Wow a car with fuel in it. This must be a first for you. Great fix, I am glad you did not go down the replacement turbo cartridge route, they are usually chinese junk.
I think the previous service repaired the code for low fuel 😂 at least was not showing now (but was printed previously as p0656 fuel level below critical). I was like "i got it, for sure not a real code, just an insider joke from Luis" 😂😂
Did it in C5 x7 2.0hdi , impossible to remove turbo without removing frame. Jammed VNT is common in these turbos. I ended with new oem turbo.Too much work with dismount to risk regen turbo. Good video ! In C5 its even hard to mount turbo back from down after removing frame (very short water hose to turbo). The trick there is also to mount properly metal clamp between turbo and catalitic converter - small mistake and you will smell exhaust fumes inside car.
Just saw your test drive with graph turbo pressure referenced and measured. Lines should be overlaped, i see that they are not act as 1 line. Still something wrong.
@eme444 No... they will never be 100% overlapping... The response of the turbo is never as fast as the ecu reference which is instantaneous... Also, depends on how fast the tool is to graphics the data... Was nothing else wrong with the car, otherwise I would have noticed it, and would not stop the video where I did... 👍👍👍
There is a built in DPF scam on Peugeot/Citroen vehicles. Jimmy DPF cleaner was talking about it recently I think around 120k Miles... I hope you will make a vid about it too...
Is not just peugeot and citroen... many other do have the same lifespan countdown... Has been a thing for some time now, nothing new... I have done many resets of them, when they show to still be good, don't think I ever done a video for that though... 👍👍👍
@@LMAutoRepairs it is very sad to read that it is become habitual worldwide in the industry. I hope not all follow this rule... How can you figure it out?
@@LMAutoRepairs Now I know what is wrong turbo died and push engine oil onto dpf too. I found oil in the exhaust and the turbo picked up engine oil at 3200RPM. I could avoid engine over spin because I was driving countryside so I could brake till the engine stopped self spinning :( >Crazy feeling when engine revs up even though you press the brake pedal!
Good Diagnosis Here on that Turbo. I am glad to see you Conforming but us guys on a budget will go for the Manual Transmission Cars every time...!🤔🤔😇😇👍👍
I simply cannot believe that the Peugeot dealership did not concentrate on the turbo not boosting code That would make sense to concentrate on not the rest of them

Yes, they can be..
I usually stick to the Melett cartridges, they are of quite good quality, and I never really had issues with them...

@@LMAutoRepairs I will Have a look at that brand the next time I need one. Thanks for the heads up

usually use turbo rebuilding shop services for turbo repairs. But this is one crazy failure and for dpf cleaning you should get launch dpf cleaner.
I rebuild the turbos myself...
But yes, this one was a first for me!
Stay tuned for the rest...😉

At least the owner wasn't lying It really is lacking power That thing looks gutless in 4th gear especially 3rd it should be wheel spinning

Surptised that you got it soldered. Brazing would have been much stronger.
As I corrected on the video, was welded, was TIG welded...
