‘Saturate your mind with nothing but beauty’. Absolutely on point👌. Just taken it up myself, and you capture what it’s all about. Wonderful editing, and a great message👍
Love your videos Stephen, your sunset paddle was like the start of the notebook movie 😂 looking forward to the next adventure 😀 onions on the go pro and all......
Stephen one of you best videos yet. Looked great and very informative. The countryside is so lush and doing the board and the drone is a feat. Thank you for sharing.
A cracking video, just what the doctor ordered for a Monday morning. I watch one video then it leads onto another one of your videos, best channel on UA-cam 👍. Bring on the next one.
thanks! I tried it once since but forget to bring anything for my legs so had cold ankles all night. but it works perfectly if you remember something to keep you lower legs warm. Best solution is wear it normally with the hood up and stick legs in a spare hoody or something
Fantastic video. I'm amazed with the quality of your work with only your main Camera, a GoPro, X3, & a DJI Mini. So well done! Thanks for sharing your fun adventures!!
Thank you! 🙂 I actually did a recce shoot the previous week with my high end mirrorless camera and a big zoom lens to capture a lot of the wildlife footage ahead of the actual trip
Wow just found you Stephen greeting video look forward to catching a load more. Love paddleboarding camping etc. I'm on board fella. That's my dad's area around toome ❤
I love swimming even in a sea, but I am terrified of it in the same time….i don’t think I’d enjoy being on a sea for a long time seeing nothing but sea….water is certainly not my passion, so I admire when it is for others…but I found inland water to be very peaceful…although it can get wild and scary at times as well…definitely fascinating by wild streams in the mountains, but I love peacefulness of this…never tried paddle boarding only kayaking, but if ever opportunity arises I might give it a try…love all the water videos you made so far. The sunset shots omg!! Treat for an eye 👏 how did those cows got there? 😂 this was a special trip to watch.
The cows live there, it wasn’t an island, just a thin strip of land attached to a bigger field. The cows were far away when we pitched and we couldn’t see them
😂 Great stuff. The drone footage is amazing, it's great to see it from that angle. The whole place is pretty special, and the sunsets just add to the magic. You have done it justice, and more. 👌
Hi, just wanted to ask about the little orange telescopic paddle/oar jobbie I saw you tucking into the front of your boards net? Not seen one of those before, Really enjoyed the video
@@StephenJReid I took a training session on Loch Leven With Rough Coast Glencoe early this month while on holiday and loved it! We both now own boards and are obsessed SUP'ers. Will be planning Camping adventures for next year when my SUP skills are up to it!
😅I met Gavin last summer, great guy, he was coaching and hiring at Ballyroanan, a few miles south of Toomebrigde. He had very decent hire, school equipment.
You could try a kayak, lots of comfort sitting down. You could also try one of the camping blankets to keep warm during the night, I think snugpak do one for under £40. Loved the video, thought at first you would set off from Portglenone and sail to Church Island.
Always check for fresh cow poo before picking a camping spot! I nearly got caught out on the shore of lough neagh a couple of weeks ago. I had my lunch where you camped one day last winter and then had a lot of bother getting back under the road bridge at Toome as there was so much flow😃
Definitely get comfortable and confident with the board before heading on a camp. Took me over a year to get confident enough. Loads of extra things to think about but its a great way to go camping
Another great video Stephen, I'm hoping to take my inflatable kayak on the blackwater river and camp on coney island on lough neagh sometime this summer
Thanks Damien 🙂 just make sure you check the forecast 1000 times. My big fear is getting stuck on an island after paddling out in good weather that changes overnight
I loved the video - it is fun (the guys and the cows), beautiful (landscape) and interesting (SUP stuff). Wow. BTW, where did you get the little bag attached to the handle of the SUP. Looks very practical for little things... Didn't find it in your link list... Thank you!
Not for me; particularly in gator-ridden Florida. But I was impressed how the inflatable paddle board doesn’t look inflatable once it was inflated. Looks like a normal one.
Yikes, yeah helps that there are no gators here! yeah the inflatable boards are super rigid when inflated. very high pressure, 20psi. they feel rock solid.
Gavin is passionate about them padle board and knows his stuff, top bloke.
he does indeed!
Setting aside our troubled history, Northern Ireland really is the most beautiful place on earth. Beautifully filmed loved it.
Yup it really is and we don't appreciate it enough at times as we get distracted by more urban issues.
And that accent is just wonderful 👍🏻👍🏻😊
‘Saturate your mind with nothing but beauty’. Absolutely on point👌. Just taken it up myself, and you capture what it’s all about. Wonderful editing, and a great message👍
Thank you 🙂 Gavin is full of wise words
For me anyway, the music is very powerful at 9:40. Goes so well with the drone shots. All round a great and therapeutic watch
Thanks! 🙂

