Hey mark, I love the video, seeing you nerd out about space is literally my favourite part of the channel. There is one thing I'd like to point out, as far as I'm aware (I could be wrong) our sun will not go supernova due to its mass not being high enough. It will expand into a red giant consuming the inner planets before shrinking back down to a dwarf. (This is what I learned growing up, as I was as obsessed with space as you are today)
Which is mildly disappointing but it's not like we'd be able to see our planet being burned down to ashes in a blast of blue and red anyway. I guess. Kinda scary.
Well actually the thing is your only partly right all stars will supernova their mass is irrelevant as long as they are a star they will blow up What their mass chooses is the outcome So the higher masses will mean a black hole Lower ones will be nuetron stars or white dwarfs Saldy the expansion of the sun does happen with all stars and that alone will be the death of earth
4:17-4:44 is a super inspiring, mind-boggling speech, and then after it he just does a funny voice and it totally ruined the amazingness that he just blew my mind with XD
🎵 If there was a program for volunteers to go into to space, with like 100% chance of dying from death by space, I would be first in line! If they needed brave volunteers, it stupid volunteers, I would be there so fast! 🎵
12:40 - Roche limit Fun fact: in a few million years mars tiny tiny moon phobos will enter the Roche limit and make a ring around the planet, it's not all fun in games as fragments will rain upon the equator, another fun fact is that the mountain sized moon phobos is nearly half the size in thr sky of the moon even tho being tens of times closer and smaller, it's because of how close it is too Mars, phobos btw has an 8 hour orbit
If the Sun outright disappeared, it would be a LOT cooler than what you showed. Let me explain... Gravity, like all other forces, travels at the speed of light. This means that, on Earth, we would have absolutely no way of knowing the Sun was gone until 8 minutes after it has vanished. We would literally be seeing and orbiting a ghost. At the same time, Mercury, Venus and the Sun would seemingly go dark at the same moment from our perspective, and Venus and Mercury would simultaneously start traveling in a straight line, despite both planets experiencing the Suns non-existence at "different times" relatively speaking. The eerie part is that if we turn around and face Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and the other planets, we could still see them orbiting normally and shining bright in the sky with the last few rays of light that ever left the Sun. Saturn would be visible to the naked eye for the longest time, still shining brightly with all its rings for over 2 hours after our skies go dark. And then, we would witness perhaps the most extraordinary part of the whole event, Saturn's rings fading away slowly. At the speed of light, it would take slightly less than a second to travel from one end of Saturn's rings to the next, meaning that if you are looking at Saturn the moment it starts going dark, you would see it fade out, front to back, over about a second. Relatively speaking, this would be the only time during the disappearance of the Sun that you could actually witness the slow speed of light, as all other planets would seem to instantly vanish, Saturn would be the only one to seemingly evaporate out of the sky. TL;DR: It would look a lot like Thanos snapped his fingers to evaporate the solar system at the speed of light.
Food for thought: the universe is so inconceivably immense that all of these scenarios are guaranteed to have happened, are currently happening, and will happen

Earth "ahhghhahhggh this burns" mean while markiplier "so coOOoOooool"
Blazingpython Gaming R.I.P. Earth’Chan
Wow all these like r insane
just by markiplier talking about space it already explains everything i love about it in more complex words. its a perfect mix of scientific and factual speaking and casual "this is my interest" type speaking
but in short
astronomy is fucking awesome
Congratulations you have been selected among three lucky winner's text me on....
Imagine this isn’t a game, but instead all of these are separate dimensions and A scientist made you practically a god, without you knowing. So ur basically just mass murdering everyone on earth from other dimensions, but u don’t know because you think it’s a game
PLOT TWIST
still worth it not gonna lie
Stargate Atlantis had an episode about something like this. Smaller scale, but still good.
I mean... Technically since multiverses exist that is possible...
I was thinking the same thing.

Today we're gonna take a look at my solar destructor
If sun disappears then earth we’ll be frozen as they be no life left except some maybe polar bears and other snow land animals because they can take a lot of low degrees but for us humans we won’t be able to survive and heck even snake and lizards will die because they are cold blooded
Cabbage Vurtal Well...I forgot how it works, but there’s enough heatings inside of Earth to sustain humanity for a long time,if there smart enough to use the heat and you know.
If the sun disappears, the moon would still be in orbit, but instead of the rotation of night then day it would be night then complete darkness, but the sun would never just disappear from orbit so u have nothing to worry about😁

I would actually watch a 3 hour stream of Mark just screwing around with this simulation.

