"Before You Watch" is my UA-cam series where I talk about an anime spoiler free. That way, people who aren't sure about watching it or not can get an idea about what they're getting into beforehand.

Oh! But if you are a bit confused and are still wanting a but more conclusion, I highly recommend the manga since it goes on for a lot longer. It's sad, but I feel like it gave the characters a needed conclusion. The final scene of the anime kinda references it, but... It just hits different, you know?

I think it's intentional. They want to make it an even open-ended ending more than the manga. Tbh I'm glad that they did that, because I could speculate what the ending is. If it follows the manga route, my eyes would never be any different than a broken dam....

Glad you liked it. The op/ed are still stuck in my brain years later. I don't remember it being quite so emotionally brutal, so I may have to watch it again. I tend to find that when the characters are mostly happy and positive that I relate to that and become happy and positive with them, rather than feeling down due to the situation they are in.

3:23 yep, for me also, this show feels so special in that my emotion for it gets stronger after watching it (potentially via re-experiencing it later either by rewatching or just thinking about it). For example, Amadare no Uta, the more I hear about it, the sadder I feel. I thought typically it's the other way around, but this show hits differently. It's like the emotion or learning experience is delayed or something. It's kind of a weird feeling.

When you mentioned singing with the raindrops it reminded me of a scene in the Raggedy Ann cartoon "The Enchanted Square" where a song is played on an organ to the sound of water dripping. By the way it's a 10-minute watch and it's about a blind girl learning to see through her imagination. I definitely suggest giving it a look. This is such an awesome series. I loved it when it came out in 2017 and I love it now too. I recently bought Vol4,5 and 6 of the manga. I couldn't buy the whole series but I wanted to know what happens after the anime ends, so I bought the last 3 volumes (the adaptation ends somewhere on vol4). Too bad that they didn't adapt the rest, maybe it'll come, crazier things have happened :D
This is one of the few shows where I love all the songs too. Have you heard the song Endless Journey? You didn't mention it in the video, so I'm not sure and also it doesn't appear in the anime, it was included in one of the CDs but you can find it on YT. At first I didn't like it but now it's awesome like the others :)
You said we can suggest animes so I'd like to suggest 1. If you know it, then you can ignore this suggestion, the anime is called School-live. If you don't know it, then don't look up anything, just watch episode 1 to not spoil anything. It is also only 12 episodes long.
