I remember having so much fun here. Anticipated it for miles as the billboards went by. They advertised the best water. Not sure if they still do. Such a neat place. What great memories. 😃
Grandma use to tell us about the sand storms. Even with shutters it would come in the house. During the winter they made tunnels to go to school. Lots of snow. Nice video. Been to Wall a few times and it keeps growing.
Another great video! The Bad Lands were so cool! The Wall Drug was interesting but I agree with you! Run!! lol! Thanks so much for sharing all!! Stay safe!!And Happy trails to you!!!
My wife and I just did South Dakota coast to coast plus a little Wyoming. We were about 1 week ahead of you Russ. You crack us up and we laugh our asses off listening to you. We'd love to cross paths with you somewhere. Thanks for the videos.
We Love RVerTV - Grand Journey Thru United States America - Grand Videos - Grand Music. Russ Too Cool 4 School. Happy Trails - U.S.A. - Russ - RVerTV Fans. Thank you Russ.
🙋♀️Hello Russ! Enjoyed seeing Wall Drugs! A little bit of everything. Good to see someone still sold the Black Gold Jewelry. Most people go to Walmarts to see their neighbor. I guess if you live here, you go to Wall Drugs to see your neighbor. It was a really nice day to visit Wall, South Dakota. From the aerial view, Wall Drugs just about is the town. Honestly, this was the biggest drug store I've ever seen. Amazing! 👍
Went through there many, many years ago. We had never heard of Wall Drug but after seeing all the billboard signs along the way, we decided to stop. So glad we did. It was the first time I had a Buffalo burger. Love it! Thanks for the video.
What a great video. You going into walls drugs brought back memories from when my family and I went to Rapud city to visit my brother in the air force. We saw Mount Rushmore on our way back home to Texas we stopped into Walls drugs. Not sure where my dad parked our 5th wheel RV We had stopped at corn palace but not sure where it’s is located. I also remember driving past the badlands as well. Thanks for the Video and the memories
Just found your channel a few days ago . It is fun to watch your videos of places I have been years ago . The homestead was especially good . When we were there the blacktop walkway was brand new and there was a root cellar right next to the house , you could walk down into it and feel the cool .
I did most of South Dakota with a group of Boy Scouts and Explorer Scouts, Great Rivers Council from Moberly Missouri in the Summer of 1960. We were on our way by bus to the 50th BSA Nacional Jamboree, in Colorado Springs! We covered most places in southern South Dakota from Sioux Falls to Rapids City and Mount Rushmore before heading South to Colorado Springs! Thanks for sharing! DB
Thanks for sharing this great video. My last trip to Badlands was brief, and didn’t get a chance to cruise over to this wonderful town. Definitely will visit next time!!
I had just met my soon to be wife and we had driven from Texas straight through Wall and onto North Dakota nonstop to see her family. When we got to Wall I was so freaking tired I barely remember the shops but I do remember the dinosaur. Then I found out my father in law took some of the original postcard photos that are still advertised for wall. I know thrilling story
If you head east on Interstate 94 towards Fargo can you drive through Valley City? Place of my birth (1952), apparently has a 'highline' bridge that's a gem.
I LOVE your videos.. and of South Dakota... and have lived here for years...but Wall, South Dakota... It's a stop everyone should make "ONE TIME ONLY"... :)
I thought I’d let you know Russ that this year‘s vacation got called off because of the smoke hopefully none of your vacations will be delayed because of all the fires on the West Coast. So I’m using your video library to do research as to where to stop on my way planned vacation because of all these fires in California hopefully your trips going good have a good day bye-bye
I was a young girl first time we drove through here that was over 70 years ago. But it was the only thing out in this prairie and not nearly as big as now. But we saw ads for it on the side of the road hundreds of miles before we got to it.
My fiance and I are working at wall drug for the summer. We are work campers from Maine..It would have be awesome to meet you . Enjoy your trip to North Dakota.
All those buffaloes running around and no good shots of the buffalo gals? :):) Great video!! Remember going there back in the early '60's with my parents. Hot then too.
Sure didn't look like this in 1959, lol. I was 4. I remember gravel, and the buildings separated. The musical display had bleachers in front of it and the song playing was "Waterloo". I was facinated.
The Buffalo Burger is pretty tasty. I bought a Jack-a-lope tee for my hubby one of the last times we were through. Tourist place all the way but it is fun!
When you head south you should check out Bennett Spring State Park in Lebanon Missouri. Many people from all over come to fish there! Even from Ireland!! There is camping but you need to call ahead to reserve a spot. Check it out!!
I.went on a tour of Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. It was sad but there was some nice areas within. Badlands or Mako Sica. People were very kind though. Visited Wounded Knee which the site had many objects placed on the graves.
I have been to Wall Drug at least a dozen times starting way back in the 50's with my parents. They used to get crowds of people stopping there by offering free ice for your ice chests. Was there in 2019 and they no longer offer free ice.
Wall South Dakota.what a hoot at Wall drugs....all kinds of paraphernalia....and those silos for what's and grains for bread making etc. Yes this kid is a Prairie dog. I was born in Manitoba in 1944 right above good old South Dakota..there is piles of history wit South Dakota and the Metis too.....History does it ever stop. Even that dinosaur smiling at you with those big teeth, getting ready for snacks....Lol! Do you ever wonder what it must gave been like back tgen? Wow. The badlands alright. It is the landbof extremes...icy cold winters and boiling hot summers, and dinosaurs and Prairie dogs....plus wicked tornadoes.... well thank you so much for my ride of sanity....keep on trucking. That virus is bad Russ. Be careful out there....speak later Carolyn from Canada...
There is free camping in the designated areas in the Badlands for tent camping and a buffalo herd will come through your camp before sunrise. I had the pleasure. Zero facilities, with zero cost.
There is an actual drug store at Wall Drug. I needed to obtain some over the counter stomach medication and these folks were a lifesaver. Friendly staff.
I'd be shopping at least for key chain replacement. Last one was HD from McGuire's. Guessing it was a lost cause trying to rush around to befriend a fox out for a run.
You never tell much history about places, like why Wall drugs is even there, why the building at the missile site looks like a ranch house, there is great history for both.
Wall is OK. If you haven’t been there before it’s worth a stop. After that you can easily do without it. But when you do stop, at least get a cup of “ice water” so you can at least say you got it. …….by the way, it’s not ice water, just water from a cart hooked up to a spigot, not very cold!
You mean 5 cents? Also, if you get a to go cup, it's 50 cents for a small, and a large get to go is a dollar. Still fairly cheap compared to coffee you get in other restaurants and convenient stores.
Wall drug in my opinion has a nice restaurant, attractions and some nice shops. But it's so over crowded with tourists in the summer. We like to go there occasionally when it's less crowded, like in the Spring and Fall, and I like to get myself coffee, and one of the big cookies when we're there. And there's a couple of times we ate at the restaurant. We don't usually buy much in the shops. And we don't go to wall drug very often. I agree, the badlands are the highlight of Wall. I also love the blackhills. I love the scenery of South Dakota.
I remember having so much fun here. Anticipated it for miles as the billboards went by. They advertised the best water. Not sure if they still do. Such a neat place. What great memories. 😃
My favorite place to visit in the USA. The best place. Very eccelectic and western.
Grandma use to tell us about the sand storms. Even with shutters it would come in the house. During the winter they made tunnels to go to school. Lots of snow. Nice video. Been to Wall a few times and it keeps growing.
A fun and worthwhile stop, stroll, and then roll. Touristy but in a fun no pressure way. Thanks Russ
Another great video! The Bad Lands were so cool! The Wall Drug was interesting but I agree with you! Run!! lol! Thanks so much for sharing all!! Stay safe!!And Happy trails to you!!!

