If this game remade with octopath traveler treatment, than it will be a dream come true.
I fall in love with the Soundtrack
if you use ryu's kaiser form you can form the final bosses moves castrophe, earthbreaker, and supernova. The only one that you can't use mjounir. Cause kaiser doesn't learn the level 3 ice based magic, unlike fou-lou if you had him on the team you can use mjounir.

I love a good rpg with a nice story, Final Fantasy Tactics, Legend of Dragoon, the Warcraft series. Man, i wish there where more games likes those.
Breath of Fire IV is a good game, average story and with bad ending.
i take this not for the secret combos but for the music! i love this song and of course this is the best breath of fire.
@Aurongroove For me personally, it's Genes vs Combos, it's Youth vs Duty, and Peco vs Fou Lu. The games are totally on par with each other as far as I'm concerned... but being able to chop/headbutt in 8 directions instead of just 4 is pretty nice.

Shure DQ is not as good as this one but i don't think that it was a disappointment. I played it about 6 times and I loved it. but I think its just much to short :D

BoF3 definatly, the story feels as though it is more encompassing, and complete because you're with the heros for a incredibly long span of their time. I reckon if they extended the Fou Lu sections to feel more like a full second story, with some decent battles then it might've made up for or indeed surpassed the young ryu/old ryu feature of BoF3. A lot of the mini games BoF4 and the "pillar to post" errands between dungeons feel awfully like filler, but on BoF 3 less so

FF is awesome, I love it, but I don't think that any FF is better than BoF IV.
I could say that FF is as good as BoF.
Chrono Trigger / Chrono Cross are almost better than BoF, but I still think that they are as good as BoF

Breath of fire iv isin't even the greatest Breath of Fire ever made. Still, a very good game and one which shouldn't be ignored becasue of it;s (lovely IMO) pixelated 2D graphics.
Clearly you don't like games with a well written story, awesome animations and incredible complexity. Show me a better RPG than BoF, I dare you!

Also, wow you just mentioned religion 'first', therefore if this turns into an argument, you're who 'started' it. I'm going to throw my opinion out there & mention Christianity is based on a book, humans can write books & nobody has any proof of whether it was written as true historical events or just a fairytale, religion is based on pure 'faith'.
