Could we see a video of you buying things off of ebay??? I would LOVE to see how to not get scammed or broken parts, otherwise would jump on used parts
there is a channel for everyone some people are into high end others like the garbage tier performance for pretty much free and there are also SFF freaks
I just want to say I always appreciate you using fighting games in your test benchmark. I understand that with the 60 FPS logic most reviewers don’t see the point, but it’s good to know if I can run it maxed out (Also, you might want to include SF6 in your testing suite on release. World Tour mode doesn’t have framerate based logic)
I dont really see the point in adding em. Fighting games are incredibly easy to run. Off of the benchmarks for the games shown (like Spiderman) its pretty obvious this'll run any traditional fighting game at max.
@@youare5907 sometimes yeah, but for example, my 2060 can’t run SF6 at max settings, on a 6500XT MK11 needs to be turned down to medium with dynamic resolution before it hits a consistent 60 fps, and a few IGPUs and lower-end DGPUs ETA Prime has tested can’t max out I2 or SFV. Plus, as I said previously SF6’s single player campaign doesn’t run on 60 FPS logic, so it would be even more useful in that case
@@unkownomega Depends on the screen resolution and what games you wanna play. I'm only driving a 720p screen. In a lot of cases an optiplex with a low profile gpu would be great. If you're just wanting to play 2d arcade games you don't even need the gpu.
Over the holidays I picked up a 6600 and a 5700X to update my 2017 first gen zen rig. I was wondering how it would do with PCI 3.0. Thanks for the video.
I've also been poking around with budget builds recently, but since the used market here isn't great I purely focus on new parts - main differences in my build is that I land on a Ryzen 5500 instead, as it overclocks to near 5600X base levels. As for motherboard I currently lean towards Gigabyte B550M DS3H because it has 4 memory slots and 2 nvme slots, if you can settle for the less the Asrock B550M-HDV has 2 memoryslots, 1 nvme and is cheaper.
I’ve never heard of the open air cases. That’s cool. Kind of scares a little cause of everything I’ve been told about static and all that lol. I like it. Good video
you need a ton of static to kill components. its already been debunked that the static charge you generate from walking across carpet and stuff doesn't create enough energy to kill your parts
I like the open air frame you've chosen for this build. I like the smaller form factor cases, or being able to condense all the computer parts into as small of footprint as possible, and I think this frame would get me there. Your review of the AMD CPU for this build is timely as I've been wanting to get am AM4 chip and those Ryzen 5 5600's are well into my comfort zone. I'll also have to check out the video card too, my vanilla 1080 is feeling a bit dated. It's great to also see that the emulators for PS3 and Switch as running smoothly to! Great stuff!
I love the content you're brining out each time. I just watched your interview from 5 years ago so it's nice to put a face to the voice. Looking forward to the next one
I just built an open air MiniITX with that exact same motherboard! I did go with the Ryzen 5 5600G, 3600MHz DDR4 RAM and I added an OLED portable Monitor to my setup to make it all in one. I would post photos, but I can't. It a fun little build for sure.
hi, i'm fan of your work, and something i think will be of help is a video explaining some emulators configuration for this tipe of machines or similar machines
Careful with the 450 motherboards, if the BIOS hasn't been updated and you don't have USB flashback you can get hosed, I've had to send a mobo back to manufacturer for bios update to get my 5600G to work on even an a520, and I was lucky enough that I had the warranty option to do that. Always get motherboards with flashback if you're using 5th gen APUs! Or 5th gen CPUs at all for that matter. Awesome build. 6600 is great value! If you CAN splurge for a 6700XT for another $100, really recommend it, you're gonna get a nice bump in performance for 1440p
Sweet idea and awesome Frankenstein configuration with Ferrari performance on a reasonable budget! Always killer content best channel of them all! Daily entertainment thank you!!
Really nice build!, I love the build! only I think dust maybe will become an issue? Wat do you use for wallpapers?, I really like them! and thanks for al the great video's your making !
Dang, I really love the industrial look of this build! Does something like this stay plenty cool in sleep mode? I want to build something similar for my workshop, but I’m contemplating a removable cover for when I’m not using it to cut down on dust
I would like to see your Steam OS video. I love the form factor, however, I have small dogs, who don't seem to learn about fans and this cables a chew toys. Now it they only had an affordable Acrylic vented case to put your set-up in, well I would snap that up. Great video have a nice weekend.
I can still hear that congestion and I am waking up a couple times every night all week. Looking into my PC that went bad in December I’m on the AMD 8350, looks like I need to get a GTX 1070 8G. I’m hoping that’s the only thing that went bad was my GTX 970 which was installed used about a year ago by someone else. Wish me luck I need it I don’t even have a steam deck yet I’m going to take care of that problem very soon. ✊ 146 days No Alcohol 🥇🏆
Would be nice to see a power consumption added to all your pc videos now that it`s more important than ever to a lot of us, otherwise another great video although components can be accidentaly damaged easier in an open air system than in case.
Was there a voltage test I missed? As someone looking to live exclusively off solar battery power, your voltage tests have been a lifesaver on figuring out what would work best in my setup.
*This combo is basically the best bang for buck right now,* either in a simple case or on this test bench! AM4 with this Ryzen 5600 none X, a Radeon RX 6600 or even 5700 (XT), 16 Gigs and an SSD ... ready to rock PC gaming! The upgrade path to a 5800X or even 5800 X3D or a more potent RX 6800 (XT) is more than given. Only the board could have like 4 RAM slots so that the upgradeability from 16 to 32 Gigs is easier. Otherwise there is simply not much better bang for buck these days. Even if starting with a Ryzen 3600 and a RX 5700 is kinda really cheap and offers good 1440p and very good 1080p performance! It would have been interesting how much you paid after all? Is it a 400 bucks PC? - *You could take this as a comparison to Mini PC* that cost equal much for reference! *Also power consumptions would have been nice with this combo since it gives a hint on OEM PCs with limited PSU power and the usage of that RX 6600.*