We love Wall; a trip out West just wouldn't be the same without stopping here, it never gets old...😀
I was there when it was one small store!! In the 1950s!!
Wall Drugs is fun to visit!
Didn't know south Dakota looked so beautiful:)
Great videos of South Dakota. So much to see in this great state. Now on to N Dakota to see what you can get into. Thanks Russ!

@rRVertv. I had to edit my comment. iPhone auto corrected walls to walls. Grr. It deleted your heart on it
Well done Russ! loved it!!!!!!!
My wife and I really enjoy watching your videos.

Did you get your "Free glass of ice water" at Wall Drug? I remember many billboards advertising it. Great tour this year.👍👍🙋♂️
Don't forget your 5¢ coffee

We had a nice lunch there back in 1999. Yes it was hot there !
Love the old photos on the wall.

I think they're receiving more rain in Arizona this year. Yay!
Wall Drug and the bucket list grows
Even a Wall Drug sign in Antarctica that says free ice water & 9,333 miles. Nice video Russ, are you able to make the Wounded Knee Museum ?
🇺🇲👍🏼😎👍🏼🌴🚐🏜 Thanks Russ for the grand tour I'm glad you do it for us so I don't have too. Don't personally like be around lots of people Thanks again
Your channel is wonderful.
If you're near Montana you should check out Little Bighorn Battlefield. On I-90 in Crow Agency, Montana.
Cool place, love poking around places like that. 👍👍
Thanks.

