You Cooter are brilliant. I did explore the exhaust manifold on my 500 and that had soot marks around 1 & 4. Your findings and this above will defo give all sorts of rough running. I’m going to do what you say now as I can tell you are right already. Cheers
It may possibly help you, a leaking exhaust manifold could certainly cause incorrect fuelling, the lambda might be getting skewed signals. I hope you get to the bottom of your issue.
Yeah I’ve swapped parts from an identical 2016 car so not too much spending but this weekend I changed the belts, water pump, sump, rocker & ex. manifold gasket. Did a relearn. No errors registering in multiscan but STILL a rough idle. I’ll report back in a week after I do what you have suggested. I’m sure you are right here. Car has 60k miles. Thank you for replying I appreciate it.
Cooter, I did the inlet gaskets, exhaust gasket, cleaned everything with carb cleaner. Swapped plugs & coil from another same 500. It runs fine but once into a good 2mins of driving down the road, you can feel the odd mis and it then won’t idle nicely. No codes but idles a bit lumpy. I’ve checked the fuel vapour valve and isolated the servo to check it’s not them. Any ideas? coolant is fine clean not vanishing.
Just a final note to say yes on my 500 the rough idle was fixed by replacing these inlet gaskets and also the exhaust gasket was in bad shape. Nothing at all to do with plugs, coil or injectors for me. Obviously I flushed the injectors though while apart as well. So should you if attempting this job. Thanks for the video to kick me into getting on with it.
My car, Fiat Punto 1.2, shuts off repeatedly when pressing the clutch-sometimes immediately, sometimes after a while. What could be the problem? The scanner isn't showing any fault codes.
Hey, just wanted to update you on the issue with my car. First, we replaced the throttle body, but that didn’t fix the problem. Then we swapped out the automobile sensor, but the issue is still there. Here’s what’s happening now: When the engine is cold, the idle is fine and there's no problem. When the engine heats up, the idle starts to get unstable. When I turn on the A/C, the compressor starts up and everything works normally at first. But once the A/C reaches operating temperature and the compressor starts idling, the idle goes unstable again. When the compressor kicks back in, the idle returns to normal. Just wanted to share this and see if anyone has any advice on what might be causing this. Appreciate any help!
Ciao! Facendo la traduzione su Google ho capito che hai spianato il collettore di aspirazione per farlo diventare uniforme e hai poi messo delle rondelle esternamente con i dadi per fissarlo mejo. Ti perdeva aria dalle guarnizioni?
I sanded the mating surface flat, took the tubular spacers out and reduced their length with a grinder. Fitted the manifold back with very thick washers. Yes, M8 nuts. 13mm head size.
@@co0ter1 surging, very slight rough idle,. I put on a new throttle body gasket and manifold reface where the throttle body sits, it was a bit misshapen, new precat 02 sensor , and my obd reader bought up a MAP sensor code, had new map sensor seems about 95% ok but compared to my wife's identical car it's just not quite the same, not quite as crisp but loads better

This panda has developed the same problem.
I have checked everything, the only thing I'm not sure about is the ECU.

Thanks for this wonderful video, it's helped me out a lot!
thank you, this helped me a lot !
after removing the manifold the problem was easily fixed
Fantastic. Please subscribe, I might be covering some other jobs on these cars in the future.
👍good job brother
Awesome info, thanks a lot
Valuable information!!! Thanks!

Correct, excessive heat distorted the plastic manifold.
Could well be my problem, brilliant, what did you do in the end? Put washers under the nuts? Are they 13mm

@@co0ter1 I did check mine, they haven't pulled through but thanks for the info, much appreciated 👍🏼
