Higher education section is missing the incredibly important fact that you get in state tuition in Virginia to public universities. DC has virtually none (only UDC), and at most will give about $10k a year for you to go to other state schools, which will still leave you paying much more than Virginia in-state tuition

Man, you really undersold the City of Falls Church -- just named the healthiest city in America, boasts one of the best Farmer's Market in the country, and one of the wealthiest towns in the US. Not to mention, Meridian high school is one of the best in the State. And the nationally acclaimed Ellie Bird, Thompson Italian, and scores of restaurants with strong regional rankings

DC is a breeze compared to the city’s I’ve been to been all over the world and the worst is Melbourne Australia . A 20 minute drive takes 2 hours and cameras everywhere

You want to complain about traffic? Go live in Atlanta for a year or two. And public transportation is a JOKE! I'm DC bound!!

As foreign, I love living in DC. Many people from Md and Va try to get their kids at DC schools, public transportation is efficient, clean. Recreation is great from free to all the budgets. You must hate this city

Raised my kids in Loudoun, moved back to Tidewater 4 yrs ago where grew up. I concur with the $$$ sentiment. Bought my house in Leesburg in ‘86 for 100k. Same house costs 400k when i left. My second house went from 600 to 1.2m in 10 yrs. It’s super expensive.

#1 not to is traffic 295 TERRIBLE...#2 speed cameras on EVERY POLE , EVERY HALF BLOCK!!! #3 expensive, rent / mortgage. #4 over development, condo and luxury apartment going up EVERYWHERE!!!!

The DMV is extremely expensive. Don’t come here. Commutes are 45-90 minutes per day. ❤

How is the brookland area in DC??

The one area of this video that I will address as a federal contractor since 2007 is that snow is real in this area. I’m from The Bronx, NYC and I used to clown the DMV for shutting things down. However, the roads in many places are bad but drivers are horrid! I remember in 2008 or 9 and watching traffic stuck on the mixing bowl from 395S to 495N from about 4 pm til the following morning. People ran out of gas, stuck on a highway with nowhere to go. I applaud the govt for shutting things down. Many of us have children. When schools close, everything needs to close. Emergency childcare is scarce.

As a DC resident he sure didn’t lie about those photo traffic tickets.

Lived 1st 10 years in the city but bought home right off Telegraph Rd in Fairfax Cty. Best of both worlds! 10 mins away from National Harbor. Minutes from the city of Alexandria. Less than 30 mins from DC. Both have perks. Arlington is whack.

TLDR absolutely do not ever ever ever drive. It’s not as bad as this guy claims but public transportation is so good I’d willingly use it if it made my journey twice the length.

If you're moving to dc you dont need a car. The metro and bus service is pretty extensive.

Traffic? If you live in the city, you don’t need a car. Use public transportation. Subway system is awesome.

As for higher education, UVA is ranked higher than any other college in Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Virginia also has more in the way of beaches, considering the size of Virginia Beach. There are pockets of liberalism, outside of NoVa, like Charlottesville.
