    With Rough Country’s 3-Inch Bolt-On Suspension Lift Kit with Premium N3 Shocks, your Toyota Tundra will be ready to handle the bumps and blows that come with extreme off-roading. This kit is designed to not only raise your truck’s ride height by 3 inches but also to help keep your rides smooth and comfortable by improving the vehicle’s overall handling.
    Rough Country’s Premium N3 Shocks are high-pressure, nitrogen-charged shock absorbers that are built with a chromed hardened piston rod and high-quality shock body. They also boast a 10-stage variable valving, which allows them to adjust accordingly to the terrain you’re on. As a result, they offer a more reliable road damping performance that’ll last you a good long time.
    The kit’s control arms boast a new tubular construction and feature clevite rubber bushings for increased durability. Additionally, they’re engineered to help keep your truck’s ball joints at their optimum angles to prevent premature wear and tear.
    The rear lift blocks that are in this kit are fabricated from a tough material, so they exhibit remarkable strength. They’re also secured by heavy-duty U-bolts, so you can ensure that you’re able to retain your desired rear height-no matter how rough the trails get. terrain.jp/3c8UN3i

    Brother I'm not going to lie. I have watched a million videos over the year about installing lift kits and working on cars in general, I have installed my own lift kids, I just picked up a tundra, and this is the best video guide I have ever seen before I left in general quality lighting angles information in general great video man

    Thanks for the video. Helped out doing the install. Working from the ground was tough. Took me 12 hours to do install since it’s been a while since I have wrenched on vehicles. I didn’t do the spacer I went with RC 3.5 coilovers for the front. I installed 35’ tires. The front rubbed a bit. I will be molding or moving bumper forward just a bit

    Proper advice for final installation/tightening process would be to lower the truck to the ground letting the suspension settle under the weight of the truck before final tightening of the suspension parts. Unless I missed something, it looks like you tightened everything while it was sagging and hanging on the lift. Not sure that that's correct procedure.

    • @Richies_Garage
      @Richies_Garage 2 роки тому

      This is correct advice but most of the time with lift kits you get an alignment too

  • @davidgrimm1079
    @davidgrimm1079 3 роки тому +1

    I gave you a thumbs up, how ever I lowered my front end resting the drums of the rotors onto Jack stands. Then I tightend everything to spec. Not doing this can blow out your control arm, shock and sway bar bushings. Great video! 👍

      @@speedbuggy9815 Are you sure you lowered the front differential properly? Try loosening all the suspension bolts and retighten with the truck on its tires (no jacks)

    if you are working on the ground you can do one side of the rear at a time just leave the u bolts loose till you have both blocks installed then tighten same with a lowering kit same setup just put block in different spot that way you do not need to have extra jacks or fight pinion angle and soak the ubolts for a couple days with breaker or pb blaster to get them off if you only have a ratchet

  • @pnorton75

    What if you run 35's without 1" offset. Surely you diminish mud flap rub, but do you get into suspension interference?

    How is about cv axels angles ??? They will not eat that rubber boot as a candy ?? Just wondering as the diff drop doesn't actually correct the angle and you diff drive shaft angle will change as you just drop a front ... It's not even a diff drop it's a diff tilt ! Can you please explain I'm really curious about those cv joint angles and how long they will actually last !

    • @nicolasb5613
      @nicolasb5613 3 роки тому +3

      Check your rear block spacer , the spacer is not perfectly squared, the high part goes towards the front, if you install it the other way, you will have vibration at tje rear as the angle of your axle changed.

    Hi Joe...Great Video - Two Questions: You have 3 1/2" of additional lift in the front and 2 1/2" of additional lift in the rear. You mentioned the reason for the difference was to compensate for the “rake” so that the truck would now appear level after the lift kit is installed. In my case, I might haul a boat making the back a little heavier. So, the question is, would it be possible to get the rear lift parts at 3” as opposed to 2 1/2” so the back of the truck won’t drop so much when I tow my boat? Also, second question, would installing the rear lifts alter or affect the alignment for the rear tires? If so, I would need to have that realigned but I’m not sure that shops (typical shops like Firestone, etc.) would do that as part of their alignment package. Any info would be helpful.

    • @rickeyuson2731
      @rickeyuson2731 3 роки тому +1

      Id look into getting bags in the rear if you are towing a boat. I towed at max cap on my 35ft boat dry and it was squatting alot

      remember that the suspension is under no weight when the truck is hanging in the air, the whole steering knuckle will go up once the tires are on and the truck is on the ground, it'll be fine

    • @dreadfulbeef7653

      as the steering knuckle goes up, so does all of the parts connected to it, so the tie rod wont be in that position.

    Are the designers of these kits Professional Regigistered Engineers and what is the increased risk of roll over?

    • @ExtremeTerrainToyota
      @ExtremeTerrainToyota  2 роки тому +1

      Any time you increase the height of your vehicle with a lift in general, you're going to increase the risk of roll-over due to the higher center of gravity. The owner of the vehicle generally accepts this risk when making their vehicle better-suited to go off-road. -Zach
