    Banging the tie rod end and sway bar link out on the stud threads with a hammer? The video was off to a great start then went amateur hour.

    Great video! Would it be possible to list the actual tire sizes shown in the beginning. I realize it says 31”,33”and 35 but I’m curious what the actual metric size is. Thank you.

    Maybe I missed this in your video, but did you mention anywhere where you have to take it to the dealer to have all the sensors and systems recalibrated per the instructions?

    I believe you put the hardware for the front shock on incorrectly. Correct me if I’m wrong but should that first washer go under the top hat then bushing followed by 2nd washer on top of top hat? I have to remove mine now because I followed this….

    What is the max height with the 3 inch lift? I’m looking for a new truck, but it needs to fit in the garage. I have a F150 with a Fox level kit on it now and it just barley fits in the garage.

    I installed a 2-inch lift kit and 285/70/18 tires on my 2022 Toyota Tundra SR5, and when I started it, many warning lights came on the dashboard with disabled functions like ABS, brake... What could be the issue?

    Any idea how much weight this adds to the truck, reducing the already low payload?

    I put this lift on my 2023 platinum. Didn't remove fog lights because that is stupid. Also didn't replace the brake lines or the axles because it's my wife's truck and is a pavement pounder. I also maintained the front drop down spoiler simply by trimming it around the drop sway bar brackets. Obviously I will keep an eye on the axles and brake lines but shouldn't be an issue. My only regret is I went with 20 inch wheels and 35 inch tires. I think 18 inch wheels with 35's look better.

    What offset did you use on the 35x12" tires (not even 12.5s). Did they rub bc mine do even with an alignment. I am running +40mm and have tried +25mm. On 35s and both rump either the sway bar or the body mount. It is frustration bc I have seen people run 37s with a chop or 35s on factory TRD rims which have a +60mm offset with no rubbing. If you dont have rubbing can you share your alignment settings? Thanks.

      My tires also rub with this kit. 35/12.5R18 +1 offset. I removed the block behind the liner up front and it helped a lot. But it still rubs a bit on that triangle type piece that sticks out if I crank it all the way.. I am debating on cutting it.

    • @rlaracue
      @rlaracue 8 місяців тому

      I only rub the sway bar a full lock. I switched to +25mm wheels and the rubbing is almost gone. Only if I jam it at full lock turning left do I rub slightly on the sway bar. I will see if I can deal with it but if I rub more regularly I will put the smallest space I can use. So far no rubbing in the back of the tire. I clear the body mounts fine with 35x12.5R17 on a Icon 17x9 +25mm wheel. +18mm is probably the sweet spot tbh. @@Insanitation420

    U need to get speedometer recalibrated if you run 35”?

    • @ExtremeTerrainToyota

      It's not a requirement, but a tuner or speedometer calibration tool would be helpful to see the most accurate speed.

    I just wish this would be a factory install and not a dealer install. Do not trust a dealer tech to install this as well as a factory worker would, even though these Tundra factory workers are messing up a lot, dealer install also means I would have had paid for the original suspension AND this lift kit AND additional labour.

    Beating on the top of that tie rod end with a hammer is going to damage those threads. 13:54 Buy a tie rod separator. You will thank me later.

    • @Insanitation420
      @Insanitation420 8 місяців тому +1

      @@franciscofloresacuna4994 it goes over the skid plate, not protected. Not sure if there’s a mod to tuck it back behind or not and still allow full suspension travel. I really don’t want to run spacers on the skid plate 3”. Would like to tuck the sway bar back behind the skid plate by removing brackets but don’t thinks that a reliable option on mechanical linkage.

    Want to get my truck leveled but Toyota service manager told me if I change the tire size on my truck ( what it came with when I drove it off the the lot ) it would void everything on the truck . I would love to get a clear understanding of what I could do to my truck to make it look better. Have a feeling this Toyota dealership is going to lose a lot of business with this new service manager. I love Toyota trucks and cars but this guy has really pissed me off . He also
    ran off one his best employees .

    • @dethtour
      @dethtour 6 місяців тому

      Get the trd lift kit to not void anything. Don't do spacers either. Throw on some 35s and you're good to go

    • @domdrty
      @domdrty 5 місяців тому +1

      The only thing larger tires/wheels could potentially void is anything they directly effect.
      With that being said a dealer/manufacturer could deny a warranty claim and blame aftermarket parts you added. Even if they are wrong, you would need to hire an attorney to try and get the manufacturer to cover the work.
      I cant speak for Toyota, but I've never had any issues with GM with warranty work on the last 2 Silverados I owned. They were both lowered 4/6 on 22in wheels and 4/7 on 24in wheels.
