You can never go wrong with ABBA!!
true fact
@Uriel Carlos Creepy. Why would you do that?
You all prolly dont care but does anyone know a method to get back into an instagram account??
I was stupid forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Robert Sincere Instablaster :)
Not ever!!!! There’s at least one song that everyone likes and even if they don’t they at least know it! 😂
There are tons of great Abba songs, you can't lose!
Jay be for you say it ,,,, NO THIS WAS NOT The 80s lol
No losers who have to fall here...
@@Tom_McMurtryhi😊
We told you: Once you get into ABBA there is no turning back !!!
I had the privilege of seeing ABBA in concert. Yes, everybody was dancing, even the security guards. Nothing but fun and music and dancing. God, I miss the 70's.
how wonderful. I was born '71, they were my favourites. Wish I'd had the chance xx
@@joycegibbs5267 what makes those things special is the fact that it only existed for a moment.
That sounds just AMAZING. Lucky lucky you. My parents got to see them too and I’m forever jealous!!
I was too young but it looked like an amazing decade. I vaguely remember my parents having this on at parties when I was a young kid
One of my favorites of Abba. This beat was sampled widely, most notably Madonna’s song Hung Up.
Yep. I felt like someone had stolen from a child i was very proud of when Madonna did “Hung Up”. Lol
I was like “HEY, THAT’S ABBA’S TUNE!! Wtf?!” I love them.
@@hyacinthdibley2420 She said that she would beg Benny on her knees or write bianco check if needed, just to get that intro, because it's known that they (ABBA) don't give their songs to other performers for covers.
The only ones that got that right were Madonna and Fugees (Rumble in the jungle - bas line from ABBA's song - The name of the game)
@@MultiSky7 That Fugee loop was great
@@MultiSky7 didn't Ava Max also sampled this tune for her song Torn too? When I hrd Torn i immediately got familiar by the iconic intro tune.
@@Azarath_Metrion_Zinthos What Ava Max did was not a sample (technically, sample is the exact fragment of another song played in loop), she used the same keyboard sound, so it felt like it was Gimme gimme, but it wasn't. Her song was heavily influenced by Gimme Gimme, but it's not a sample or plagiarism - unless, Benny and Bjorn had legally protected that sound as intellectual property, which is possible, cause that sound came out by mixing sounds from two different keyboards - so they made something new.
ABBA's melodies are just enchanted!
This band was pure magic!
"Is this a Disco song?" It's THE Disco song! :D
Ooph tough one... BeeGees are up there too
And Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, KC & the Sunshine Band, the Whispers, Kool & The Gang .....
oof I don't know about that, chief lol
The girls had the most beautiful voices..
When you add two of the best songwriters and melodists with two of the best singers of the music industry of all time, well you have Abba with timeless and iconic songs that everybody keep on listening to 40 years later...
I feel sorry for Rutger Gunnarsson, played the bass and made the string arrangements for ABBA, a huge part of their sound - never gets a mention. He died a few years back relatively unknown (but worth around $100m!).
No one can do a solo vocal with in a band setting...quite like Agnetha.. she was amazing.. abba was amazing.. but agnetha was a joy...
ABBA-I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do
YES DONNA ! THAT is THE song imo.....:)
This song is a monster! So well done. ABBA had such a quality, no wonder Madonna took that entry for one of her songs, it's so good.
This was sampled by Madonna for 'Hung up'
Easily one of the best ABBA songs
Dancing Queen was there biggest by far FROM 1977 ,,
Great ABBA reaction, they were a hit machine! You should do “S.O.S.”
This song describes my life right now.
I was just thinking that about myself.
Great reaction! Memories of my parents playing this album repeatedly as a child and us all dancing.
Well its after midnight here ! In fact its 2.30 am now 🇬🇧.💤 😴 Another ABBA Banger ! Good choice 👌
Abba were huge in the 70’s, fond memories
Every song ABBA produced was an instant hit. They have nothing but hits :))) I wasn`t a fan back then but the older I get, the more I appreciate their genius :)
I have Loved ABBA since 1972 ! and danced all over New York City in the clubs , most of my friends (even today ) never cared for disco, some hated it! Long Live ABBA !
I really like how you always hear something very specific in a song that I would have never have thought about, and how absolutely right you always are in your comments. You are quite the talent.
Thank you 🙏🏾
Still remember when ABBA won the swedish Melodi Grand Prix in 1974 (Waterloo). I was 3 years old. My first musical crush. I have listened to them all my life. The best, most ABBA - ich song is "Ring, Ring".
ABBA so many classic hits personally I still love “SOS” it’s one of their best
this song still gets played in so many night clubs where I’m from- such a classic!!