I'd love to see mark stream this simulation

Mark: A total philosopher, admiring how beautiful space and the universe is.
Also Mark: "1000 Ways to Destroy Earth"
**sees the video**
Me: now let’s introduce Mr. Iplier
He’s studied astronomy, only talks about destroying the earth rather than ACTUALLY teaching something, takes the whole class for a field trip to outer space
Seatbelts, everyone!
Please let this be a normal field trip...
With the Plier? No way
*MAGIC SCHOOL BUS*
Cruising down in space, watch that nova blowing by...oh shit it’s getting hot, WE ARE All GOING TO DIE!!!

Mark:zooms directly into the sun

Well, maybe not think of doing that next time.
Eyes: Ah, my time has come.
me looking at the sun and eating fuckin mcdonalds because my life and eyes enjoy it
Still better than light mode
Markiplier plays it off as an idiot but he’s actually like- A REALLY INTELLIGENT PERSON HOLY SH-
That or he just did some good old-fashioned research into a subject he enjoyed. But then again, that does so “intelligence” so I mean, sure
He's average intelligence. At most, slightly above aversge at best.
It's just that he's interested in space, so he knows a fair bit about it.
I like how you guys decided to come back to this video.
@Lazar I never said that. I'm not saying I'm better than anyone. I was just saying that he's fairly intelligent, but not a fucking genius. I mean, his spacial awareness is a bit bad. Don't jump to such accusatory assumptions.
Everything he’s saying is like the bare minimum tho relax
I love this video. No yelling, no screaming, no intense gameplay. Just the calm atmosphere and Mark's soothing voice. I have watched this over and over, and it never gets old, heck, I have even fallen asleep listening to this. I would love for you to make more videos like this.
Like a lullaby 😴
I agree. Its nice to see him calm and slightly sadistic without yelling for (almost) once
mannnnnn... Mark has such a sweet sexy voice... I agree: very soothing. 10/10
Me 2
I like how the video without yelling, screaming and intense gameplay is about destroying Earth 1000 times.
Mark: “Comes to destroy all of humanity!!!”

It’s so fun watching Mark geek out and have a good time. Makes me smile honestly

Welcome back to Mark Nuts Over Space (Part 2)
Didint they nerf ya 😂
I love Mark’s fascination and passion about space. It is so relaxing to listen to while you are doing homework. (He says something funny and you start cracking up and people start starring at you) lol
Booper Dooper staring* and I can also relate to that I watch him all the time and love it
Hey mark, I love the video, seeing you nerd out about space is literally my favourite part of the channel.
Pretty sure you absolutely correct
Which is mildly disappointing but it's not like we'd be able to see our planet being burned down to ashes in a blast of blue and red anyway. I guess. Kinda scary.
@@SaitosaBard no because we will have killed ourselves long before that happens
Well actually the thing is your only partly right all stars will supernova their mass is irrelevant as long as they are a star they will blow up
What their mass chooses is the outcome
So the higher masses will mean a black hole
Lower ones will be nuetron stars or white dwarfs
Saldy the expansion of the sun does happen with all stars and that alone will be the death of earth
@@dadarocks_ttp76 good job none of us will be around to see it

Mark: it’s gonna kill us all so…
Let’s see that in slow motion😁

12:40 - Roche limit
Fun fact: in a few million years mars tiny tiny moon phobos will enter the Roche limit and make a ring around the planet, it's not all fun in games as fragments will rain upon the equator, another fun fact is that the mountain sized moon phobos is nearly half the size in thr sky of the moon even tho being tens of times closer and smaller, it's because of how close it is too Mars, phobos btw has an 8 hour orbit
so true
I wish I had Mark as my astronomy teacher

Bro you are so right
@@francescoceresani3343 no, we will learn, but soo much better than our boring old teachers who sound like they hate their lives.

Do you study this stuff

If the multiple worlds theory is true, there is a world where it isn't.
But the multiple worlds theory doesn't cover paradoxes… except in the world where it does.