Beautiful sunset. Great video, paddleboard camping, cow disco. Brilliant.
Thanks Alyson! 🙂
Some brilliant moves with the cattle.❤❤

Thank you! Everything lined up perfectly for this one
What a summer you are having, thanks for bringing us along
Thanks David! Making the most of the good weather while I can 🙂
Excellent content and footage. I’m going to give paddle boarding a try at my local boat club. Could be interesting because I have one leg!
That will be interesting! Assuming you’d be using a prosthetic?

I hope this new direction works for the channel Stephen because I for one am really enjoying them. Brilliant!
Thanks Paul! Finally just making the videos I want to make and concentrating on bigger concepts.
The sleeping bag/coat/quilt is genius

Wow 👌 I love wild camping and I've recently got a paddle board I can't wait to put them together and have a great time. Safely first obviously..
It’s a lot of fun! 🙂
You always look happy Stephen, love your videos so much
I’m probably as grumpy as much as the next person but try and keep things positive on here. Plus I’m happiest when I’m outdoors 🙂
Some of the best content on youtube, highly underrated stuff right here, love it all mate!

@@StephenJReid ahhhhh, lol so there really is a wizard behind the curtain! hahhaha
Brilliant vid as usual, loved the crazy cow/ camper montage and the setting (sun) was stunning!
Thanks Jonathan! Very pleased we got such great conditions!
This is extremely reminiscent of my wife and I's sail camping along the Columbia River here in Oregon. Including the Cows! Loved the video!
Glad you enjoyed it Daniel! Unfortunately the weather is rarely this perfect
Stunning footage Stephen, what a sunset 🌅 and super location 👌
Thanks Nick! Almost as good as a sunset at McClellands pint!

Awesome little adventure with some stunning imagery! Cows weren't very impressed with your morning routine though ;-)
Thanks! Yeah those cows were udderly unimpressed

Emergency paddle. Not specifically designed for paddleboarding but would work in a pinch. amzn.to/3Q9NWwH
I loved the wee exhale when you caught the drone 😂. . Nicely done !!
Always relieved to stick a paddle landing!!!

Having tried paddle boarding for the first time today. Fair play carrying all that gear too.
Thanks! The extra weight does add stability by lowering the center of gravity

Thanks! 🙂 church Island from Portglenone would have been at least 5 times the distance, wanted to keep it shorter for a first trip like this.
Whenever i see a paddleboard, i immediately think it's nearly a boat. Just needs sides, seats maybe a transom if you're lazy like me... 😂
Seriously though, such a beautiful adventure. Thanks!
😂 Thanks!
Awesome sunset footage 👊🏼
Thanks Paul!
you just mirrored my own thoughts about the water ! or at least open bodies of water, sooo peaceful but also quyite scarey
100/10 video

Oh yeah that bridge is a real bottleneck, I've paddled through it on a windy day and that was tricky!
Spectacular video
thanks!
Imagine waking up to see THAT! 25:32 😱 Those poor cows must be traumatised.
They will tell tales of this day years from now
Just got my mrs a paddle board and i have a two man inflatable kayak. Will get some practice in and find somewhere to wild camp next year

The Ministry Of Silly Dances 😂
Amazing stuff, loved it.❤❤
Thanks Alan!
Really fab great video how good is the compact board ? Many thanks
I really like it, has the batons that go in the side and I inflate to 20PSI so it’s solid and really light.
The seat can go in the unknown pocket on the bag.
Funny video was 👀👍😜
What a beautiful spot Stephen or is your real name ‘Dances With Cows’?
They have accepted me as one of their own
What camera and mount/stick are you using on the front of the board to give the third person perspective please?
It’s a insta360 X3 on one of their invisible selfie sticks attached to the action mount with a mini magic arm
You should go to the wallaby island in loch lomond
I'll try and remember that one!
do you have a list of all your kit in this video you can post.. like buoyancy aid
List in description 🙂
@StephenJReid I see that but can't see life jacket me being dyslexic don't help haha 😆

15:40- Ooh no; unless you take really good care of your feet after hikin’, that could become a regrettable idea over time.
my feet were very clean from being in the water
