SSR Motorsports 800W SEEV-800 Fat Tire Electric Scooter
From humble beginnings in 2002 when SSR Motorsports began importing and distributing power-sports products (predominantly small off road pit bike motorcycles), in only 4 years the company had expanded to include all-terrain vehicles, utility terrain vehicles and electric scooters. One of their most popular is the SSR Motorsports 800W SEEV-800 Fat Tire Electric Scooter, a minimalist scooter that maxes out on features.
The premise behind the SEEV-800 fat tire electric scooter was to create an electric powered mode of transportation that was affordable, reliable and capable of conveying people anywhere within a 50 mile radius. The engineers wanted to create an energy efficient vehicle that would have the potential to replace the family car. This new scooter wouldn’t require gas or DMV fees; it would be street legal and would not require a license or insurance (although State and County regulations vary, so it’s always a good idea to check prior to purchasing). The end result of this brainstorming was the SEEV-800 electric scooter, which has been embraced by students and professionals alike due to its functionality, impressive style and excellent performance range.
Powered by a huge 800 watt electric hub motor, the SEEV-800 fat tire scooter boasts a truly impressive 60 volt, 12 amp hour lithium-ion battery (to put things in perspective, the majority of high powered e-bikes and electric scooters have a maximum battery voltage of 48, and more commonly, only 36). The ‘Twist & Go’ throttle system is easy to operate (you really do just twist and go) and can reliably transport you up to 50 miles from a single battery charge, achieving a top speed of 20 mph. This means that the SEEV-800 really can replace the day to day running around that most people do in their car, whether commuting to work, visiting friends and family or just running errands around town.
For those concerned about riding a 2 wheeled scooter, the SEEV-800 electric scooter is self-balancing thanks to the super wide, straight grain, tubeless tires, which are 9.5” wide (compare this with the more commonly used fat tires which are 4” wide). Steering on these super wide tires is also simple to learn, as you just lean into the turns. DYISLAND hydraulic disc brakes ensure that you’ll be able to come to a safe stop on demand, even when the scooter is fully loaded up and travelling at its highest speed.

Love this style of scooter the only problem is I have nowhere to park it...and I don't mind the battery being in the floorboards but I need to be able to remove the battery like a hinged floor board...
Great suggestion! We will pass it onto the creator / designer of the scooter. Thanks for watching. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
floor board space needs to be a bit wider and longer like the Phatty Scooter, then I think I would be interested. I want this brand because it is sold/stocked in local stores where I can at least look at it before buying.
Ok. Thanks for watching.
Link in the description doesn't take you anywhere...
Sorry... Can't sell them on-line anymore. Here it is on the SSR Site: www.ssrmotorsports.com/store/electric/seev-800.php Thanks for watching! -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Hello Chaparral Motor Sports. Will your service department put a new battery in one of these exact same scooters? Thank you
Hello, we are no longer carrying these scooters. Sorry.
Is this the same thing as an electric kick paddle scooter ?
I don't think so. We no longer carry this, so I cannot confirm.
25 mile range? Might want to check that number. Specs say 40 miles
Specs might say 40... but that is at half throttle downhill ;) We have one we have run... and the most we have gotten is 28 miles - when riding it how we will be using it. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
You sell a replacement seat
Hello, sorry we no longer carry this product and do not have replacement seats.
Where I can find a charger for it
Sorry not sure. We no longer carry these.
I have one also seev 800 but my problem is my battery charger can you pls help me where I can buy that charger thank
Hello, I would suggest contacting the manufacturer, SSR Motorsports.
Hi do you need a license to drive this
Thanks
Hello, in most areas you do not.
What’s the name of the app?
Sorry not sure. We no longer sell these.
How much does it cost seev 800
Hello, sorry we no longer sell these.
Is it legal to drive this electric scooter on beach soft sand in California, Los Angeles? I mean not on the Beach Bike Path, but on soft beach sand.
Hello, I do not believe you can legally ride this on most beaches in California. There are a few beach areas that are open to vehicles such as Oceano Dunes.
@@chaparralmotorsports O yes, sometimes they pull people from the water and arrest them because don't wear mask when swimming. That's a democrat California....LOL
I’ve searched and searched and cannot find the application on my iPhone or android device can you help?
Hi Pat, the app was on the apple app store last year, I know because I had downloaded it at one point. According to SSR they are having some issues with the iOS version app and trying to get it back to the App Store. At this point, this app is only available in Android version and you might need to borrow a Android device to adjust the settings.
You need to download the Android version from thier website: www.ssrmotorsports.com/store/electric/seev-800/app.php hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
what's it like in the snow? asking for a friend in minnesota :)
I would imagine it would work well... But have never tried it! Winter Goals... -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Stud it up...
It would be nice it there was a better tread design for snow. (Option) Unfortunately I live in a winter snow area and this tire will not cut it. Other than that I love it .
Thanks for the review.

Where is the charger port?
I have a "clone" from
fatbearscooters.com
& 1- don't see one anywhere in the outside of the scooter, even yours doesn't seem to have one easily visible?
2- it's not like the manual tells you this information or, if the port is on the battery, how to disconnect the battery safely so as to charge it.
Saying this, yes, there are DYI on how to disconnect & make the battery disconnectable & re connectable but that seems to be a lot of work just to charge it, plus the warranty in this states basically if you do whatever to try to "modify" it, like say make the battery easy to disconnect just so you can charge it, your warranty is null & void from there in in making you trying to get a refund impossible.
@@eventsmorewithchrisg charger port is down near the rear axle. It’s a port next to where the axle passes through the frame.
This would be perfect if the frame was aluminum and brought the weight down under 100 lbs to make it legal in my area
Hello, understandable. Unfortunately we no longer carry this scooter.
How do you charge it
It' comes with a charger that you plug into a standard electrical outlet.
What’s top speed
Top speed is about 20mph. Thanks for watching.
I have one. Can I make it faster?
Yes, you can ride it downhill ;) That's about it. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
20 mph is to slow some go 32 for 5h3 same price around 1500
@@chaparralmotorsports
Hmmm..what about "killing" the Governor wire?
Usually, it's a white or grey colored wire inside where the battery is? I know this will be range it but then again, if there's a better battery out there that one can buy, you can "make up" for "mileage"?
20MPH yea is slow for that price! I have a hiboy with app all the bells and whistles and live in California and don’t care about going up hills for FAR less in price
