  • The Rubber Band Method is PERFECT for all types of individual braids and twists such as; Box Braids, Senegalese Twists, Jumbo Braids, Passion Twists, Spring Twists and the list goes on!
You only need a few hair products to part your hair in preparation for your hairstyle such as; Rat Tail Parting Comb, Elastic Rubber Bands, Hair Gel or Edge Control, Wide Tooth Comb, Shower Detangling Hair Brush, Hair Growth Oil
To prepare your hair for easy parting and styling, make sure to blow out your hair with a blow dryer so that your roots are very easy to part through with your comb.
Next, add hair growth oil to your edges before you begin to help add strength to your hair before you begin adding rubber bands to your hair.
Then part your hair from the back to the front going in a slightly curved pattern so that your braids will lay flat naturally around your head without sticking out.
Use edge control or strong hair gel to smooth down your squared sections before adding an elastic rubber band.
Smooth down the ends of your hair with hair gel or edge control so that your hair won’t stick out of your braids or twists, this helps prevent fly away hairs!

What I love about your videos..is your honesty. Most ppl don't talk about their hair struggles❤💯. I also find it easier for me to braid my hair after blow drying. I just dry it enough to do a blow out..maybe because I don't do the rubber method on my own head. But this method is quick on my daughter's head with PASSION twist..thank you🥰

I've heard a lot of things about rubber bands and how bad they are for your hair so I tried elastic bands on my daughter but they break so easily I've never heard that rubber bands break easier then elastic and I've never experienced elastic breaking horribly and maybe it's because the type of elastic bands that I bought so what brand would you suggest because after the experience with me beadingmy daughter's hair and securing them with elastic and them falling apart a few minutes later I went back to rubber bands 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hi,it looks amazing.Could I just ask...I am actually white,so it may be silly question...what is the reason for the use of the net? (My husband is Kenyan and we have three daughters together, so I had to teach my self how to do their hair).thanks

Can you do a tutorial using the rubberbands for twa? I mostly interested in blending in my twist. Thank you.

Awe, thank you for responding; I feel special..lol. Ms. Breanna, I've seen the video on using and parting with rubberbands. Perhaps I should have been more specific in my request. I recently watched a video watching a rubberband technique being used on extremely short hair, however, the blending method was not clear. You, on the other hand, are very clear, when explaining how to. Please make a video, even if you have to use a short afo wig 😅♥️
