Watched this video and decided to try my luck. Took me 5 hours, used 3 packs and it came out beautifully. Saved a good $200 by just doing it myself. ❤

Me too. I learned how to braid during the pandemic now I don't even need to go to a salon and I can do my hair my way. I hated when you have to constantly remind the stylist on the style you want.

So I saw your video last night and decided to try it on my daughters hair today. Best tutorial ever!!!!! It was so easy to follow and I rocked my daughters hair. I took her to get the same style done back in June and paid $150. I did the same style today and it only cost me $30 ($10 per pack and I used 3 packs)
The cost of getting hair and nails done is so much now. I am so thankful to these UA-cam video's. You daughters can get that styled 5 times for the salon price of just getting it done once.
Good for you. I’m also going to try it. They’re charging $250 for that same style.

Such a cute style. Love the rubber band method. A tip if you can’t get your braids at the beginning to be as tight as hers or have trouble doing that method you can also use a crochet needle and crochet the hair behind the rubber band and then just start twisting down. I can’t ever get my braids tight at the root and this trick helped me.

I wish I knew this a month ago. I crochet some curly rasti hair and my scalp was so irritated and I broke out with bumps all in the back of my head. It was the first time I got a reaction from weave hair.

@@BiancaMH better for your health because the bumps, itching, & rashes are really a mild to moderate allergic reaction to the alkaline base coating on braiding hair. Soaking it removes the chemicals & unnecessary irritation to your skin and scalp. Plus there’s always the possibility of your reaction to it escalating with continued use.
I learned to wash the hair from YT videos where I saw bugs in the hair pkgs! That hair is made overseas & with shipping & sitting in warehouses it could have germs galore!
y’all she was not playing about cleaning ur hair, this style lasted me two days before i had a whole reaction and now i have to redo it 😩 follow directions yall 😭😭

This is the FIRST passion twist tutorial I can understand and ready to try! She makes it look so flawless and easy to understand. I would say to Deep Condition your hair before doing this and any protective styles with synthetic or real store bought hair to strengthen. I attend to vinegar rinse my hair also.... I'm a germophobe😬

I love that you tell us how long it took to do these. Whenever I wanna do a never style I never know how long it'll actually take. Obviously it'll be a bit different for everyone based on their strengths and weaknesses, but just the general idea of 4-5 hours helps a lot with planning time. Thanks!
I did these for a photoshoot the night before And let's just say the pics came out looking like a professional did them! I got so many compliments and your instructions were super easy and clear to follow! I'm not a braider, but with your help and Jesus, this is my go-2 protective style! And its super light and not heavy like braids or other styles I did in the past! $30 and I was done! Thank you Sis!

I’ve been wanting to get twists done again but can’t deal with how much people charge. Definitely going to try this for my first time doing on my own too.
Never knew it was the hair that made my scalp itch so bad. Even went to the doctors to have it checked out but they claimed it was *insert medical term cause I don't remember the term lol* but it only itched when I was wearing any type of braids but now I'll definitely try the vinegar method before using the hair. Thank you so much for this tip!

Years ago I tried Senegalese twists and had to take them out after a week. The kankelon hair irritated my scalp so bad, it felt like my scalp was on fire. Granted, I do have scalp psoriasis but I recently had faux locs and kept them for about 3 weeks with no issues. The hair you're using definitely matters!
All hair should be washed before putting it in your head.
I love how you didn't rush and explained each process step by step AND showed us how you did it. Will definitely be giving this style a try this summer!
My daughter begins 10th grade the day after tomorrow. She's been wanting passion twists for a while now, and I'm so excited to do this for her! I bought the twists, and I'll be starting the style in the morning.
I've done extensions multiple times over the years, but just braids. I'm looking forward to doing this, as it looks like it'll be a lot easier and less time consuming.

I was worried about the rubber bands & should I do the twist without the rubberbands.
@@nailahsuccess7785 you can do it without rubber bands but it won’t last more than like a week or two. When I use rubber bands I soak them in my favorite hair oil first to soften them, then I make sure I don’t tie them too tightly. Hope this helps girl

Thanks for this tutorial! I've been struggling with a protein deficiency lately so my hair hasn't been in the best shape. I'd been looking for a protective style to do while I focus on increasing my protein intake and this was perfect. I just put in my first set of twists yesterday. It took me 12 hours total from washing my hair to finishing the twists but they came out great! ❤️

A few years back when I was visiting Harlem this lady gave me some gorgeous bombass passion twists, and one thing that she did, that Ive not seen anyone else do, is she removed a teeny bit of hair from each section instead of using the given size. So they were *slighly* smaller and the twist pattern was longer, not so tightly coiled. This made a big difference in the outcome of the style. Not “better”….just gave it a different flow. Hopefully I can do this without tangling & fuckin up the hair. Would be wise to do a trial run before the trip but it’s in 3 weeks, so I probably won’t 👀.
