"Oh Link...I'm home" i literally tear up every time i hear this voice line, it just... ugh. It's so well-deserved for this Zelda.
Aye aye! 🎉
Yep and finally the cycle of demise has ended, just like end of wind waker and twilight princess and adventure of link it is over
Link and Zelda can now in all three of those timelines and era of botw/totk can rest and finally it be permanent
Sure there are likely other evils in the world of Hyrule in other lands but the cycle of hate and reincarnation is finally over
My excuse for the plotholes is that some of the Zelda sightings were real. At the start when you get recall, its left by the strength of Zelda’s will so the Zelda sightings that led them to the secret stones were at least influenced by the real Zelda which would explain how Ganon was unaware. But thats just a theory, A GAME THEORY.
@@ellioa3978 the side quest where you meet that team in their underwear confirms that she before going into past that she told them something that they misunderstood
However Zelda is a dragon while the new sages gain the stones, the likely scenario is the three goddesses and the sages of past
In fact it is that, each new sage hears the voice of the original sages and Ganondorf was too proud and such to even care cause he thought link and such were cowards and what not
He was so arrogant that he believed that they were easy to deal with, even when he finds out that is not the case he still writes it off
And that is what I like about this incarnation of him, we seen him cocky and arrogant before but that Ganon was cunning and knew when a serious threat had to be dealt with
This Ganondorf is basically a Ganon that did not go through all the hardships and what not his previous incarnation went through
He does not have the experience the Ganondorf we know had, and this Ganondorf is likely young that Ganondorf in ocarina and so forth was at least in his forties maybe fifties
This Ganondorf I believe was at least in his late twenties early thirties, so makes sense he would be completely ignorant and full of himself
Also you are partly right, Zelda in ancient past had planned everything including awakening new sages
Another reason Ganondorf did not know cause he was sealed underground and his cycle of rebirth as calamity Ganon had not begun yet
Also cause he was sealed he would be unaware of time passing, so to him he probably thought the sages dead and stones gone until he met the new sages
Of course this is just my interpretation of what is going on
It would have been so fitting if Mineru's secret stone had gone to Purah after Mineru moved on. . . Hopefully, in a dlc. . .
I thought the same thing! I was expecting that to happen!
But from the looks of it she has no power of her own and the tears can’t make powers for you , although maybe she knows sheika shiz ? But I sought it unfortunately
Nintendo has been pretty clear they have no plans to continue with ToTK in DLC or another game in this series unfortunately. So the next Zelda title won't be part of this duology
Can we take a moment to think about the fact Ganondrofs reply and revenge to the Zoras was basically drowning them in waste? Like, as weak as they are to that gross looking gunk, I can't help but think he was making a statement with that one by raining it down on them and letting them suffer for siding with Hyrule. In that, "This is all that you are to me!" sort of way.
I was more than happy when the sages were responsible for beating their own bosses.
That CATCH ZELDA is beautiful and all, until they hit the water.
That physics defing feat really takes away all the tears of the moment.
9:30 is my favorite line 😂😂
Playing Tears of the Kingdom while listing to the lore of Tears of the Kingdom.
This is a good moment.
I have my issues with some of the plot holes and stuff but my god no other zelda game has ever made me cry so much! so beautiful
What did?
The only Loz game where IT IS A LEGEND ABOUT ZELDA!!!! OMG!!!! Very well done video.

More lore from the best lore lady! Tis a good day.
Your videos have such emotion in them. I am binge watching your channel and have never seen lore videos so emotional as how you make them. You approach characters and plot lins from a human perspective while not demishing the sometimes outlandishness of the context that they find themselves in. It's truly wonderful and you should be very proud of what you have made.
Honestly, I could listen to you narrate anything. Great content. New sub for sure
Oh I'm so glad I wasnt the only one who took that long to find the autobuild ability... Thanks for the reassurance :)
Idea
As link decends into the ruins,he brushed the walls nostalgically. This was a fools errands. He knew this. For the concequences of centurys past are still evident.
Grabbing from his pack...was a helm. Of a sort. But it seemed broken. Hollow.
Looking at raurus stone...he gets a idea.
Setting the hollow regalia down, link sat.
"Midna...please. i dont know how stuck you still are...even with everything...i need your help."
