The regendering is mostly innofensive, but they traded up a character inspired by Curly Howard with the speech pattern of Rodney Dangerfield (the greatest stand up comic of all time, arguably) and swapped that out for a stereotypically loud black chick.
It's 2021, it's time to accept that Three Stooges references were never funny. And you need more to a cartoon character than just a celebrity impression.

@@eviljoel Bro, Three Stooges are quintessential comedy and I'm 24. They are literally timeless and if you can't find joy in that your objectively stupider (yes I know thats not a real word) than the Stooges themselves
Uhm...thats exactly the reason they had to change Jabberjaw, they were afraid of them being sued by the right holders this wasnt even going to be the first Jabberjaw was a girl she was already one in SCOOB
People love different things.
I just hope that Jellystone is in a different continuity.
Pretty sure they are.
the way she say Magilla just makes me so mad idk why

Jabberjaw ain't Jabberjaw without the curly Howard persona
I think we'll be fine without it
@@BubbyBold possibly but is just sucks out of all of them jabberjaw just lost what made him.
@@Fatone1927 Jabberjaw was essentially Shark Scooby Doo.
@@diegomedina9637 not going to argue about that. Barbara often rip them selves alot but they were at least different a bit. To be honest I just don't like how they got rid his curly personality I would have been fine if this was his granddaughter or something
@@Fatone1927 So it was a rip off of 2 characters then?
I want the full episode🥺
They even got rid of the iconic curly nuyk
Jabberjaw is a woman now.
Who gives a shit, it's a magical talking shark.
@@blacktainfalcon7097 I don't think Jabberjaw is magical. Also, if you liked Jabberjaw for his curly Howard impression you're not going to be pleased with this change.
@@phoebeaurum7113 the shark talks and breathes out of water. Would you not consider that magical??
@@blacktainfalcon7097 well his a cartoon so logic is already out the window.
@@Fatone1927 yeah so who cares if the shark is voiced by a female then?
Why did they change the characters and the voices? They’re just the designs now
To keep it fresh. The og jabberjaw had 0 personality anyways
Because most of the old HB characters were either really bland or just imitations of other stuff.
aren’t half of them dead?
@@catch3588 You can keep it fresh and still keep in tact the great voice acting that came with the original characters. If you change too much of the source material then eventually all you're left with are names and a loose design. It may as well have been a show that had nothing to do with the Hanna Barbera characters.
Jabberjaw was an awful show and his voice was an impression of Curly Howard, which is a much more interesting voice than what they did here. "Normal voices" for cartoons is so fucking boring and overdone these days, it used to be an ironic joke that cartoons talked normal but now it's the most common style. Where is the fun in the voice acting?
@@LuneyTune72 counterpoint, jelly stone is for a new audience and they’re not making it for old fans but for kids who don’t know what the three stooges are. It’s just not made for us

Very confusing and wrong. 😑
So, Magilla is a geek now and both Jabberjaw and Hokey wolf are women? Ok then?
That is Loopy De Loop not Hokey Wolf
Who cares
Most of the Hanna Barbera characters were males and I think they didn't noticed that before thinking of the village,so when they noticed it they might have thought "isn't it a little weird a town of 98% males?"
