Since they don’t have any concept of that sortve in depth understanding of psychology, they probably assume his bouts of madness are from exposure to a Witch influence at some point in his past. The only one who’d immediately spot the truth behind his behavior is Puck, but given he’s probably another of the Original Subaru’s creations, he likely already knows the truth.

I found similar video last year or so and it's crazy to think how quick event's in Re:Zero are because he goes back in time again and again it feels to us like he suffers for weeks but from outside perspective it's even more mind blowing: Some random punk comes out of nowhere, with the hero Saint Sword, to safe your ass, almost dies, you save him, but he reeks of the witch, then he wakes up asks to work there, already knows where everything is and who everyone is, saves the village, make one of the maids to fall in love with him and then goes to court and makes ass from himself and you in front of everybody. And argues with you. And you leave him for good... And then he comes with freaking army of your rivals back to you and saves your mension from cultists attacks again, AFTER he killed a white whale Elder ring boss, apparently.

I read his outburst less as him being stupid or entitled, and more like he’s terrified, his abandonment issues are on full display and he’s mentally just fucked. He’s also literally 17. I’m not saying he was right or that he didn’t break Emilia’s trust, but it’s a very important moment for his development, he needs to be shown that his actions actually do have consequences that he can’t just undo, which he has been doing so far with RbD. Anyways tldr, yes the start of arc 3 is hard to sit through, but it’s a very necessary step in his growth