Silence. Just as it was in its aftermath.
But the hand glows.
With rewind, link can not rewind time on a massive scale. But thats not needed.
At last in the silence of shadow... something answered his beg for help
Amidst the darkness of the ruins...a wolf arrives. A familar one. A lupine creature made of shadow. Born from a curse turned boon.
The wolf looks at the hollow regalia. Then to link himself. Kneeling its head,it dissipates. And the shadows flow through him. And the words emerge in his thoughts.
Deep inside your deepest minds...
Link makes a motion with raurus hand.
Hides a place where light is blind...
Powers thought gone from this world flowed through links new arm.
Emerge out of the depths and show me what you hide....
And link emerges out of the ruins. this miracle would not be wasted.
Even after every reincarnation link recalls flickering memorys of the hero of twilight. And centurys after all this time...the power of the twilight realm has seeped into reality,in the briefest moments of miracle.
*You now gain:Midnas shadow.*
Ok correction 30:50 is my favorite 😂😂😂
You should do ff7 8 and 9 as lore videos would be awesome. Keep up the great work love the videos! Dont trust the smiling man, majoras mask videos are my favorite its magnificently done!
I’ve binged your entire series of Zelda lore. If you take requests- I think I would weep if you did wind waker. That game has gotten some flack but it’s truly such a beautiful game and has some of the best story elements
I love how you create an atmosphere with the way you talk and your tone of voice but then you have a hilarious fourth wall break just to make a personal comment about what’s going on before continuing on telling the story. It just adds so much fun to an already great experience in both your videos and the game.
34:51 *Ganondorf rehydrates*
No better way to start the day then with a new lore video😊
It would have been funny if Zelda woke up missing teeth and fingernails because Link kept harvesting Light Dragon parts to upgrade his armor.
"What did you do to me?"
"I dunno, the fairies wanted chunks of your dragon form."
Seeing the tears with that mask is probably the best thing to ever happen 😂
I loved watching all the Zelda videos. WE NEED WIND WAKER AND SKYWARD SWORD!
You are such a good storyteller! I love the Zelda lore videoseries, so far your take on Majoras Mask was my favourite but your TotK series is a close second! I was surpriced how different order you played the game - in my playthrough, I went straight to Kakariko village and I did all the depth stuff rather early on in the game
It’s a good day
I did many of these events in a completely different order. I got autobuild before even showing Josha the picture of the statue. I did all the tears after the first sage (Tulin) and got the Master sword. At some point visited lost woods while mapping the depths fought the rest of the kohga fights around this point. Found mineru while brute forcing my way through the storm to find shrines. *Then* I went to meet phantom zelda, pretty much 1 shotting the phantom hoard with a greatsword charge attack. Back at the lookout, everyone was surprised that I already met mineru and had this master sword (despite having it the entire time) and basically just said ok fight Ganon.
And no, I didn't get any outside info before hand to avoid spoiling the game.
I really like how you pepper in some of your critiques with these videos, like how Ganondorf was boring
LOL Did the inverse of this playthrough. Spent majority of the time in the depths without abusing teleportation/quick travel and I cheesed alot of the narrative. And when coming topside was kind of lost. So, the only other place to progress the story was Kakariko Village and found out about the dragon tears quest.
Boy, were they surprised I had the Master Sword at hand while following a phantom Zelda in the other new sage quests.
That ending was a tear jerker.
I mean, its kind of shit that they undid all the sacrifices, and consequences
What a stellar series of videos ❤️👏👏👏👏
Great episode.
Yay! More lore :D
How is Ganondorf's Secret Stone on his forehead and not in his tummy after he eats it?
The random costume swaps are gold
Best use of "like a bitch" in 2023.
does link forever have that zonai arm now
The “like an absolute bitch” has me rolling at 9:30
The best lore lady this side of the pond
The Mucktorok and the Muck Like are two of the most innovative enemies in zelda history with one of the dumbest combat mechanics ever made since super mario sunshine: just spray water at it 😔
all the side quests lol. and he helps create cheese.
amazing
I don’t think Gannondorf was unseated that Link was alive. He called him the fabled swordsman who had persisted in slaughtering his servants, so he had to have at least known that was going on. He also lured Link to him, so it couldn’t have been that he just found out in that moment
After Mineru's passing wouldnt that mean that a new sage of spirit would be born?
