing needs to be better. Arcs 7 and 8, for me, are good, but not as good as the rest of Re:Zero. And I've watched the Suicide Squad Isekai anime, and my God, it's so bad, I can't believe this trash was written by Tappei, I feel embarrassed watching his name in the credits.
The fallout after this arc are gonna be insane.
-The Emilia and Anastasia camp will have to deal with the fallout of what happened in Vollachia that lead to the death of a candidate.
- Subaru has an entire army
- The Emilia Camp will will have to find a way to justify harboring an archbishop
-Beatrice saw the poison capsule that Subaru had in his mouth and you can bet that she is not gonna just keep quiet about it.
-Subaru might have found a way to heal both the lust and gluttony victims (and Ferris self worth is gonna get nuked)
- Both the lands and members of the Prissila camp are without a ruler
- Garfield might get a new dad and apprentice
And that'd just scratching the surface
Does anyone know Rui is an archbishop though? I only read until like half of Arc 7, so he may've told that everyone later, but if anyone knows anything about Gluttony they know Rai and Roi, not Rui.
@peppermint3808they never really follow Subaru in the first place just an image of the child of Vincent vollachia named Natsumi Schwartz.i still want at least one of them to follow subaru to the kingdom but even that is asking too much
Dont worry Sirius and Roy will deal with that "fallout" 😉😉
Jokes aside
-Yea that will be a huge political crisis. Felt might even use it to her own gains.
-Subaru no longer has an army. He used it to fight the emperor.
-No one knows Spica is Rui. Hell no one knows who Rui is. Except maybe Roy. And i doubt Spica herself remembers who she was.
-Beako saw her self harm scars before too. She probably thinks Subaru is very suicidal. So its obvious she will keep it to herself.
-Al may or may not shoulder Priscilla's wish. I doubt Priscilla camp will just disband.
Wait priscila died or what
For me, Arcs 7-8 aren't perfect, but I can't help but admire the level of ambition on display.
Aldebaran is now cooked (traumatized) beyond fixation
I personally enjoyed the arc 8 fights way more than arc 5 and due to already dead characters returning the vollachia cast either got closure they needed or in Madelyns case was forced to come to terms with the fact that Balleroy is dead. I don’t really mind that Anastasia and Julius didn’t really do anything besides bringing Halibel in since it’s a Vollachia focused arc I don’t think it would’ve added anything if they were more active after randomly popping up with no buildup
Oh no, they *did* have buildup, it was just exclusive to the side stories.
@@ShadowKotoyeah I know haha speaking purely out of the perspective of the main story
ReZero (fiction) will never be the same to me due to Arc 8, this shit is peak man🚬
Official illustrations might be mediocre, but fan made ones shown on WCT page made my imagination run wild during this arc. I wish illustrator could look at some of them and remade them into official ones.
Great video I agree with you with most of this but I personally like phase 3 because I loved the Al, Rowan, Cecilus, Heinkel, and Groovy dynamic
I also want to make it clear that its "low" for rezero arcs, and low for rezero arcs is like... still pretty good 😭
@@AsarathaHSYT The bottom of S tier is still S tier after all.
Disagree with your Sphinx comment
She really started an apocalypse, escaped her soul getting burned somehow alive, refuses to die no matter how much she is getting beat up, used multiple super weapons (the core of the crystal palace, the crystal palace Canon, the water sword rain, the that when she dies she explodes, moguro at the end, reflecting the Canon blast, the magic circle that was prevented in the last second, valga cromwell's strategem.....)
It's unfortunate that subaru's death count wasn't shown because the last loop alone gave him a huge amount of deaths.
14:26 moment when re:zero fans collectively forgot Palladio exisyed after that 1 chapter he appears 💀
Only real ones never forgot Palladio, bro's one of the only three zombies who may or may not have survived the Great Disaster.

@@_NIKOS9_NIKOS Palladio was the Evil Eye dude who was mentioned in Chapter 26 as being the guy who marked Subaru, Vincent, Roswaal, Beatrice, and Ubilk.
Vollachia Character Will Return Last ARC Help Subaru Last BIG Battle 🔥
@@hyrrs345 Probably just Cecilus though, he's the strongest and the one that likes Subaru the most, Vincent of course would have to return for diplomatic things and all that. The thing is, i already like those characters, it is most of the rest of the cast that i feel neutral or disinterested about.
@@radicandojuarez7611 I Hope All Character Return I love every Character Madelyn Will Return Garfiel did want to TALK to HIM 🔥
I would hardly say 13 volumes (which is about 1/3 of the current story) is a “short amount of time”.

I will come back to this video another day as I’m not finished with the last phase. But boosting for the algorithm
Yorna: I am no longer the little girl I once was.
Eugard: Yes you are.
Yorna: Ok Daddy!
The ending of arc 8 was so good that it made me forget about any of the flaws
I'm still on arc 6, but liking this video and letting it play for the algo!
We need an emilia arc and lore drops in arc 9 would love to see crush sama and the gang becoming relevant again
bro I think Al is a clone of Subaru or Flugel if Subaru is flugel.
Spoilers ahead obviously:
If Al's name is not Al, why is his name on his Book of the Dead still Aldebaran?

New Rem is infinitely a better character than old Rem. Al's character was also utilized well with his betrayal.

@@stevieveringus3857 Story didn't punish her lmao. She literally went down as victorious. Even her death was her winning and world working in her favor. Her literal last words were declaration of victory.

hey I have no idea of ARC 8 and I just want to know one thing, One of Ryuzu's is Sphinx and is it a Sin archbishop ? or some Witch Reincarnation type of shit. But if it is a Archbishop I want to know of whitch sin that is
no
This is going to be a bit long:
Sphinx is a clone of Ryuzu that Echida wanted to copy her soul into (in order to effectively revive herself).
Also somewhat related to this:
In the epilogue of arc 4 (was cut from season 2) Echidna completely takes over Ryuzu Shiima's body and escapes the sanctuary.
