Bethesda Maryland is located on the Northern edge of Washington DC. Many DC Metro area residents choose to live in Bethesda, MD for it's close proximity to Washington DC. If you are wondering where to live in the Washington DC area, don't rule out Bethesda Maryland!
In this video we cover:
Wyngate is the first stop on this tour. It’s located just inside the Capital Beltway. It’s comprised mostly of single family homes, and has many community events. It’s located close to downtown Bethesda MD while still having the quiet community aspect of a suburb.
Edgemoor is a neighborhood with it all. It has luxury condos, townhouses, and single family homes. It’s walkable to the library, metro, restaurants, and all the major shops. It also has the Edgemoor Club for swim, tennis, and social events since 1920. If you want to live in this
neighborhood you need to be ready to jump at the opportunity.
Kenwood Park is located further out from downtown Bethesda, so if you are a commuter you will need to take a bus to the metro. It has mostly single family homes, and larger lot sizes available. It is known for its mature trees and park like setting. This neighborhood is quite active with a book club, garden club, and events such as a Fall Festival Neighborhood Block Party, and its 4th of July parties.
Woodacres is known for its community aspect and neighborhood charm. You will rarely find new construction builds in this neighborhood. However the neighborhood has many food, clothing, and home furnishing drives. It also has a Spring Egg Hunt, 4th of July Parade, Picnics, and Halloween Party and Costume Contest.
Sumner is on the outer southwest edge of Bethesda close to Washington, DC. It has a mix of condos, townhouses, and single family homes; but also a wide range of affordability while still having access to Bethesda schools and resources. There are parks and playgrounds near by, as well as access to the Capital Crescent Trail.