So, is there just NOT going to be a sage of spirit or soul or whatever that last stone was? (And more importantly, why was it even Mineru's "time" if she's supposed to be an effectively immortal spirit? At best, shouldn't she be able to go between the afterlife and at will forever - and at worst, shouldn't she be able to just stay around as a spooky ghost possessing stuff to use as a physical body?)
Mineru was the second sage I found. Idk how they didn’t expect me to go into the cool storm clouds. Kinda messed up that whole quest for me
I dont enjoy playing the new zelda games so imma just listen to these. Lol
... huh?...
@@vicenteisaaclopezvaldez2450 i’d rather watch lets plays then play certain games too.
Good times when Zelda theorists were basically like tauro and calip admit the zonai before this game.
The mucktorok looks weird as hell. I strongly dislike the squishy purple bastard, but the shark is cool
"the strongest the Master Sword has ever been"... and yet it still breaks after just a few swings. BotW and TotK make the Master Sword feel nearly worthless compared to every other Zelda game.
When I finished the game there was actually an odd red in the splash at the end of the game when they hit the water. Think it was just my game messing up, but seemed more real that way because such a fall would be horrible.
Also, how many people did Minaru piss off just leaving like that without telling everyone about the Zonai.
Nice work, but I could've done WITHOUT the sarcasm.
I don't want Link to be in any official "romantic" relationships. I don't even want it hinted at. I just feel like going down that road, would totally destroy the core of all the games, which is ADVENTURE and EXPLORATION. I feel it would ruin that magic of just being able to wander around, fighting monsters, helping NPC's, collecting neat items, etc. Games like the Zelda series doesn't need to have romantic plots in it to give motivation to defeat the great evil. Life in general for ALL LIVING CREATURES AND PEOPLE is in jeopardy when that happens, and if that isn't motivation enough for the Hero to act, well, then that's a pretty callous and self centered Hero. While I do think Nintendo can do romance plots fairly well (MUCH BETTER than SE, that's for sure!), but Zelda is just one of those series that doesn't need it. It just depends on the series itself, and whether the circumstances in said series actually call for said plots. As far as I've seen, the Zelda series just hasn't had a need for such plots, and it should stay that way. ✌😌
So much lazy writing on these stories, they have to stop doing this or storytelling may stop being art to become a mechanic BS factory. I know you probably won't read this but I'll try anyway...
I think you have to go back to visit some big adventures. If you think Chrono Trigger was an excellent story then you should go for:
- "Legend of Legaia" (a story about a world submerged in a mysterious curse called the Myst which transformed a blessing from the gods into a nightmare)
- "Alundra" (a dark story dealing with ancient gods, dreams and heavy character involvement on a small village full of regular people each interesting in their own way and their haunted dreams)
- "Legend of the Dragoon" (a story dealing with remnants from a dark past, a prophecy which may bring destruction, those who have tried to prevent the cataclysm for thousands of years and those who wish for it to happen)
- "The "Ys" Saga" (the adventures of Adol Christen, the so called "adventurer" thanks to whom this age was named "the Age of discovery". His adventures were documented on his own travel log, divided on more than a 100 volumes)
All of the Ys games offer excellent story telling but:
- "Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana" (the story of the Lombardia and its crew, a ship stranded on a cursed island called "The Isle of Seiren" which hides lots of secrets, the survivors must explore the island, look out for more survivors and try to defend themselves from ancient beasts thought to have existed only on a distant past. This gets expanded on a "the more you play the worse it gets" basis so I won't spoil it anymore)
If you think you are brave enough to try and make sense of it, go for the heavy hitter:
- "Xenogears" (the story of Fei Fong Wong a regular villager and Elly Van Houten a Gear pilot for the imperial capital, they met by chance and face a destiny together in a world at war where many factions pursue their own agenda... but this story goes beyond this time, the world beggining is almost at the end of the story, many lives have been lived and connected through the "Contact" who is used by god to preserve its existence and in time, his return to this world. Xenogears is only the fifth chapter of a story with four unknown chapters only hintted through the story, but I already said too much...)
Yeah, those are old games with simple graphics for todays standards but I assure you, you won't find better stories out there
Too much cursing!!!!
