  • Alan is reunited with his Subaru WRX and gets to work installing new wheels, tires, and BC Racing Coilovers so he can dial in his fitment and up the handing performance. The Motegi Battle 5's (18 x 9.5 +38) wrapped in 265mm tires are a tight fit, but the adjustability and ride quality of the BC Coilovers makes it work with a little bit of self clearance for an almost hella flush fit. Stay Tuned to see what is next for the VB WRX!

Looks great! And it also looks like we are neighbors now, I live right down the road from you. I recognize your neighborhood from this video.

I've also done the 6 pot brembo wire paragon rotors... currently stock wheels with 20mm spacer. Interesting to see how your wheels will clear fhe calipers. If was doing it again, I'd just do longer studs with a sinple disk spacer. Fastwrx have 42mm offset wheels that clear those calipers.

Well, any input on the caliper colors? I'm having a hard time deciding...

I owned wrx/sti’s for 10 years, now I daily a focus st 🤦‍♂️ i miss my throaty ass EJ25’s, kills me everytime I see these new FA24’s on dyno making 400whp & 400lbft torque damn near bone stock with just a little ethanol 😅 I’m dyno tuned locally here near Pittsburgh at Early Performance fbo my ST made 286whp & 346lbft of torque but I will say this little eco boost has been 3x more reliable in the last 3 years of ownership then my last 08-14 wrx I had over 20k in that car lol but absolutely loved that raw power feeling at 3k rpm’s very few cars like it.

Alan is about 4 hours outside of HTown, and we include stickers with all OEM part orders! I'm also working on some new T-shirt designs now...

They are so different, tiny FWD vs standard AWD. What does everyone think?

I tune a lot of FiST's and I really like them with the right turbo setup. You need to upgrade turbo and probably also fuel system to get a Fist to run as fast as one of these, and this also has awd. Doing a 1st and second gear pull with traction and 400wtq is nuts.

@@jackofalltrades3132 I’ve had a FiST before with FBO+x37 but that was many years ago.
I’d probably go with the s280 , seems to be the best bang for the buck. But yeah traction is a factor but Subaru’s just spook me in terms of handling power and being reliable

@@SWEETVENOM100 the VB’s seem to be pretty reliable. Going on 2 years now and not really hearing of any blown motors. I know a few people have, but seems to be the ones pushing to find the failure points. Heck.. mine has seen 8500 rpm twice now and is still kicking. I mis shifted at the drag strip and a friend of mine mis shifted it on a road course. And, I abuse the crap out of this thing.

@@jackofalltrades3132 how’s the shifter , and thanks for the info. I had a 2023 Gti dsg and loved it but no steering feel when in the twistiest. I would get the EN but Hyundai is never reliable. Had the 11th Gen Si , shifter and steering feel were super nice but slow as shit

They are the best for the money, anything less and you are going to have a bad time.