WOOOOO love a bit of ABBA, grew up with them lol another one think still have their album on vinyl 😂 🤣 dust it off 😋 xx
ABBA was the world's biggest pop group between 1974-1982. They have maybe two dozen hit singles.
They have about 60 songs reaching number 1 in different countrys
Possibly one of the top 3 greatest bands of all time. Their production techniques and value were on another planet. While other bands were mixing multiple guitar/drum or voice tracks ie: 5 or 6 multiple tracks of the same instrument or voice laid upon each other. These guys were laying 24+ on top of each other.
ABBA, The Beatles, and…Duran Duran!
"S.O.S." has to be my favourite.
With ABBA you almost never go wrong (almost). Their songs are amazing, infectious, joyful, soulful, and plain good! Benny Andersson (the one with the beard) and Bjorn Ulvaeus were great songwriters, and that they wrote in English (instead of their native Swedish) is a testament to their talent. And the voices of Agnetha Fältskog (the blonde) and Anni-Frid Lyngstad (or Frida to the fans and her friends) blend so beautifully. The shame is that they only made music together from the early 1970s to about 1981. They were married to each other....Agnetha and Bjorn were one couple and Benny and Frida were the other. When the marriages fell apart, so did the band. They were even reportedly offered 1 Billion Dollars (US) just a few years ago to reunite for a single concert event...and they turned it down. They are all multi-millionaires many times over, their music still sells like crazy, and they have a stage musical called 'Mamma Mia!' that uses their songs that was so successful in London and New York that they made it into a film with Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, which ended up getting a sequel film. ABBA almost always has had the golden touch. Great reaction!
Yep. This song was totally Disco.... I'm old enough to remember it in the nightclubs of the time :-)
I haven't heard an ABBA song I haven't liked and this one always got me dancing. I love the way you describe what you like in a song, what you hear in the instruments, you point out things I have missed even though I may have heard it many times over the years. Take care and stay safe please everyone God bless you all love hugs and peace my friends Mary-Ellen UK
Disco was a dance era. When people could do drugs, alcohol get together and have a great night. I miss those days.
This band is ridiculously insanely incredible. Always my 🅰️🅱️🅱️🅰️💖💙💙💖
No matter what song of ABBA's you listen to, you can't help but start to move. Just one of those great bands where every song is fun to listen to to brighten the day.
There's a great wealth of videos of ABBA to explore here on UA-cam. When I went beyond what was on ABBA Gold, I realized how much I had missed. It finally got to the point where I had to purchase their boxed set, so I could have all their studio albums. I bought several books about them too.
Perhaps for your next Abba reaction you might want to try Kisses of Fire/Lovers Live a Little Longer from Live in Switzerland; the vocals are incredible.
Hi from the UK, just adore ABBA from time they won the eurovisio with Waterloo to when they retired, LEGENDS ONE AND ALL , even now their music is loved world wide never to be forgotten .
I'm adding my vote for listening to Madonna's "Hung Up" after this.
Absolutely awesome
Their two voices together are magic 😍
Yesss!! Love love love ABBA!!!
Abba and their harmonies... perfection!
"SOS" is a 70's pop masterpiece. You should do that one next for ABBA, and then "The Name of the Game", another superb song.
I didn't grow up with Abba. My mother has it all on vinyl and CD. I started listening to Abba when I was 16. When I turn up Dancing Queen or "Gimme gimme gimme" my mother starts dancing and smiling. Me too :-) As great as the appreciation for Abba later became ... I don't think any of these people listened to the lyrics. The lyrics are phenomenally good, the sound is pure perfection ... together with the voices it is and remains unmatched. At 25 I am not ashamed to say: I am an Abba fan. And if nobody remembers us anymore ... Abba will be remembered when there is no more electricity and her songs can no longer be played ... everyone will hum the songs to themselves ... and smile.
As a DJ from the 70s, I can tell you that's just the Disco Beat .
Mans had no idea how fire this was
Every ABBA song is a banger!
ABBA songs never age .You either luv or hate ABBA nd if you luv them you play them load. X
❤❤❤ABBA
Abba is just the best ever
Dude.. love your reactions.. My sister signed me up into The ABBA fan club in 1976. I was 6. I am now 50. They're hits are majestic perfect pop.. watch out if you go roaming in the albums though..
It is defin my Abba fav song, its just so completly arranged
That was also a great sitcom, Gimme Gimme Gimme 😂
Do more Abba! Die hard metalhead here but I love me some Abba. Their songwriting is just sublime.
