Bruh, in his interview, Jojo admitted he had to do the same thing.. His fitness, diet. He had to build himself up to play this style. Mayer and Spaven are my current gurus.
Hah! Who needs 2 bass drums ? Doesn't need them. That's really the best bass drum footwork I've ever seen/heard. It's mesmerizing. A living rhythm machine. Very original, fascinating, and precise.

I think it's bad musicianship to give your bassist the idea that he should come in and then shake your head at him.... Better showmanship to go with the flow and make lemonade . Sorry Jojo

I’m not a fan of JOKO( perce) not to take anything away because he’s brilliant, the effects he had going through the 🎤 was very clever it was effectively adding off time extra chops into his pattern, I love it when he does drum n bass type beats he’s a master at them .
Luke Holland doesnt come from mastering every genre for the last 40 years. I dont think young guys will have the luxury of such a diverse background like be bop,metal, rock, big band. Ive seen them all and Jojo is one of the greats. Not many people incorporate such a deep bag of knowledge and make it flow effortlessly. Hes still evolving. This was one of the best displays of drumming Ive ever seen.

While Luke Holland is petty good there is absolutely no comparison when it come to skill, artistry, sophistication, musicality, techniques and pure drumming between the. While Jojo is much older than Luke and has essentially a lifetime of experience compares to Luke, Luke doesn’t have the same type of artist way of thinking/perceptions that Jojo views things where as Luke is a “drummer” and not much more else and plays basically the same way all the time without much variation. The same chops, chops, chops, fills stuff with little musicality and melody, his solo are quite boring and don’t hold any attention.
