    I actually read alot of interesting books in my free time and I think it really helped as I would download the book and when ever I don't know what a word is I would highlight it and there would be a dictionary that would tell me the meaning of the word, I think this was way better than scrolling on tiktok all day in exam season

    Amazing video! You never fail to deliver with this revision guidance. Although GCSEs are a thing of the past for me now I strongly support these tips having obliviously used quite a few of them myself. I would add by recommending reading as something students should try and do for at least 10 minutes per day because it is a flawless way of increasing the breadth of your vocabulary that you can easily apply to any paper without that foreboding sense of stress for revision. Not that this should replace your revision completely but I think it of great significance to do this and then try and incorporate new knowledge of vocab in exam conditions. As it comes closer to the exams something I found really useful was doing as many papers as possible including the day before the real GCSE exam and emailing teachers etc. to provide constructive feedback and acting on that straight away! Keep up the good work Abdullah and congrats on the two grade 9s 🥶

    • @wolfeditz_halaleditz4080
      @wolfeditz_halaleditz4080 7 місяців тому

      Chatgpt is really bad for English because the answers won’t match the markscheme
      For poetry just revise using the poetry revision guide and online resources, this could something like finding an essay and then changing them to match ur theme.

    • @Marypoppy-bee
      @Marypoppy-bee 7 місяців тому

      @@wolfeditz_halaleditz4080 oh ok thanks 😊 but how did you prepare for question 5. Also can you take the books and poetry into the exam

    • @wolfeditz_halaleditz4080
      @wolfeditz_halaleditz4080 7 місяців тому

      @@Marypoppy-bee for q5 I just learnt a lot of different vocabulary and I pretty much just wrote a few descriptive pieces. I also watched mr everything English’s stream and he rly helped, apart from that I just focused on my other questions. And also you can’t bring the poetry into the exam you have to learn a few from each one. If you’re in year 10 dw cause you’ll be familiar by year 11. If you’re in year 11 make sure you start by learning the key idea of each poem and learn a few quotes from each on in detail. You should write a few essays and give them to ur teacher as well. Hope that helps!

  • @Readwithmiaaa
    @Readwithmiaaa 3 місяці тому +1

    TIPS:
    1.Read grade nine analysis’s and compare to your work. Take note of language, structure etc
    2. Weekly practise. You can have it marked by chatGPT, who will tell you what to improve on
    3. Be different - Use different analysis’, Language and structure of the question. Examiners will be impressed
    4. Knowunity - App on your phone which is similar to tiktok, but has revision notes, group chats about revision, subject specific help and more! Has all the lessons, NOT just English!
    5. Memorise 10 quotes - Find ten quotes that can be used for almost everything question! (mr everything English)
    6. ENGLISH LANGUAGE- Structure, timing, Smashing Question five - Q5 makes up so many of your marks. If you can get super high marks on these questions, you will ace the rest of your paper. Find a structure that works for you, and work on your timing to avoid missing out/running out of time.
