The aura part probably depends on the non witch factor abilities. Since Echidna was a talented magic user she definitely has a great aura even without a witch factor.
20:26 - 20:51 Wasn’t it confirmed at the beginning of arc 7 that the reason the curse didn’t affect Subaru is because of the other curses that were planted on him during arc 2? Edit: I found it. It’s in arc 7 chapter 12. I also found something else: >Q: Was it curses? Was it sorcery (note: more literally ‘curse arts’)? Although recently magic has been catching all the attention, there was something like that, but will it not show up again? I liked it quite a bit. >A: A curse user will show up all in good time, don’t worry. There’s a reason that the curses remained in Subaru’s body.(July 28, 2014 arc4).(note: it was capella) This is from a QnA that I found.
2:40 Reinhardt also has a defective gate(from birth I guess), similar to Subaru, the difference being his gate is not damaged but can take in as much mana as possible, it's indestructible from overload, probably because of the Sword Saint blessing(he got it when he was around 10, so idk how he survived that long), anyway, the accumulated mana is then converted into this flow state which drastically increases Reinhardts' physical prowess, not to mention, his gate absorbs mana at a much faster rate, so much so that no mage can cast any spells because of the lack of mana in the atmosphere, the radius is also pretty big, so Betty claimed she will be useless if she were to join the fight with him around. Even his defective gate adds to his strengths, and this defect has made him possibly the strongest Sword Saint title holder in terms of Raw strength, possibly even more than Reid, the first Sword Saint. Though he claims he hasn't made any accomplishments worthy of his title yet. In a nutshell, Reinhardt is Him, and for a good reason.
Reinhard's Divine Protections and his Excess Mana Circulation Constitution are already planned as subjects that will be described in the next video of this series.
I find it absurd that Echidna was able to casually cast a spell that made the stars fall. Has to be the most insane feat I’ve seen in ReZero so far. W video, can’t wait for the next video where you describe all of Reinhard’s Divine Protections lol.
Also worth mentioning that " Stars " in the ReZero world my not have the same Physical Proerties as our world, outer space may even function differently

Very good video! Nice to see appreciation for Re:Zero's intricate worldbuilding like this :) Only mistake I caught was in the Flow Method section, specifically in regards to Auras, the description of aura killing people sounds like it was from The Witch's After Tea Party. This wasn't aura born from fighting spirit that killed the men, but rather the insanity-inducing effect of Omega's Witch Miasma. Although, Reid has shown that fighting spirit aura can also just kill people.
It seems like the version of the side story that was sourced from mistranslated a section and failed to include the mention of miasma, thus creating a mistake in Asa's understanding because the higher quality translation was not where the information was sourced from. It has since been noted.
Something to point out is that a gate almost works like your heart valves… your hearts has valves where it pumps out but also takes in blood. and characters with defective gates cant do one, or both. Anastasia, from my understanding, cant take in but can expel mana from her gate/od. Subaru, cannot naturally expel mana but he can take in mana which leads to mana poisoning this is also supported by the fact that anastasia is described as having mana deficiency. so this analogy means that mana like blood in your body, a gate works like your veins and arteries and valves of your heart, taking in and expelling blood/man. and an od is similar to your heart. the only difference is the od doesn’t seem to generate mana but is the core of a person made from mana that is someones life force. your heart generates blood, but maybe the od does actually create mana for the body to use. we just dont know it yet. it also works similarly to your stomach, if you haven’t eaten in some time, your stomach starts to eat itself. in a similar way, when you run out of mana, your gate forcefully eats away at your od. so i guess it works like multiple different organs of the body so my theory is that a gate takes in mana from the atmosphere, its converted into mana that the body can use, and is stored there. the amount stored, like you said, differs among whoever the person is. but the only issue is subaru actually having a gate. if its an organ the people of the world of re zero have, its kinda weird that subaru has a gate. i wonder if its artificial in some way
Just to clarify, if I remember correctly, Yin magic relies on the concept of separation. Shamac initially separates the target from their senses, but at a high level, can separate them from reality itself.

2 is mostly because Magic users are very rare in Re:Zero universe, average human can't use it. Meanwhile any random people can get Divine Protections because Od Laguna grants them. But extremely rare people like Roswaal created Flight or Julius which own style and such.
@@user-lh5my4ws8j this is not accurate. Magic users may not include a huge percentage of the population but they are also not rare especially not in Luginica. @@ShadowKotowhat about the magic that is used for creating spirits? It was briefly talked about in one of the most recent side stories. I think it was Ezzo upon seeing the artificial spirits that look like birds.

It comes from the JP term 輝石, which can be interpreted as "pyroxene", but a better translation/localization for it would be "glintstone". The "crystal" part of the term was something that was mistakenly added on by the Re:Zero Wiki and it sadly stuck in the community for years. As far as I know now, the "crystal" part of the term that had never been used in the source text of the story was removed, and the Wiki now uses "glintstone" to describe the objects in question.
There is huge problem with video, you skipped Authority and Divine Protections which is key factor of Arc 5.
Edit: Nevermind you will make video about them but i expected them to be in this video instead splitting.
i dont understand what power being the Archbishop of sins give you
you get a witch factor
They're given an authority.
Most Authorities will be covered in the next part, with one exception, as the SS it's in has not been translated yet and it will not be able to release in time before Asa's next video in this series drops.
Isn't there also Dream Magic?
You're thinking of dream arts. They are going to be briefly covered in a later video discussing the miscellaneous subjects of the power system.
@@ShadowKotowhat about the magic that is used for creating spirits? It was briefly talked about in one of the most recent side stories. I think it was Ezzo upon seeing the artificial spirits that look like birds.
Would you suggest that Subaru is also a cursed doll? Bcoz he can't die unless he's satisfied with his ending
Like in pride: IF
Maybe dont put season 3 stuff in the first seconds of ur video, people want to not see too much of the trailer and stay in the dark.
I really think the power system in re zero is poorly explained and makes little to no sense sometimes
Like how roswaal was able to miss with the contract between puck and emilia or force one on Subaru during arc4
Or how olbart's ability has nothing to do with magic
Or how the author introduces new races
Or how physical strength and experience works
For example Wilhelm is strong due to experience and training meanwhile Al is much weaker than Julius despite having the former's age as experience (18 years)
It's simply a difference of talent. No matter how long Al or subaru train, they can't match the strength of someone who is from the world of rezero and is talented.
Shinobi arts are different from magic. They're the kind of powers devised by aberrants.
@@ShadowKoto
How exactly are they different?
@@bandarsalh1338 That's basically all that was said about them. They are different techniques developed by deviants.
@@ShadowKoto
The power system is poorly explained
Even if the story isn't a shonen it's still one of the flaws in the story
It doesn't bother to explain anything to you and the author just comes up with whatever power he wants and says it's magic
but how does the power system of Re zero explain Emilia having bigger boobs
