I love the enhanced window, shows how our dolls houses constantly evolve just like full size homes. I also love the excessive use of glue warning, you crack me up! ❤😂❤
That porch looks so inviting! And I love how the dormer turned out. When it comes to paper templates, try using a re-positionable strength glue stick to temporarily keep that paper stuck. The glue is the strength of the kind on post-it notes so it holds real well and allows you to concentrate on the cutting, then you just peel it away after you're done. This new house is so exciting!
Lmao, like you I am an excessive glu-er but even I sat mouth open saying HOLY SH*T watching the porch....you had it all covered in glue, AND THEN YOU ADDED MORE!!! Lucky you're so good at what you do because that porch is not going anywhere now lol. The dormer window looks so much better now with the wood panels, and you did a great job showing how you problem solved it. It's videos like this that I bet will give people the confidence to try and do things themselves.
Love the dormer window! I just want to curl up with my book or maybe my sewing there. The porch just needs a rocking chair or swing to enjoy the evening breeze.
As the owner of a real life size old house, I completely appreciate all the custom work you do on your houses. Unevenness, ill fitting joints, marriages of mixed floor types, sizes and colors are FOR REAL! For those of us who love these spaces, all these things are what gives a house, mini or human scale, CHARM! 😍I am so in love with this attic room, if I ever get to make my attic into a room, I'll be showing the workers pictures of your dollshouse! 😍✨
I love the porch- it looks like the porch of the house I grew up in!! Many happy hours in summertime spent on that porch, it was our favorite place to play!!💙💙💙
Everything turned out great. Wonderful job on your floor, it turned out fabulous. I really like the way the windows turned out, I love the bench. Thanks again, for sharing your experience with us. 🤗🇨🇦
I love those slatted wood porches, too. I like the dormer windows with the wood around them better than with the wallpaper. I think it especially looks more authentic for an attic room.
Always, safety first, indeed! Measure twice, cut once! ALWAYS! You are such a perfectionist!!! Wow. I would have left those mishaps as is. lol I have to say this, Doll... Your fingers look like mine - all gluey! ha ha ha. I love it!
Yes that porch floor is everything. I planned on doing that to my new Houses. I've always loved the way that looks. The new attic window is lovely. Looks so much better than the original. Love it.🥰❤️
Thank you I really do like it a lot better after I scuffed it up! That's why I wasn't concerned with the glue because I knew I was going to do a lot of sanding 🤭😂! That dormer was a true challenge! But I do feel much better about it now! ☺️💖💖💖
I so agree. Woodwork was invented to cover up gaps and gaffs and is only secondarily decorative. We figure that out as we learn our craft, right? Love the porches. They look so authentically worn.
Hello Gretchen, the dormer looks so much better with the wood panelling on. The porch looks great too, it reminds me of the American houses you see in the movies with the wooden verandahs on the front. Have a lovely week. Best Wishes from Yorkshire, England 🇬🇧 😊
Wow! That glue use was truly... excessive. 😄 I think you need to call your therapist for more sessions to treat your EGU. The porch looks great in the end, but cleaning up the extra glue is just extra work and expense- it doesn't help hold the boards in place. I know you can conquer this! 😊Aunt Bess and Aunt Janie are going to love their new space!
The window looks great, and the porch flooring works well with the rest of the house! I want to try making a doll's house, but I think I should start small and make a room first. Hahaha! Have you tried using wood filler for those little gaps?
Thank You Sandie!! Fun fact is l have never done a room box!🤭or built a dollhouse. Wood filler would work well. I just didn't have any. But it's on my list of supplies l need to pick up 😊💖💖💖💖💖 What is the theme of your room box?
I have not been doing dollhouse miniatures for long. I get excited and then it goes away. I think I need to take a note from you and create a story and characters that I am specifically creating for.
Absolutely my dolls are my whole inspiration for everything I create! For me the Dolls are the reason for the Dollhouse! My creations are revolve around their lives! My Dolls have always been my inspiration for creating miniatures! 😃💖💖💖

Thanks TERRI!l really am relieved about the porch. Re: Paper THAT'S SOUNDS like it would save me a lot of trouble!😀l appreciate you for those tips!
That looks amazing!!!
The dormer is nicer now , and the porch flooring looks realistic and suits the age of the house.
I like the way you think on how to cover up problems. They both look great.
Nice window trim. Like the porch. I can vision a cute rocking chair there.
Thank you Denise! THAT'S what I was envisioning too! A couple rocking chairs and several others! Kind of friends and family hang out. 😃💖💖💖💖💖

hi my friend I love the enhanced window
Beautiful! I need to remember to dry fit. My impatience leads to wonky looking results and then I get annoyed lol
I'm glad it all turned out fine for you. 👏🏻👏🏻

Haha. I have to agree that was ample ample enough glue lol
There will be a lot of people buying coffee stir sticks after seeing the beautiful floors and porches.
The dormer looks great, also the porch. So inviting.
Howdy Lady Gretchen, love this dormer - nicely done - thanks for sharing
All looks great! Also, dollhousing as a metaphor for life, love that!
Very nice. A much improved renovation. I love it.

Love how the dormer window and porch floor turned out Gretchen, great job as always, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧

Thank you so much! Yes that is DEFINITELY an iced tea and lemonade porch!!! 😄💖💖💖💖💖

I believe I'll probably always struggle with EGU! I have a general distrust of adhesives in general 🤭😂😆💖

@@littlegretchensworkshop7665 I haven't gotten that far! LOL! I am open to ideas.😅
That excessive glue use is the devil. 😀

I love what you're doing with your newly acquired house! I love your channel!! Might I ask where you found that metal ruler?
Hey There Mary!!! I bought the ruler from Julie Warren Etsy store Bits and Pieces last year.☺️💖
@@littlegretchensworkshop7665 thank you for getting back to me.
It looks great!
