- Yes, the Beyond is almost the same size as a Quest 3 controller.
Also, this is not a super detailed review, but more like a first impressions video. But let me know in the comments if you want a full review of the Bigscreen Beyond!

Love how you actually edit the gameplay to look like what you saw in the headset! Very cool and helpful.
i was so sick of seeing lovers vs haters in the reviews for this. finally nice to see an honest review with actual critiques. not "this bad, this good" bullet points.
This is a big leap in your vr journey bro congrats! Been here since the quest 2 days :)
Same I started vr when PlayStation vr 1 came out
@HegehogOfficial thats not really what i meant
The stutter-but-not-a-stutter you're describing sounds a lot like when the headset is forced to rely entirely on reprojection for a moment.
SteamVR has a dashboard you can pull up either on the PC or in the headset that will show a frametime graph.
Green good, yellow is reprojection w/ motion smoothing (reliant on the headset AFAIK), orange is reprojection without smoothing, red means it's running at 1/3rd fps.
I noticed the stutter-but-not-a-stutter is almost always a little yellow spike, sometimes a small yellow block on the time-graph. According to the frametimes, it should be the same effective FPS, but it sure doesn't feel like it.
There's a painful list of 22 known issues that the steamvr community has put together. It takes some searching but it's worth finding. In my case, I had to turn off Windows's Hardware-Accelerated GPU scheduling, and close Vanguard.
I managed to fixed it by deleting the Nvidia app MSI after burner. No clue why that worked.
@@MichaelZhao Ah yep, afterburner and similar hw monitors are one of the most common causes. They still don't play well with HMDs for some reason.
The common assumption is that the hw monitors' polling method and/or frequency causes VR headsets to hitch.
I bought virtual desktop and everything improved. My future quest 3 is gonna be awesome. Get it on quest store, doesn't work the other way around. I kept seeing people say it was the answer and it is for me.
Very Underrated You deserve atleast 2mil views on this. Love your content!
Thank you!
" is that a berret suppressor?!" No its a toilet paper roll 😂
It made me laugh to
I can say Yes it is incredibly expensive requirements for the bigscreen beyond , gladly I already have a really good steamVR setup and PC that can handle VR iv got 4 base stations 2.0 with 9 vive 3.0 trackers, and a Quest 3 running on Virtual desktop for complete wireless with my full body tracking, my main pc spec's RTX 4070 12GB Vram / 32 GB ram and a Ryzen 7 5800x CPU looking at this video it looks like a really good upgrade over the Quest 3 maybe I should get one myself later on when I can afford one a bigscreen beyond VR headset, for now I'm just going to buy the valve index controllers with the two dongle receivers for them as I want better tracking with index controllers with base stations over Quest 3 controllers.
You've just gained a sub and a like bro, keep it up and work hard ❤

2:30 i can throw this thing across the map that got me rolling 🤣 🤣
How is this crazy high quality good edited video has this little amount of views ? great video tbh
my fov and sweetspot is spot on when i got my thinner cushions..
but i think my ipd is still too narrow..
Such a good video, deserves more views
holy transitions
Bro your vids are so entertaining
Your gunna be MASSIVE one day, I wanna be like you bro
Nice vid! But what do you mean?... Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop works flawlessly! At least for me 😊 Untethered...no base stations...great fov...Love it.
Apparently it’s something with the i9 14th gen and 4090 that just doesn’t like the quest 3. So instead of spending more time troubleshooting, I just got a headset that don’t need extra encoding😭
1:35 you know what else is massive
LLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW TAPER FADEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I love my quest 3, the only single issue I have with it Is the black levels, it really needs local dimming, it does have this new setting for adaptive contrast which I believe dims the entire thing in dark scenes does work well... Sometimes, anyway I run the brightness super low, I have the contrast up a bit and I still love it absolutely mind blowing overall
Looks like the headset from ready player one
I can vouch for Quest 3 stutters. V71 ruined me D:
You da best got UA-camr
@ appreciate you 🫡👀
welcome home. gaben would be proud :)

I’m waiting for the beyond 2.0. Base stations and very tiny sweet spot + fov are not optimal
Right now the psvr2 on pc is working good for me.
michael has stacks
Stacks of coins 🪙
I'm sticking with the index until another headset is released and has less problems and better features. I'll also have to wait until I get enough money for it lmao
"i cant see i cant see" hope you get in the thin cushen soon lmaoo
😭
Nice review. If only pico 4 ultra came out with higher res panels. That would have been it.
Name?
Those headphones are probably Koss Porta Pros... unbeatable for like 40 years!
Looking like Sennheiser PX-100s 😅
Those Koss drivers are what the Rift CV1 used, right?
The only reason I still occasionally use my CV1 is audio.
@DiamondDepthYT Correct
How many base stations are you using?
2
I used to think this headset could only run bigscreen. I still dont understand how youre playing half life alyx on that little thing
Magic 🪄
man i wish i had a quest three
Do you need a PC to run it?
Yes, a powerful one too.
Waiting for the VALVE DECKARD!
Deckard my beloved.
👀
was the face scanning eazy our no
Simple and quick
@@MichaelZhao i just ordered one cant wait to use it
I have besides a quest 2 , quest 3 and pico 4 also a valve index. I had luck because I got a used one for a cheaper price
Mmmmm
please drill ur base to the wall lol
I’ve got 7ft tripods on the way for now. I might consider drilling after I find the best locations for them.
@@MichaelZhao and use VRwire II for the best pulley system
Mate just buy virtual desktop. Works great. You can double tap it.
R you going to main this headset?
Yes!
Sorry im late i was eating noodles.Edit:And no im not Asian im Canadian not that theres anything wrong with Asians
🍜
@@MichaelZhao How were you so fast?
@@MichaelZhao btw🍜
bro
I'm sorry but Meta Quest 3 is better lol
The quest 3 uses lcd screens so the dark scenes get really washed out.i have the quest 3 and psvr2 and some games and movies i prefer my psvr2 because of the oled screen.
Oled = Can’t play Silo without a flashlight or NVGs 😭
Personal preferences =/= fact.
Meta quest 3 seems way better
Quest 3 is still better for 99% of users. Just not for me 🥲
@ I can respect that
Personal preference =/= fact
this headset is ass you still need to use cable and got less hz resolution than quest 3
I’ve always liked to use the quest 3 plugged in so I don’t gotta worry about battery.
Beyond’s 90hz feels like Quest 3s 120 due to the Micro Oled panels. (Only issue I have with it is recording in 60fps, the frames are not even)
And the best improvement, is no more issues when recording VR (OBS and Meta don’t have to fight for GPU encoder)
(BSB- 13.1 million pixels)
(Quest 3- 9.11 million pixels)
Personal preference =/= fact
Also it has a better resolution and the 75-90 hz feels fine you’re really wrong
Also nofio teased a wireless adapter a while back
You can have preferences but you’re acting like it’s fact.