We like that you have the same background music in all your videos. We know it's you.
My fiance and I are working at wall drug for the summer. We are work campers from Maine..It would have be awesome to meet you . Enjoy your trip to North Dakota.
Love to have seen a scan of all the license plates at Wall Drug.
All those buffaloes running around and no good shots of the buffalo gals? :):) Great video!! Remember going there back in the early '60's with my parents. Hot then too.
We stayed at the RV Park you mentioned in the video! Then just walked to Wall Drug.
It's nice but you Thursday for me too many people have fun up in North Dakota love it up there
There is quite a science behind the different species of grasses and soil types they flourish in.
Sure didn't look like this in 1959, lol. I was 4. I remember gravel, and the buildings separated. The musical display had bleachers in front of it and the song playing was "Waterloo". I was facinated.

Did they have any of that wild weed showcased? or how about some of that fun lighting up grass?....lol
I was wondering if they grew that Dakota kush
Wall Drug is to South Dakota as South of the Border is to North Carolina. (Tourists beware)
I have been to Wall Drug at least a dozen times starting way back in the 50's with my parents. They used to get crowds of people stopping there by offering free ice for your ice chests. Was there in 2019 and they no longer offer free ice.
Looks like its well maintained I'd go in
Russ, would you state their rates, the computer page gives all info but rates. I understand they may change but I'ld like a starting figure Thanks
Great video, I don't know anyone the videoed the whole inside.
Thanks for braving the crowds to show us the inside. I don’t blame you for getting out fast. Is Wall where that Brontosaurus lives just off I-90?
Wall Drug looks like any tourist trap. I bet they employ a lot of people who live around Wall, SD
Wall South Dakota.what a hoot at Wall drugs....all kinds of paraphernalia....and those silos for what's and grains for bread making etc. Yes this kid is a Prairie dog. I'd love to go. Actually they're a lot hotter up there than the high desert sw right now with monsoons.
There is free camping in the designated areas in the Badlands for tent camping and a buffalo herd will come through your camp before sunrise. I had the pleasure. Zero facilities, with zero cost.
I love SD 🇺🇸
That's a most impressive awning on the Drug Store building.
Grown considerably since 1977 and more commercialization!
I would never have thought that great "wall" would be in such a sparse-looking town. Books and their covers, I guess....
Hey Russ!!! "IF" "WALL DRUG" doesn't have it... "YOU" "DON'T " need it!!! Be Safe!!!
Did ya'buy any black hills 💰?Thanx Russ.
There is an actual drug store at Wall Drug. I needed to obtain some over the counter stomach medication and these folks were a lifesaver. Friendly staff.
We were there last July
good video
don't pass up the Air And Space Museum at my base, Ellsworth Air Force Base. it's just outside Rapid City.
❤❤❤
Curious to see if the 5 cent coffee is still there.....
I'd be shopping at least for key chain replacement. Last one was HD from McGuire's. Guessing it was a lost cause trying to rush around to befriend a fox out for a run.
You should get another companion to go on these trips with.. It's just not the same traveling alone..
👍👍 Sturgis was cool. Wall is cool too. Need to check out both towns.
👍👍😊
My wife worked there as summer help while she went to college
You never tell much history about places, like why Wall drugs is even there, why the building at the missile site looks like a ranch house, there is great history for both.
Give us the stories please!
I encourage you to raise awareness on Organized Stalking and Harassment.
Did you get to see the T-Rex display?2💥👍
Check out my fireside video and let me know what you think. Good or BAD.

Seems like a lot of history in Wall. It's great they seem to bring a lot of money to the town. Silly question but is there a actual pharmacy ? 😂
Not a tourist trap
They got more signs than See Rock City
I live in wall
Hope you got your 25¢ coffee at Wall Drugs...😃
You mean 5 cents?
Also, if you get a to go cup, it's 50 cents for a small, and a large get to go is a dollar. Still fairly cheap compared to coffee you get in other restaurants and convenient stores.
My wife and I loved the Badlands, but Wall Drugs is an overhyped tourist trap and in our opinion should be avoided.
A once in a lifetime event, live a little.
Wall drug in my opinion has a nice restaurant, attractions and some nice shops. But it's so over crowded with tourists in the summer. Bigfoot and Happy Grass lol
Tourist trap, but they had some high products .
Buffalo burgers are tasty.
Wall Drug was definitely a tourist trap.