This is making me want to have a big family party with my family... we play multiple ABBA songs. ❤️
Love ABBA! ❤
Try to listen to more ABBA songs. My mom loves ABBA. There is Mamma Mia, Chiquitita and many more. I did put something here that he already did but I erased it.
The video of "Take a chance on me" First class.
He has already reacted to some of these, check playlist first
@@marianacaffaro Apologies, I realised this after I had commented.
@@marianacaffaro oh okay. I'll check. So i went back. He did knowing me knowing you, dancing queen and take a chance on me.
There are +- 80 great or good Abba songs. So start to dig, my friend! 😎
Agnetha.... changed me.... god i love her vocals.....
"The day before you came"
Technically difficult to sing !
Great to see next generation catching these tunes. ABBA just had something special.
"The Day Before You Came" that one is good too.
OMG!!!! Erasure did a cover of this song and I had no idea ABBA did it first. Check out the Erasure version also. If you hadn't heard of them, they are a New Wave 80s band. Still together today... AMAZING!!! Thanks and take care buddy
ABBA always make me emotional
Uma das melhores bandas de todos os tempos!
Finally!! My anthem
If you like that kind of song, you'll love "I know there's something going on" from Frida.
LOVE
Yes! It's a must hear! Phil Collins sang backup and drummed on that track... A masterpiece!
You can tell that they know little about ABBA's music in the USA, but you have the opportunity to know their excellent songs
My mom loved this band, and i pretended not too because it felt embarrassing to admit it xD
I love watching your videos of reactions to songs makes me enjoy the songs even more 😊
Pitch perfect. Beautiful. Thanks for posting.
Love your reactions 😄😄😄 And I love ABBA 😄👍🏼
You never go wrong with ABBA and ABBA reactions...its such high timeless quality..it can never go wrong...it just cant...this is a great song, disco esk as Jayvee was saying, great song...great melody..classic...
A classic ABBA song. Great harmonies. Those girls could sing. 👌🎶👍
Best Disco and melodies - ABBA and the Bee Gees
One of my favourite Abba songs!
I love seeing you bouncing away in your chair! It's one of those songs that makes you want to move, even when you're sitting down!
Hold up, the video cuts out the instrumental middle section? :O What a travesty! Anyway, yes, this was my introduction to ABBA. Great, great song. Glad you liked it. :)
This "official video" uses the single/radio edit of the song. That was usually the case for songs released in that era.
@@larrywt656 Right. Should've thought of that, thanks. I'm mainly only familiar with the album versions. I was even shocked that The Visitors was shortened by over a minute (it omits the 2nd instrumental interlude) so... Anyway, Jayvon liked the song and ultimately that's what's important.
ABBA is always great. Music just is so great that they could sing it all night and you wouldn't be bored.i know what you were talking about, 70s disco had that beat, that both those songs had.
this is my favourite Abba song. I'm so glad you listened to it. You are so observant too.
Classic tune Jayvee, Madonna used the backing track for her tune Hung Up.
Mental.. seen 1 abba reaction by you and now am all on your reactions commenting lol av loved every one so far...especially winner takes it all..that was a good reaction man
The greatest. I've never heard a bad record of theirs.
Love your response Jay, you rock!
Yessss I’ve been waiting for this one 🥲
One of my favorite ABBA songs. Okay, I say that about almost every ABBA song, but when she holds that note on Prayer... Damn! I mean, chills!
parties, clubs etc were definitively festive in the '70-'80. everybody was smiling to anyone. it was great and i m happy i was there.
ABBA always hits the right notes. Always good.
I remember an interview with ABBA from the late 1970s in which they mentioned Earth Wind and Fire as a group they liked (Roxy Music was mentioned too). The influences from American disco is clear in the Volez Vous-album + songs from that period, like this one.
Hey jay this my favourite ABBA song gimme gimme gimme great beat in song too and you Reaction very Cool😊
abba never ever made a bad or underpar song everything they wrote composed or sung was pure gold.. i dare anyone to listen to an abba song and not want to start to move and dance....
Summer Night City,great track.
Just one of many!!
Brilliant brilliant brilliant record.
This song is an absolute joy
Thanks to my parents that I was born so early to experience and listen to Abba and also the BeeGees in the 70s
After midnight, before noon, a week from Thursday - anytime Agnetha needs me I'll be there.
Easily in my top 3 of Abba love it!
Dude I caught myself smiling watching you dig on the jams. Lmao Keep on rocking lol
I love your videos. You clearly know a lot about music but your never snobby about it.
I would highly recommend "Lay all your love on me" , the production is on another level.
Abba's 1982 live perfomance of "The Day Before You Came" is great and very worth watching. Probably one of their final performances. Also, an Abba song that the men sang is "Does your mother know?"
