Nice score on the goldies, and center caps. Looks great! Nerd fact for those that may not be aware, the S models are heavily derived from the NBR 24 Challenge car, which is where it got the grey BBS on Rally Blue colorway.
-2.8 front and -1.4 rear is perfect for sti + super 200tw tire is just another level up. Additionally good corner balancing with driver weight and correct fuel amount after coil-over install is crucial in achieving podium places in subaru sti. Brake boosting out of the turn in this thing should feel like a rocket.
The god looks better on the blue and the gray would look best on the white. Seems like they got this mixed up good thing you made it right! Maybe next time around go with the Moton suspension as they can be upgraded in the future from 1-way all the way up to the 4-way.
Very nice looking wheels. They go perfectly with the world Rally Blue STIs. I own a 2020 World Rally Blue STI and I live in Oceanside ca. My Bluebaru forever. Subies forever man. A great video brother.
@@TheLastS209yeah they look great, I just wanna go down to 18s eventually and get more tire for daily driving. The gold/blue combo is perfect. Classic JDM look.
Thank you for the amazing content! How did you determine the spring rates, which sound high? Did you aim for a target undamped natural frequency of the sprung mass to calculate the ideal spring rate? If yes, what frequency were you aiming for? Just wondering if I do the same. But my car is also driven on the road, so I do not want to go too high with the frequency.
Thanks for your comment! I used this article from rce to determine the suspension frequency I wanted: www.racecompengineering.com/blogs/the-apex-files/spring-rates-part-2-suspension-frequencies I am at 2.6 hz front, 2.7 hz rear. Apparently it's better to have higher rear frequency for something called "flat ride". I can tell you with the MCS suspension, at 1 click compression it is just good enough to ride on the street, but any further compression damping will make the ride awful. If you want a more comfortable street ride, I would recommend 8k f/9k r spring rate. Thanks for watching!
BTW, I found it helpful to compare a calculation to a measurement and I used my iPhone as the hardware and an app called Vibration Pro from Diffraction Limited Design. I placed the phone near the front axis and back axis and pushed the car into its natural frequency. I was surprised how well it worked.
Nice!! Tyres and wheels!! You sound like you know a hell of a lot more about tyres than I do so I'd like to ask your opinion on the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06? For street and light track?
@@fredastaire6156 nah if it's just a street car and you don't want to buy tires frequently then you can buy dws06. Otherwise it's not a tire you should ever take to the track
any Information about the MCS 2way? I´m interested in the 2 way remote. Currently driving a KW V3 with KW CS top hats with addjustable Camber. Lovely Journey with your car and those mods!
I have the 2 way nonremotes and they completely transformed the car. At this point the improvement with the car will have to come from me as a driver. Highly recommend them, they should be a step ahead of the kw. I ordered through vorshlag and used their camber plates
@@sangheli123 I just wanted to start with a 2 way adjustable, I don't feel my driving is at the level of needing remotes yet. In the future I might upgrade, the great thing is these can be upgraded to remotes when it's time for a rebuild

@@TheLastS209 Nice! I actually have some Rev7s in that spec on order and they should be here in 2 months. I was also debating between some RI-As but I didn't want to commit to such an aggressive offset.
do they have to be the gray bbs? plenty of other nice gray 19x8.5, 19x9 wheels out there. I like the offerings from Mach V Motorsports, specifically their 10-spoke crucial wheel. They also have some Rota that are similar to the BBS.
Nope, vorshlag decided not to put a helper spring on. It's fine when running on track, but whenever I do work on the car I need to make sure the springs are seated on all four corners. When I rebuild them I will definitely get helpers. Thanks for watching!
... why not something else like the GTWORX/BILSTEIN Sport fixed perch damper specifically for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX and STI (VA chassis). Still needs top mounts or you can reuse your own.
