Hey just found your Video. I just got a TRI AN/PRC-152. So far I can’t find any tutorials that match this particular model regarding programming/saving channels. Any that you might know of?
I’ve heard the TCA version is the better to go version in terms of out of the box no need to do any mods when using a real nexus u94 or tea or Peltor ptt and then Peltor comtacs or sordin headset. Any plans to get a TCA version am do a comparison? Also if you have a real mil surp ptt an Peltor or sordin headset could you do a vid on that?
Guns&trucks Lucas Goodman any other future vids on this? I’m doing my homework and trying to find out compare an contrast from the tri vs the TCA. One thing I e heard too is over time, the threading for the ptt adapter and antenna tend to come loose. Remedy for it being to take the front off, add some loctite an then should be good to go. I’m on the tri/TCA group I’m Facebook where they discuss this common problem.
I owned z tac headset and are planning to get TRI prc 152 including ptt, is it still compatible? If it's not what radio set i should get(other than walkie talkie like icom ,Baofeng, etc)? Not planning on getting rid of my old headset
Z tac you should be fine using a new gen tri 152 (10w or 15w). And a real ptt. I run real comtacs and a real msa u-94 ptt no issue at all with my 10w tri 152
No. I use tri radio and antenna (spare battery is a real Harris battery). My ptt is a MSA nexus U-94 and headset currently is a real 3m peltor comtac iii dual comms
@@gbbrworld4759 Hey Guns&trucks, Maybe you want to check eBay today (eBay item number:163653044911 for the cable and 163763723595 for the software) What to you think, would it work;-)
This is a Harris knock-off for roughly $300........ It's a plain jane radio with a hot RF section this is not FCC compliant Parts 90. That means that if your not a licenced Ham radio operator and you are using this radio you are in violation with up to a $10,000 fine. You might not care, but ham radio users care since many of these radios are being used to jam and or disrupt radio communications. This radio does NOT HAVE P25, or Project 25 or APCO 25. This radio is analog only, no digital, not encryption except for voice shifting. If you go to the Harris website, their radios go from about the $6,000 and up with real multiband capabilities of low band VHF-UHF, 700 Mhz, 800 Mhz, 2.4 Ghz networking, P25 and all other types of digital TX&RX. Playing Army, even fake EQ can be a pain in the ass for real life soldiers and first responders. Respect the LAW..... or Enlist or become a first responder, then you will get the real EQ.
If you want to play army, by all means use a Chinese built radio to rely on. If you want something designed, mil-spec then get radios that have a tested history.
I didn’t know this was for air soft. I was looking for refresher training on how to load crypto for CT with a TKL into a real radio. My bad…
You sold me. Thank you!
So this does in fact accept standard MilSpec 6 pin connectors?

Ever have some one lock you out by keying you nonstop
Could I get your email? I'd like to ask you a few questions about how to use this radio and I can't find a way to DM you
It's a glorified Baofeng 8w internals inside an aluminum body

@@36w3s.talbot4 that’s cool. How many Harris PRC’s do you own? There’s one for sale on eBay for $9,000 if you want that one.
I could give a shit FCC laws they’re not enforced anymore and the only people who get mad about it are old people in their basement
You know it’s unlawful to transmit on the FRS frequencies with over .5 watt of power. Also to use GMRS frequencies you need an FCC license.
“Thales” is pronounced like “Tal-ess”
