No, he said that it was his favourite ABBA song. Perhaps you're confusing him with Frank Sinatra who said that "Something" was the greatest love song of the last 50 years?
This song made them mega, mega in Australia. We went INSANE. At one stage, they ruled this country. The girls are still our Queens! Such incredible ladies and such incredible singers. Their videos were so brilliant and unexpected and unique. I loved this, thank you!❤️❤️❤️
Fun fact - 'Mamma Mia' spent 10 weeks at Number 1 in Australia in 1975/76 and is one of the longest running Number 1 hits in Australian history. 'Mamma Mia' was one of 3 songs by ABBA to top the Australian single charts, continuously, which has never been done before! 'I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do', spent 3 weeks at Number 1, which was knocked off the Number 1 spot by 'Mamma Mia', spending 10 weeks at Number 1, which was then knocked off by their next single 'SOS', spending a week at Number 1. 11 weeks later, their next release, 'Fernando', spent 14 weeks at Number 1 and was the longest running Number 1 single in Australia for 40 years, before that record was beaten by Ed Sheeran's single 'Shape of you', which spent 15 weeks at Number 1. 8 weeks after 'Fernando' was knocked off the Number 1 spot, their next release, 'Dancing Queen' went to Number 1, spending 8 weeks at the top of the Australian charts. 2 weeks after 'Dancing Queen' lost the Number 1 spot, their next release, 'Money, Money, Money', went to Number 1 also, spending 6 weeks at the top. 1976 saw ABBA take out the Number 1 spot 5 times in Australia, collectively spending 30 weeks at the top of the Australian single charts that year, with 'Mamma Mia', 'SOS', 'Fernando', 'Dancing Queen' and 'Money, Money, Money', all claiming the top spot. ABBA remains a big deal here. It's been said that every household in Australia has at least one ABBA single/album in their collection! Lol! I know I do!
Its soo easy to dork out and dance to Abba in my bedroom lol. Thanks to my folks who had their records, 💃🏼anyone who hasn't seen Muriel's wedding, pls just watch it.
ABBA did so many great pop golds. The fact that they stands time is a testimony that they were brilliant composed. Song like would not be done today but that’s how it is, 50 years from now some artists from the 2020s will still be up... and ABBA of course 100 years later still going strong

Nice to see you again And happy to a new great job with the classic songs of ABBA "Mamma mia" is a classic that transcended history and made the name of a successful musical with ABBA songs written by the songwriting members Björn and Benny themselves (almost 25 years later) and recently two successful musical films in a saga ( and a third on the way) performed by renowned actors Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnam "Mamma mia" video is an icon With this video the ABBAmania born in Australia Another suggestion could be: "Waterloo" (first worldwide hit) "S.O.S." Right? I have this crazy idea, where JV makes a mini-series, where he compares songs, switching between them and making observations. Imagine cutting between Duran Duran - Planet Earth, and ABBA - Voulez Vous, and talking about that for a bit. I'd watch that!
ABBA Is the 2nd most selling band of all time BE HIND THE BEATTLES Then Followed by Led Zeppelin and Queen IN LPS SALES , And ABBA is from the 70s Like Queen
You can't go wrong with ABBA. A lot of folks thought they were just Disco but, not only was their break out hit, Waterloo actually a pop song but, they never kept themselves in just one genre OR language. Chiquita is one of my favorite songs by ABBA. BOTH the English and the Spanish versions.
Just FYI, the name of the group is ABBA (all capital letters). It's an acronym for the first letters in their first names, Anni-fryd, Benny, Bjorn & Agnetha. ABBA has been one of my guilty pleasures for decades now and I'm not afraid to say so!
I think we're opposites. :) Although not a super fan I always liked ABBA's music. Then I went to see "Mamma Mia" in London's West End. I hated that show so much and nearly got up and walked out. As a result I have no interest in ever seeing the movie version (in contrast I've been to "Jersey Boys" about four times). I still enjoy the music of ABBA, though, although not so much this particular song.
In a way, I wish you hadn't posted this song. In the past year, I have had several A𐐒BA attacks. That means once you hear one of the songs you have to listen to more A𐐒BA. And to think. I couldn't stand them when they first came out. It was after I bought their Volez Vous Album. Although, not their best album, it made me a fan, and then I saw their concert shortly after. If it weren't for my obsession with The Beatles and they didn't have such a huge discography of decent tunes, ABBA would be my #1 group. I'm not saying A𐐒BA is officially my second favorite group but they are definitely up there!
All those 70's 21's I went to as a kid instantly come back to me when I hear ABBA. The clothes might not have survived the ages but their music has. Come on, sing along everybody.😀👍🎶❤️

There are certain songs in Britain which are like unofficial national anthems. Everyone from young to old seems to know the words and all join in and sing along. This is one of those tunes, along with Robbie William's Angels and Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

If I'm correct, most of these early music videos were pumped out quickly for Australian television. Molly Meldrum told them he can make them huge in Australia but he needed some videos to show on Countdown.
Big J!!! No one else has reacted to this!!! I love this song. Interesting how you're commenting on the lyrics. This song is so catchy I just listen to the music. All the different sections are so much fun to listen to I don't know why no one else has reacted to this. Catchy, ain't it?
Great song make sure everyone is giving a thumbs up Comment and sharing these with fb and twitter
Genius songwriter's! Their melodies are some of the best ever!
You should also check out their song "SOS", which John Lennon (yes, THAT John Lennon) once called "the greatest pop song ever"...

In context, it could also be asking someone if you'll sleep with them. (Do you want to?) Which they kinda indicate from the other lyrics. :)

It’s thanks to Australian fans that Abba made the bigtime!
I think their songs are timeless , so unique as well. My partners 4 year old requests this song every time she gets in my car . Could be because her name is Mia but she knows all the words .lol
Hey J, Love ABBA, they bring on the memories of back in the day...The movie Mamma Mia features their music is really good...Thanks sweetie, Peace

My favourite song is "What's the name of the game" Taken from the Movie, what was made. Loving your channel! Your doing an amazing job! Sending you L💛ve from England 💛💛
You have to watch Muriel's Wedding and react to it on your channel. The character in the movie, Muriel, is obsessed with ABBA. It's a must watch!
Best band ever ❤️!Chiquititta,Fernando,I have a dream, and so many more Great song's!
If I'm correct, most of these early music videos were pumped out quickly for Australian television. Molly Meldrum told them he can make them huge in Australia but he needed some videos to show on Countdown.
And Visitors please! It's a mini masterpiece!
Big J!!! No one else has reacted to this!!! I love this song. Interesting how you're commenting on the lyrics. This song is so catchy I just listen to the music. All the different sections are so much fun to listen to I don't know why no one else has reacted to this. Catchy, ain't it?
Great reaction, keep going down the ABBA rabbit hole Jayvee TV
