      When she saw him at the restaurant she shouldn’t have seen it as a coincidence. She should have seen it as a warning sign and had her guard way up. Problem is we enable this type of character and brush them off as just being weird, but they’re worse. They’re evil.

      She was sitting in her car scared because of a crazy stalker but never bothered to lock the car doors or remain aware of her surroundings. I don't think she was taking the situation seriously enough. In a world full of predators it's a bad idea to act like prey.

    • @section7173
      @section7173 2 роки тому +31

      @@roselikethewine She basically told him where she was going to be through the selfie with the caption of the restaurant and timeframe. Later on it's also mentioned that her friends could see her location via instagram location or something. Giving away that information while also dealing with a crazy stalker is not safe. It's like cliché teen horror movie mistakes - it's abhorrent what happened to her, but she basically walked right into it by giving the stalker opportunities he shouldn't have had.

      @@DT5913 When we're born we know absolutely nothing. So I blame the parents and schools and TV because they teach us everything to become obedient little workers but almost nothing on how to actually survive in life. And in school they'd prefer to teach pronouns instead of how to identify threats.

My point is that I WILL NOT put my fate in the hands of law enforcement and just HOPE that they actually take my dilemma seriously. Even if they do they can’t give me around the clock protection so I’m not going to live in fear of some psycho. It’s odd that this was never touched upon again in the video. I’d be curious to know how this person was dealt with. I have only an interest criminal law procedures and criminal psychology but from what I’ve gathered, wouldn’t this be akin to accessory to murder? “Akin” meaning I’m curious to know if there is a lesser charge to accessory to murder (as you’d need to be actively, not passively, involved in the murder itself)?
      It’s also odd to me that this person is obviously legally protected in some way since the tinder date’s identity is not revealed. This could be for two reasons: they’ve been cleared of any wrongdoing and are therefore being protected from the public and Joshua himself; or legal proceedings are still underway to determine the extent to which this person is culpable.
      In any case, whether they knew what Joshua was capable of or not, [edit] or if they’d been manipulated, it’s still a pretty spineless and perplexing act. It seems the only accountability this person faces is the few that actually know what their actions have resulted in.

    If you meet someone with really low self esteem and a lot of insecurities like this guy, you should take that as a huge red flag. Also, their emotions escalate fast. They will put on the biggest act to try to make you love then. They pretend to be your perfect, ideal partner. They may even study what you like, so they can try to become that. But the facade breaks inevitably. They can’t keep the act up forever. Someone that cares about you or loves you wants to see you happy, not own you, keep you on a short leash, and make you miserable. Guys like this are narcissistic creeps. Narcissists do not actually have an over-inflated self esteem, they always feel like they aren’t good enough (not perfect), but they’re terrified that you may see that, so they put on an act and instead of fixing their self, they try to manipulate other’s opinion of them. It’s lame and pathetic. They take no responsibility for their own bad behavior and would rather blame you for their words and actions. People like this DO NOT get better. You need to leave them because it only gets worse. But don’t just leave them, go no contact. If they try to force themselves into your life, get a restraining order. Or a protective order if you need one active asap. This is serious. These people are very sick and they have no clue how sick they are. They just can’t register that what they’re doing is wrong. They know the behavior is wrong only if it’s done against them. They are full of double standards.

Everytime I'd let him down easy by telling him to please leave me alone, he would just insult me and talk about how he'd murder me in aggressive ways. He was stalking me on and off for 8 months total. Everytime I thought it was over, he'd randomly message me threats and how he seen me somewhere or how he seen me getting my mail and carrying my mother up the steps. Mind you, it was only a one time encounter. I was only 19, I'm 21 now, and I was so scared. @@chelseasmith1426 that's funny because I am actually seeing kids ages 10-15 on the news fairly often for committing crimes like murdering their families over technology and going out and committing mass murder. A number of these kids have stabbed people to death and kept stabbing in a clear case pf over kill. And they too have mental illnesses. So yes, he behaved like a boy with severe mental illness. I'm not saying he shouldn't receive the death penalty for what he did. He should absolutely get the death penalty for it. But his brain was traumatized as a child and studies have shown that children who experience trauma like that will have development delays such as the hypersensitivity to rejection. To be clear I am not in any way saying it was the victim's fault. She rejected him for good reason and it was the right thing to do. And with the trauma he suffered there really isn't any way to fix it because he's already a very low functioning psychopath.

    • @clairenoon4070
      @clairenoon4070 Рік тому

      @@LoveBird-o8m The required and only sentence for murder in the UK is 'life imprisonment'. This means the sentence is imposed for the whole of the rest of your life.
      But, for example, people sentenced to, say, 20 years for a serious offence, will rarely serve the full 20 years in prison. They may be released earlier on good behaviour grounds and if considered suitable for early release. But they will remain 'on licence' for the remainder of the 20 years, and under a variety of requirements e.g. being tagged and curfewed, working with probation services, reporting in regularly to police, staying away from named places, staying away from named people, having regular drug testing, possibly having restrictions around use of electronic devices and social media - if child pornography offences, etc). Any breaches of licence conditions would likely result in a recall to prison.
      With life sentences, the judge is required to set the minimum tariff - in this case 26 years - before an offender may even be considered for release. But release could only happen if the court, after considering psychiatric reports, prison behaviour reports etc, was confident the offender was suitable for release. If it was felt they remained a threat to society they would not be released. Again, if they were released, this does not mean the end of their sentence; they would be on licence for the rest of their life, including the sorts of licence conditions previously described. They could be recalled to prison for any breach of licence conditions.
      The person in this video will, whatever happens, remain in prison until he is at least 50 years old. He may never be released, if never assessed as being fit for release.
      There is an exception, which is a 'whole life tariff', which applies to cases of the very highest level of seriousness, where offenders will never be released from prison.

People don't do that normally.

      Nothing to do with the justice system.... They can't be with people in gyms and bars 24/7 If they did, then they wouldn't get any work done. We need to stop putting accountability on the police, they are not nannies of the state..... Social media is the demon, the girl knew she was exposed and going tp a local gym alone then confronting him and taking pictures to post to friends, was irresponsible. People need to stop posting their lives online, sure, everyone is entitled to do what they want with their life, but to be honest, knowing he was a Psycho and literally admitting it vocally and in messages to friends should have been enough of a red flag for her to at least go offline for a while. He was bipolar, mentally ill, and antagonised.... She is not to blame for her death or circumstances, but we all have a responsibility to take heed, and take precautions for our own welfare.. Molly was literally naive, displaying her whole world online k owing he was envious of her, and it was all done constantly right under his nose. She should never have been alone, or felt so comfortable to have been. She should never have been within even one radius of him, but it seems she was...... Sadly, the maniac found an opportunity to take her life, but I wonder if she had taken different steps to avoid him, and not post every miniscule detail of her daily life so he could trackher every move, would things have truly been different....who knows!!