I know I got better hardware but every time I see your benchmarks scores, I get the urge to see what I get. Nightraid is the first time I've experienced coil whine from my 4080.
Not too shabby at all, although again, te power draw would be useful information. For a tinkerer the open case makes things much easier, with (apart from cats and young kids) the only real potential drawback being dust.
Nice build! How did you manage to get Xenia to run that smooth tho ? I'm on a 5900x and a 6700xt build and I keep getting crashes on latest canary version, both on vulkan and d3d12, with poor performance overall. Are you using an older version or did you tweak it to support AMD hardware better ?
I really do love to get one of these open air cases, but what holding me back about Aliexpress is the shipping. Where I live, I have to pay up to 105$ just for shipping, cheapest I can find is around 80$, but total, I have to pay 115$ for it.
Open air builds have an undeserved bad reputation abut dust. I have been using them for many years and they stay very clean as long as you blow them every week, for which I have a little blower at hand. It is a simple operation that takes 20sg. But you can easily install protection grills if that is a concern.

Absolutely! Also curious to see if there is any performance difference with Pop OS or Manjaro

You know big tech youtubers are always doing unreasonably priced gaming pc's so its nice to see a 500.00 gaming pc that runs games really well!
Yeah, very anti-climatic when everyone has 4090 in their rigs as if the GPU is free(ok, maybe for them).
*LTT:* Let's show you the difference between a $10k PC vs a $50k PC. WHO CARES!?
*ETA:* So here are some actual PCs that people can buy:
Yea, a lot of them I'm sure they're cool people but they show of a lot of builds made with unobtainium.
If you interterested in this you should check out RandomGaminginHD. TechYesCity has a lot of used budget builds too.

Love the channel!! I am a follower since beginning! Keep it up!!
Very awesome I will go this route for putting into arcade builds.
That would actually bee pretty awesome, you could mount this inside without issue. Go with a lower end gpu or used and price comes way down also.

nah 5600. 5500 is significantly less powerful because of l3 cache decrease
Yeah, 5500 is generation lower than 5600 in terms of architecture. Less cache and less performant cores...

The other concern is dust/particles that could potentially short-circuit something, that might be a more valid concern.

Thanks nice video!
ETA PRIME name suits you, since everything related to PC, CPU, Windows and other similar words sound very robotic to me. :)
I pretty much have all of these components, just need a case but I like the look of this too. 5600G instead tho
I really feel you missed the target with the RGB RAM. Some plain black modules would do (Corsair Vengeance?).
I want this pc 🔥🔥🔥

Could you have used an sfx psu instead of the ATX?
nice video. may i ask what os your using here and what wallpaper is that? thank you.
If it can't run forspoken at 4k 60fps, is that a real master race gaming pc or just a filthy casual pc

amazing with only rx6600 can play high-ultra 60fps
